Delu - *thinks her sister could have done better and flits off to torment Domo*
Domo: *is trying to press a piece of grass to his mouth and play ut like an instrument, having little luck obviously; his face is screwed up in concentration as he blows hard with little result*
Delu - *finds Domo doing his little weird...thing and arches a brow with a sigh*
Domo: *blinks and looks up, giving a silght yelp and sitting at attention as he sees the princess* M-Miss Delusion! How do you d-d-do, ma'am? I-I was . . . I was just inspecting the ground.
Delu - *glances at the ground and dosen't really see anything worth inspecting* ...Inspecting it for ..what exactly? I don't really see anything intresting...
Domo: W-Well . . . *clears throat, tryingto get over being flustered* Well, I once saw a squirrel play a piece of grass like an instrument, so I was curious t-to see if I could recreate the sound. I've been having trouble, though . . .
Delu *blinks, copying a squirrel? who ever heard of such a thing. Then again she'd never heard of a wolf following a lynx around before Domo either. She sighed and gave him a patient look - he would be worth it in the long run she told herself.* Squirrels are not very smart Domo, the silly creature probably did it by mistake somehow and anyways they are smaller, you would need a much larger piece.
Domo: True . . . @@ Forgive me, I didn't mean to goof off for so long. *He had just been so sure he could create music! But of course he had to fail multiple times* Oh! Momma said she thought she had seen an intruder around the borders and wanted to check it out. I-I don't want her to go by herself, but I can't leave you alone for too long, Miss Delusion. So . . . I-I know I shouldn't be asking you to do anything for me, but can you come with me to go look for her? Momma can't fight by herself, and if the intruder really is around . . . *looks worried*
Delu - It's fine. *She told him as she looked off into the bushes behind him, clearly not really paying attention, until he mentioned the word intruder. Intruders? Could it be him? The unmentionable evil? Could they have found her and her family. She must investigate of course - just to be sure and pricked her ears as she turned back to Domo, feigning a worried look - she had ot make him like her after all and if that ment pretending to care about the cat then so be it.* Yes..yes of course we must not let her walk into danger alone. Lead the way then..lets flush this intruder out!
Domo: Oh, thank, my lady! *tail wags furiously several times in relief before he leads her towards the edges of Agua Azul, sniffing out Lemon Lime within seconds; he had pretty much grown up with the scent, he'd be able to pick it out easy* Momma! Momma, don't go too far! *picks up the pace, surprisingly fast even at a brisk trot*
Lemon Lime: *whispering her final words to Stryker quickly* Remember our plan. Back off once hte trigger is pulled and I will meet you at our hollow later. *bounds away and faces him, now putting on the mask of having just found the "intruder" who had been accosting the borders, ears flattened and eyes slitted* Over here!
Delu - *let out a small huff as she followed in Domo's wake, she wouldn't admit it of course but she had to press herself a tie or two in order to keep up with him as he sped through the forest, her ears flattening slightly as a tangle of weeds pulled at her fur in passing. Would it be wrong to hope the cat bought it before they caught up with her? Probably so Delu told herself.
Stryker - *bobs his head as Lime gave the last of her instruction - she had a mighty good plan he had to admit, a mighty good plan! He only hoped that he could pull it off!..well no time to think on it now - here came the wolves! The purple one that was the so called princess he reminded himself as she came upon the scene. With a nasty sounding snarl he bounded foreward dodging around Lime and making for the princess*
Lemon Lime: Damn! *she looked as if they had scuffled before, mud clinging to her usually clean pelt, breath coming in pants, fangs bared as she attempted to stop Styker but half-flopped instead, one leg held out as if sprained* Get her away!
Domo: *Yelps at the incoming bullet of crimson and black, the face half pale like a skeleton, and as commanded he makes to butt Delusion away; he had to make the obligatory apology for it too* Sorry!
Delu - *She had been about to confront this intruder, head and tail high with an impervious look upon her face - feeling safe no doubt against nothing but a silly cat. But before a word could even be spoken the pale faced Lynx was streaking towards her. Her eyes widenng in surprise Delu braced herself but found herself knocked sideways and rolling into the grass as Domo knocked her out of the way, his sorry filling the air behind her as she scrambled to regain her feet and turn to look upon the fray. "It's an assassin!" she yelled, for no mere spy would simply attack like that!
Stryker - *He growled as the accursed black wolf knocked the princess out of the way, thought Lemon Lime had told him he would protect her - indeed that was part of the plan he still found it irritating and skid to a stop before the other wolf, small tail twitching for a moment before he dashed around a nearby tree - trying to use the brush to slow the wolf down so that he could reach the princess who still floundered on the ground. Go for the girl Lime had told him and thats what he planned to do. Leaping a bush he flew through the air straight towards her, claws extended and an evil look on pale face*
Domo: Nnng. M'lady, please run! *follows the apparent assassin's trila wiht his eyes, rolling to his feet and making circles about the princess, muscles in his legs tensed. One . . . two . . . three . . . now! The cat leapt at her, and he sprung using the full power of his backlegs, front limbs outstretched to catch and almost "hug" the lynx*
Lemon Lime: You heard him, run! *her voice is a pained rasp as she limps over; ever the actress! But she counted on the proud princess not leaving; and even if she did, it only proved then that Delusion was a coward, and that information would also work well to her advantage*
Delu - *Her eyes widened as the Lynx suddenly apeared over the bush, leaping through the air straight towards her with those wicked looking claws outstretched towards her. Domo's voice rang through the woods pleading with her to run and Delu thought aboutit she really did, her feet back pedaling for a few steps. But she was royalty by god and royalty did not run in the face of danger she told herself, that was part of what made them so much more then common wolves. Flattening her ears she made a milisecond decision to stay, to face the Lynx flying towards her but even as she stepped foreward to face the rushing Lynx domo was there, flying through the air towards the beast. Limes voice joined Domo's plea and Delu spared her a quick glance "Run? Never!" She told the cat with a scornful look before boundng foreward - sure she had never been in a fight before but it was probably instinctual right?
Stryker - He collided painfully with the black wolf in mid air, but tried to put his more agile cat reflexes into play by pushing against the wolf chest and stomach in anattempt to break free as they tumbled towards the ground. The purple princess was still his target after all and she was rushing into the fray!
Domo: *No, no, no! Why wasn't she leaving, gods, /why/?! He was buffeted about by the lynx, its powerful limbs pushing razor-sharp claws deep into his skin to push him off. He scrambled to catch a hold with his jaws, but all he caught were the ends of hair, empty air, his breaht pushed right out of his chest at one point and leaving him wheezing on the ground*
Lemon Lime: *wincing, limping over as quickly as she possibly can towards Domo* Are you DAFT, woman? Get away!
Delu - *Snarling the she-wolf jumped towards the lynx as it pushed away from Domo, who fell to the ground wheezing. She hoped he wasn't to terribly hurt but she didn't have time to dwell on him for long the Lynx was before her! "Tell me who sent you!" she yelled at the beast before lunging with her jaws open in an attempt to catch hold of the Lynx's throat, a manuver more suiting to pup wrestling then proper fighitng - thought Delu of course was unaware of this fact.
Stryker - *landing hard on the ground the Lynx would have liked a moment to right himself, chest heaving to catch his breath as the black wold wheezed on the ground. But no such luck! The purple princess was shrieking a question and lunging towards him. So inexpirienced he could tell - not like the blakc olf who had so perfectly timed his leap before. This was the perfect opportunity he knew and when the purple wolf lunged the Lynx let her get close before ducking down and dodging sideways only to pivot and launch himself onto the princess' back, in an attempt to bring her down.
Delu - As the lynx ducked away he teeth snapped on empty ai and she struggled to find the beast again. Too late! She yelped and she tumbled to the ground with the lynx on top.
Domo: *So out of breath from the strong blow to his chest, he can only hoarsely yell* No . . . ! He shakily gets to his paws in time to see Lemon Lime approach him, a knowing look in her eyes. And at this time, Domovoi didn't care whether his "momma" knew what was going on or not. Never before had he thought he would plead for the beast to be released, but . . . He coughed and gulped for air, murmuring in a whisper* Please . . .
Lemon Lime: *with a grim smile she leans forward into his ear as he tilts his head to her, eyes shut to prepare himself. The whispers blur together to him, mixed with the princess's cries, only . . . only they weren't the princess's anymore*
*They sounded more like his mother's a wail hungry for love that she had never been given. He heard not the lynx's growls, but the deeper, the more foreboding growls of another, the tall figure of his sire approaching, warning her not to move, not to so much as think of alerting the others. And himself, watching from a lower vantage point, wide-eyed with horror and a semblance of righteous anger that bubbled within a sealed container within him. Not again . . . not again! that growl that quickly turned int oa seductive purr, that promised a warm bed for only a night, just one, was it so terrible? He was not ugly after all, she had said so herself.*
Domo: *Without warning his eyes fly open, lit up with some sort of inner fire, teeth gritted behind tight lips, a strangely bestial growl frothing at the base of his neck. He eyed the lynx and his precarious perch upon Delusion's back and acted quickly, precisely. Several bounds later, the servant with some unknown fashion of courage bent his head right over the lynx and made to grab him by the scruff of his neck with one quick dive - like a bird darting for the worm*
Stryker - *So intent was he on the princess struggling beneth him that he nearly forgot the black male. He was finished he told himself - wheezing on the ground. Limes plan called for the black wolf to win but he would go one better and kill the princess now! If only she would hold still long enough for him to get a decent grip on her! These thoughts were still flinging through the Lynx's mind when a dark shadow suddenly announced the presenc of the bounding black wolf, a look in his eyes that Stryker had not seen before. Before he could react the lynx found himself yanked from the princess in the grip of the black. Spitting at the clearly mad wolf Stryker flailed with his claws in the fashion of all cats to make the wolf let go. If seemed running off like Lime had planned would be the best course of action after all.
Delu - Yelping and squirmng under the lynx whose weight kept her off balnce and pressed into the dirt Delu found herself quite frightened - a royal she might be but she'd never learned to fight. Something she would have to rectify after this she thought to herself. Quite suddenly however the weight was lifted and she scrambled to her feet turning to see who had saved her - perhaps another member of the pack had arrived while she struggled - but no! Domo! Domo had saved her, there was a wld look about him that she had never seen before and she glanced at Lime - of course! the phrase! Lime had used it and she had been so preoccupied in her eagarness to join the fight that Delu hadn't noticed! Cursing herself she flun herself towards Lime "Lime! Lime! what do we do now? Will he win?" Her gaze swung back to Domo as he fought with the lynx, she dare not interfere now, and she looked at Domo in an entirely new manner. Not just a servant after all she thought. More like a knight. Her knight, and she would use him - well if he survived.
Lemon Lime: *heaves a breath, forcing her "sprained" leg to slide behind her as the princess approached. She watched Domo levelly as she spoke* He will no doubt win, m'lady. Watch.
Domo: *Suffering gashes to his neck and chest didn't seem to phase the wolf, grabbing the scruff even tighter until he could taste warm blood beginning to trickle into his mouth. Growling menacingly, Domo flung the cat in a wide swing towards a tree, forgetting to let go half-way through the toss so that some stray hairs remained in his mouth, some even caught between his teeth. The weight of swingin hte lynx had strained his neck, but he simply made a movement that popped it, spat out the hairs, snorted almost violently through his nostrils as they flared, and stalked forward towards the intruder*
Stryker - *He let out a screeching yowl as the wolf suddenly flung him towards the tree, fleash teaing painfully when the mad beast forgot to let go. This pain however would be nothing compared to the pain of actually crashing into the tree however and Stryker flailed and twisted in the air in an attempt to right himself in md-air in that cat like fashion. He semi-managed to do so, crashing into the tree with his chest rather then his side and wrapping his legs about the trunk, bark splintering and falling beneth his claws as he scrambled up the tree a ways, out of the wolfs reach before leaping - hopefully - over his head and making a mad dash into the woods. He was going to be sore he knew, once the adrenaline faded. Sore for quie some time and that would be the best case senario. He had to get away first.
Delu - *Her eyes widened as she watched the fight, cringing as the lynx was thrown with such force, at he blood tricklng from Domo though he didn't seem to notice it. Blood tricked from her own back as well..and it was starting to sting now that she was no longer so focused on fighting and escaping herself. Delu pushed these thoughts away hoever, pedaling backwards as the lynx scrambled up the tree - sure that he was goingto make another rush at her - but no...he ran for the woods and Delu heaved a breath of relief. "How..how do you calm him?" She suddeny asked, fearful that Domo would follow the lynx or turn his anger towards the two of them.
Lemon Lime: *Sighs inwardly, knowing that in this state it would be too dangerous to get close enough to whisper the cut-off phrase; ah well, it was useless for Delusion to know anyway, not knowing its significance nor the trigger phrase. She steps forward, swallowing*
Domo: *huffs a growl, not amused that the intruder was deciding to flee so early into the hunt. Cowards had no purpose in this world. He makes to bound right after, yet he is stopped by one thing - not the fact that blood was beginning to stream out from his various wounds nor the soreness accompanying his straining attacks, but rather in the singular sound of a cleared throat. He turns his head to view the familiar two-toned lynx and the newly-familiar swirl-girl, eyes narrowed with impatience. Normally he might have just thrown himself upon them for interrupting his hunt, but the familiar senses gave him a long enough pause for Lemon Lime to take advantage of. He was, after all, only a stupid beast who had to process things slower*
Lemon Lime: *docks her ears, recalling the sense of eternal fear "Lemon" always felt since kithood, and though the old memories threaten to overwhelm her as they had Domovoi, Lime keeps it under control with a thorn-tight grasp, directing it to her purposes: acting. Her voice takes on a softer quality, almost younger even* Soothe, great beast, do not harm me, for I am a friend of thee.
Domo: *snorts loudly again, tail flicking as he eyed her squarely down - eyed those large specs for truth in the words. And he began to remember again, the flight from the pack, the loneliness, feeding on what he could scavenge day to day, and the soft moans one day that led to their bond . . . All at once the fire seems to die down in his eyes, his posture no longer stiff as he shakes his head a little, wincing as he regained his bearings. Upon finding that several teeth were poking out in a most crude fashion from his lips, he tucks them back under, flushing* O-Oh my . . . *Gods, he felt horrible: pained, strained, and worn out*
Delu - *as Domo turned towards them Delu took note of the narrowed eye and impatient huff, the stance and bearing of his body no longer that of the servantlike calm and peacable creature she typically applied to him. No now it was quite clear he was something entirely differant. Something dangerous and Delu worked hard to supress the slight whine that wanted to escape. Royalty...did not whine she told herself - even inthe face of...well whatever Domo was now. She had heard of this inner beast of course - Lime had told her of it, but hearing of something and seeing it were two entirely differant things and it wasn't until now that Delu fully grasped it. With a start Delu realised that Lime was speaking and she refocused her attention. this phrase! It had to be important and she must remember it, tucking it away in the back of her mind for later - thought it took a few inner repititions to make t stick. She was a bit flustered after all - thankfully however, Limes fix seemed to work - Domo slowly returned to his normal looking self and Delu took a few cautions steps foreward, She started to say his name but recalling Lime's presence switched to his other title. "D...Servant?" She questioned softly, as though making sure he was indeed back to normal.
Domo: *Ack, what did he /do/? Where was the lynx - Oh. alright. So gashes to the chest, a few to the neck, the shoulders, close call around the eyes . . . The loss of blood was beginning to make him a little light-headed, but he forced his limbs to remain strong as he slowly padded over. Weakly he wagged a tail, seeing that both of them had encountered some wounds of their own but nothing too bad, and for a moment he smiled with relief. Yet the second the princess called him "servant", that inflated bubble popped and fell back to the bottom again. He had liked it when she called him by name . . . Had his display frightened her back? Oh gods, he must have done something wrong! He bowed his head respectively with a wince* M'lady?
Delu - When Domo seemed so relieved to see them unscathed and padded foreward with a smile of relief on his face Delu let out a breath she hadn't known she was holding. He was back to himself! Good...good...but his smile faded quickly when she spoke to him and she cringed inwardly but managed to keep it of her face, it always seemed to be one step forward and once step back with Domo - she had been doing so well in gaining his trust - but now he had once again reverted to his former self. It must have been the name she called him by - she hadn't said anything else, or perhaps it was just that blasted cats presence. No matter - she'd fix it later she told herself, whatever it had been. 'Your..,your injured" she told him a tinge of worry in her voice "Can you make it back to the dens?"
Domo: I-I think so. *His state of disarray probably disturbed her just as much as his ferocious personality had earlier; Delusion was always one that advocated cleanliness after all. Funny that this was what he thought of right now!*
Lemone Lime: Haste, then. *eye twitches as she drags herself onward* I'd rather not linger knowing that the cat is out there still.
Domo: *merely nods, head hung and eyes to the floor as he waits first for Delusion to move. He needed to act as a rear guard, wounds or no wounds. Gods, but those cuts /stung/ though.*
Delu - *Casting a finaly critical look over Domo as he stood there with head hung, Delu turned and began to make thier way back to the dens - she wanted to thank Domo for saving her, surely the assassin had ment to kill her. The unmentionable evil must know of her plans to hunt him down - spys..she nearly spat..spies were everywhere! Yes she wanted to thank him - but not in front of Lime and certainly she couldn't keep him standing there so wounded. She would tell him later, when all of them had thier wounds seen too.
