Valentines Day can be a great holiday, or a horrible one, with or without a significant other. Post if you do or don't like Valentines day, and if you like, why. =)

Honestly, I don't like it.. Not yet at least. I've always been alone but if I was with someone then maybe I'd like it.

i've never had a significant other, ever, but valentine's day really doesn't bother me at all. it's just another excuse for people to be sappy. it can be fun, but i don't really care.

Repost: I hate Valentines Day because work in a restaurant. Last year it was insanely busy. If I ever have a girlfriend around Valentine's I'll do my best to please her, cook for her, and romance her without going to a restaurant, for the sake of the staff.

Pain does not exist... Hate it... some of my worst memories have happened on Valentines Day, and other bad memories are brought up by Valentines Day...
1) My first boyfriend broke up with me for good on Valentines Day cuz he had cheated on me... for the second time...
2) First time I had revenge sex was on Valentines Day... Had sex with my friend Kittie, cuz my bf had ignored me all day when I had specifically rode 3 hours in a train to see him.
3) One of my friends in Elementary school had died very young (I think I was in 5th grade at the time... maybe 4th) and my only token of remembrance of him was a Valentines Day card... one of like... maybe 5 I had gotten that year ><...in my dojo

I hate all sickeningly commercial holidays (excluding the one you get to dress up however the ******** you want and scare children). Even when I was with someone I never liked it.
Plus I don't like sappy-ness.

I've never been all that into valentine's day to begin with. Lately, I've had very little interest in ANY holiday due to the horrible commercialism about them all.
I pretty much use valentine's day now as a marker of when my birthday is in relation.

I am indifferent to valentine's day.
I dislike engaging in sappy stuff myself, but if other people want to be sheep and be sappy in unison, go right ahead.

I don't see the point in it. If you have a significant other, shouldn't you be treating them like that all year round? It's just another poor excuse for Halmark to sell cards.

Oshenukhar hate it only because it is my brothers bday lol Mine too!!! Haha that's awesome. It's a blessing and a curse. If I had a Valentine, it would suck because I want to spend as much time as possible with them. But if I didn't have one, then it's a good thing cuz I can just party with my brother. But yep.... I'm Valentineless once again this year. It's not because no one wants me, I just have very high standards and the only girl I want is unavailable so I rather not......

It kind of bothers me. My ex and I never had a good Valentines day, and now that I have someone I'm truly happy with I kind of don't feel like it's important, y'know? If you want to be lovey dovey, do it on your anniversary because you love each other and you want to celebrate being together for so long, not because commercial america told you to buy her some candy and flowers or she'll hate you....
