I was sooo close to paying off my visa! Had it down to a thousand. Figured in 2 months I'd be all payed off and could go back to saving half my payments. But when service canada saw that my courses had changed, they decided to suspend my file and so I haven't received any money since January 16th. At this point in time, my visa is up to 1300. I've got pet food, phone bill, gas, insurance, food for myself! school books etc. And no money! So of course I freaked out a bit, ran down to their office, got everything squared up. But the lady told me it would take 1-3 weeks for the paperwork to go through. 3 WEEKS! I haven't had a payment in 3 weeks already! I need to make visa payments, I need to pay for gas, I need to feed my pets and myself! She said I could call in one week if it hasn't gone through yet and insist they review it asap. gonk Luckily I do have money in savings, but it's in a TFSA so it will take a few days to transfer that money out. And I am really upset about dipping into my savings for who knows how long. She said there's a chance I won't get accepted again and I will have to make an appeal. She says I would for sure win, but OMG I need money now crying
This is a vent in case you haven't caught on yet. I'm also pretty lucky my boyfriend is in the army, has zero cost of living (doesn't have a car yet, room and board is covered, food is free etc.) And gets paid a generous amount and he is crazy generous with that money. (I have to fight with him over the bill when we go out to eat he ALWAYS wants to pay) But he's moving bases and wont be able to come to Montreal where I live for a very long time except when he is on leave, so we will be spending weekends at my grandmothers house which happens to be almost half way for both of us which means a lot MORE gas for me. It also means he is buying a car and will have insurance and gas to pay for.
SOO, basically I am trying to get money in any way I can. Selling my video editing software which I never even got to use cause my comp broke, selling school books from last year, getting pushy with people who owe me money, hitting up my parents for money to pay for my school books etc.
It's been pretty crazy to say the least. Cowboy's agility training has been put on hold once again, I wonder if we'll ever make it to a competition sad
Edit: What do I do after writing this post? I go to school and make an appointment for a General Physical Exam and blood work for my cat which will cost me at least a hundred dollars...I would give up my car before I would deny him his check up or expensive healthy food.

That sucks! Just try to keep up with your minimum payments or they'll really screw you. There's also this thing on amazon, I forget what it's called, but you do things like write articles or draw pictures and each one you do, they pay you a certain amount for it. I made $10 before I got bored.

That sucks! Just try to keep up with your minimum payments or they'll really screw you. There's also this thing on amazon, I forget what it's called, but you do things like write articles or draw pictures and each one you do, they pay you a certain amount for it. I made $10 before I got bored. Can you send a link for that? 10$ is like, gas for at least half a week for me!

If you have the time, put up ads on Craigslist for things like dog walking, pet sitting, or bathing. You could make some extra cash on the side. Heck, see if you could even get someone to hire you and Cowboy to do frisbee demos for events.

Oh yeah, also, I'd be careful about any of the ones that tell you to go to a different website and enter personal information. I never do those ones, just the ones that give you like $1-$2 for writing an article, or drawing a picture or whatnot.

Well I just sold my video editing software on Amazon, now I have to figure out how to ship it and I have less than 2 days now to do it. gonk But it sold A LOT faster than I thought it would so im wondering what else I can sell...

That's good news! I don't know about Canada, but in the US you can get free shipping boxes from usps. If it's a CD, the easiest way to ship it would probably be one of those manilla envelopes with the bubble wrap inside, and I'd wrap it in newspaper too to be on the safe side. Then just take it to the post office and the rest is easy. =) I love shipping stuff. Though the only things I've ever shipped have been fish.

I still haven't been paid for that software and it's now been well over a month my claim with Service Canada was suppose to have been finalized and I finally got a call today to say it would be another few days evil
I am going to loose it on their asses! This is crazy. I was suppose to have been paid 3 weeks ago, and they said they put a urgent notice and that it would be another 3 days, then no one calls me so I call back again, they will have someone call me in the next 2 days. 2 days passes no calls, I call again, they will have someone call me in the next 3 business days. I call again, oh their comp is not working! Finally today I get a call and she asks me the same questions I've answered 3 times. Then tells me she's the agent in charge of my claim and she will reach her decision within the next few days. I was like DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY TIMES IVE HEARD THAT! She says for sure in the next few days it will be finalized. I'm like OMG i've heard that to. I'm sooo pissed off at these people right now.
