This was a mind set that Lyra rarely took on, and that was she was taking the role hunter. Whomever was at the end of her invisible road... well, they were the hunted.

She was hurt, upset, and angry. Some psychopath negaverser had decided to attack one of her very own, one of her family members. This was something that she took very personal. All of the training she had done... the people she saved- none of them were family. She always felt the need to save as many lives as possible... but this time was different. Previously she would just let the negaverser get away, it was not worth chasing them when there was someone hurt to tend to. This time there was someone else to watch after her cousin- someone whom she knew she could trust. This time- Lyra was out for blood.

She had no idea where to begin her search- the only keywords given to her were that it was someone from the negaverse, she was female, and there was supposedly a second female senshi already on the trail. Normally if she was thinking rationally- she would know that the city is tooo large and it would be impossible to track them down now. This was the beauty of a irrational thought process, they just don't give a damn.

Her search started off short ranged, but gradually it expanded out to anywhere within running distance.. and as a senshi, thats really really far. She could feel the ache of her leg muscles as she jumped from building to building, but it was no where near the same intensity as pain in her chest.

After searching for what felt like hours Lyra changed her direction and ended up heading towards the hospital- unknowingly to her. She continued her search until up ahead- she caught a glimpse of something (blue?) leaping over the rooftops as well. Was this friend or foe... was this whom she was looking for? Eyes narrowing she changed her path and directed her attention to the new person. She soon noticed that this one... was not wearing a fuku. It did not occur to her to look around for the second senshi- all she cared about was this was clearly a negaverser... and she was looking for a fight.

For once Demy had actually -welcomed- the ability to just sink away into a mental abyss. Allowing the stronger personality to take over felt nice...felt right even. With the outfit came the speed, power, confidence, and perhaps the most important thing of all...

The blood lust.

Demy sank into his mental corner, stuck worrying over Z and giving the occasional mental tug of 'hey, we should go check on him...', while the other side pushed on. Ambulance, they were taking Z to the hospital in an ambulance. Demy knew nothing about medicine, health care, any of that...the professionals would take care of it..and he could see about getting some revenge. He really had no idea where to go, who to even -look for-. Bullies didn't do this, not this time. Hadn't Z told Scheelite that he'd run into things in the city? Senshi? Monsters? Maybe one of those had come back after his buddy...

He had failed, as both Demy and Scheelite. Some 'military' body-guard he made.

That sad little side of himself thought maybe jumping around to burn off some of the energy, the anger, the sadness would help. The other side told it to shut the -hell- up as they were only out to kick someone's a** in Z's name. A few more rooftops...now slowly heading in the direction of the hospital.

That's when he saw it, the flash of someone else leaping along the rooftops just like him. Maybe, just maybe if he had actually -met- a senshi he'd have some reservations about going after them. Maybe if he knew they had magic, or that this one was out for blood just like him. Or maybe, just maybe, if the timid side of him wasn't so consumed with hate he would have gone another course.

Unfortunately for them both, this wasn't the case. The blue form jumped off a rooftop, seemingly disappearing between two buildings. It was only when Lyra drew closer that the Negaverser rocketed back out from between the two and straight at her.

It all took about two seconds for her to realize that he had disappeared- another two seconds to see where he had went. Though this time, she was a second too late. Clouded by her rage as she also dove towards the space between two buildings- Lyra soon found herself staring into the eyes of a unfamiliar- but worthy foe.

The tackle attack hit successfully, and sent Lyra spiraling backwards into a brick building with a CRASH. She landed- back side down on the roof... more than likely putting a nice dent in it. She gasped for air as the unexpected attack knocked the wind out of her. Glaring up at her opponent- she screamed "NEBULA SCATTER" and sent dust particles into the air around her. That should hopefully disorient him for the time being.

Lifting herself off the ground she backed away from the Negaverser. Her blood lust would be the end of her- if she was thinking straight she would have either a- ran away or b- realized in a fist fight she would lose. This negaverser was male. (more warning bells should have gone off with that realization- she was looking for a female!)

Before thinking- Lyra launched herself in a similar manner that he had previously right back at him. TWO could play this way, or so she thought. If she really was thinking.. she would have used the veil of her attack more to her advantage and stayed hidden.

He had landed nearby, a rather sick smirk twisting it's way across his face as he got back to his feet. Silly...girl? Yeah, girl. Silly thing, thinking she could chase after him. The outfit was interesting (and something to be wary of! screamed the other half), but really? -This- was his opponent? Whatever, he'd make quick work of her, add a starseed to his collection, and be on his merry way to Z.

"What the hell are ya screaming for? I haven't even..."
The query was quickly cut off, the air filled with stinging little specks of...whatever the hell. With an animalistic snarl Scheelite backed up and rubbed at his eyes. What the ******** was this?! How had she summoned this?! She was just a girl!

A girl in a...

"You're a senshi aren't you?!"
The amount of emphasis on the word 'senshi' sounded almost like he had to spit to say it. One would expect a Negaverse agent to know what Senshi looked like, but this was his first time running into one...

No matter, he'd still take care of -her-.

Of course, he still couldn't see. The pain wasn't bothering him too much (he'd feel it later, said the other voice), but it was disorientating and frustrating as all hell. One hand still rubbed furiously at glowstick eyes, while the other worked to free the guitar controller he called a weapon from his back. It was right about when Lyra leapt at him the he managed to free it and swing it in a direction that seemed vaguely -right-. Teary, dust filled eyes did not make for good vision, but he could steal hear her. At least he wasn't a complete sitting duck.

'Naw, Really?' was all that ran through her mind once the plainly obvious question was said. He thought she wore this bow infested bathing suit with a skirt for no reason? She had better taste than that!

Her attack was not the most useful in the world, but it was not the most useless either. The best part about this attack... was that it had no effect on her. Well, almost. She still had issues seeing but at least she did not get little stinging particles of sand in her eyes- that was more than her new friend could say.

She felt her fist connect to his torso- sending a shock wave through both of them- causing her knuckles to scream in protest. Something in the back of her mind was screaming 'more... fight more!' Just before she got hit, hard, on the shoulder with some sort of blunt object. Lyra winced- and used the force of the attack to jump backwards into her own fog. That was definitely going to leave a nasty bruise...

Somewhere in the far off distance, or so it felt like, something was telling her that this was the WRONG target and not the right time to fight for no reason at all. That little voice soon hushed up and would not return until after this battle ended.

Giving her own equally feral growl- she dove for what looked like a old broom stick. Fight with blunt objects? Fine.

PostPosted: Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:30 pm

She had connected, but so had he! The blow to his torso had hurt but now was not the time to show weakness. He was a Negaverser damnit! A being of darkness, of destruction, of death.

Inside Demy screamed no. Not being in control had it's perks. He didn't have to think, didn't have to move his body through his unbearable -sadness- to go see if his best friend was still alive. But this was not right. This wasn't his target...was it? She seemed as angry and out of control as his darker side was...

And yet it just wasn't time to think about it. Not now. Shoved back to his mental corner the little voice of Demy gave a final defiant cry and was gone. Bloodlust was all he needed, and bloodlust was all he knew.

"Come BACK here!"
Guitar in hand, the brightly colored agent dove blindly into the fog and after his prey. Again he swung wildly. Well timed hits did not matter, all that mattered was actually hitting the other. And maybe, just maybe if he could drive her towards the edge...well he always did have an advantage bouncing around in an alley.

Now that the annoying voice in her head was gone- Lyra felt more like a animal now than ever before. Was she truly.. any better than the negaversers now? Yes she was fighting the opposing faction- but in her current state she might even attack a innocent if too close. 'Berserker' was not a nice state to be in.

So much for fighting with blunt objects.

At first she could not see anything herself- until the same edge of the guitar nearly knocked her upside the head. She narrowly escaped that attack with a quick parry. Bad thing about sight being taken away, you still had touch and hearing and from the way Scheelite was swinging at her... he clearly could but 1+2 together and knew she was in front of him.

Soon she found herself backed into a corner, or well.. a edge. The edge of the building. THIS was not going to end nice.

PostPosted: Wed Feb 03, 2010 11:15 pm

Perfect.

Sure the majority of his swings weren't connecting. That was okay! His goal was to get her off this rooftop and away from that annoying cloud of stinging dust anyway. And he had done just that, excellent.

Grinning, Scheelite dove off the rooftop, nabbing Lyra by the front of her costume as he flew by. Once he was sure they were definitely midair and away from the relative safety of the rooftop itself he released Lyra to let her plummet to the ground below. His own path continued, taking him right to the next wall over, and from there he bounced down the walls until managing to land in the alley on his feet. A particularly evil (and not all together -there- ) snicker escaped the lieutenant as he stepped towards the fallen Senshi. This shouldn't take much longer...

Then it'd be off to find Z.

s**t.

This was indeed not going to last much longer. While Lyra and Scheelite both might have the same craving for violence, when it came down to it there was no competition. Schee overpowered her when it came to brute strength. Lyra was always more of a thinker while in battle- she used what was around her. While her senshi self caused her defense, speed, and overall power to be heightened... it was still not enough to compare to the lieutenant.

She was flung off the side of the building with one last jab of the Guitar. She should have probably jumped off herself before the hit connected, but she was not thinking straight.

Flying backwards for the third time this battle- she expected to hit the ground once more. This time though, the negaverser had other plans. He grabbed Lyra by her fuku- and instead of just letting her fall at a angle- he shoved her down. In a attempt to catch herself- she probably made one of her most fatal mistakes of the fight. With a loud crack, her body shivered and ached under the force of the impact. In a attempt to save herself- she landed on her torso. She broke a rib.

Rolling over her eyes were now blurry from pain- she sat up as quick as she could and hunched over in pain, the negaverser was approaching.

"You know..."
He was going to talk. To talk and taunt and tease while he finished off this pathetic excuse for an opponent. At least as Scheelite, Demy's voice wasn't as irritating. For once it was rather business-like, not the usual high-pitched hyper kind of tone he took on.

"For being a Senshi you seem kind of weak. Day in and day out the news reports about you guys, and the General-King stresses the importance of taking you out..."
Stepping closer now, and once within range it was a quick grab and shove against the wall. It was easy, hell this girl was even shorter than -Z-.

A quick punch, right to her pretty little face. If nothing else she was going to have some pretty bruises, but then again Scheelite wasn't exactly counting on her -living- through this ordeal anyway. This was just fun.
"And yet, you're the very first one I've met, and you barely offer a challenge? How's that feel hrm? First Senshi I run across and you're going to die. Some fighter you are."

Generally, being cocky in the middle of a fight wasn't a good idea. But hey, he had her -pinned- and he was pretty sure he had heard a crack in there somewhere. It should be a piece of cake from here on out.

"And for a negaverser- you are a bit of a d**k."

Not that all of them weren't. The last time she actually saw a negaverser... was when she was saving her cat from their clutches. Wow- that really was a long time ago. She gritted her teeth and teared up more as the punch hit her in her face. Blood squirted out of her nose and was soon steadily streaming out, but it was not broken. A few more of those punches though and she wouldn't hold her breath. She really really did not like this guy and wanted to be far away from him, being incapacitated at the time though didn't really help.

The talk about her being weak was something that struck her harder than the blows he was dealing to her. She was weak- she was a 'little girl' by civilian standards, but she was a senshi... and senshi were strong. Her rage and blood lust was disappearing with every punch. Oh it was still there, she wanted to kick this ******** a**, but she needed to start to think before he really DID kill her.

Time to start thinking.

She could not use her attack anymore- unfortunately that attack was limited to once per battle... she had used it too early. The mist was still swirling above them more transparent than before, Soon it would disengage completely.

Through her rage- she thought of something.

Earlier she hit him on his torso and he didn't seem to show any kind of faulter, but what if she hit him again- in the same spot? Still pinned down she attempted something stupid, and that was a Falcon Punch right to his chest. He should have pinned her better- if her arms were free she still could fight.

PostPosted: Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:58 am

"Really? Why -thank you-."
At her comment he had leaned closer. Really to any onlooker it'd probably look suggestive. Really suggestive. Thankfully he didn't swing that way...then again no one would really know that.

At this distance he really couldn't focus on much besides her face. Bloodied and bruised, with rage shining behind those bright eyes. His own eyes seemed to dance with a sort of malicious glee...at least until the epic punch hit him square in the chest. There was definitely a reaction this time. A rather sickening CRACK echoed through the area, and the lieutenant made a noise somewhere between a scream of pain and a battle cry. Lyra was free now at least, dropped so Scheelite could stagger back and clutch uselessly at his chest.

Hadn't Z told him to -be careful-? Not to hurt his ribs anymore? The thought floated around in the back of his head...he needed to go find Z, to make sure he was okay...

But not until he finished up here. Definitely not. Especially now that she had caused damage. Eyes wide and wild he dove after her again, making sure to swing his weapon rather than his fists. He was slower now, the pain in his side and chest radiating throughout his body. But he was not going down without a fight.

And he'd break every bone in her body if he had to to insure that he had -won-. Now the goal was knock her down, break bones, incapacitate her in any way. Pain, desperation, and anger made for a wild sort of mix.

The feeling of bones cracking under her fist was one she wouldn't forget easily. She was not sure what feeling it was, for now she will just shrug it off to ponder another day. "Who's a weak senshi now?" Blissfully unaware that his bones were already cracked, Lyra would think her single punch did all that damage... for now.

Battered and bruised she managed to lift herself off the cement. One arm was wrapped around her torso just under her chest while she other was by her side, hand balled into a fist. The brookstick she once had was now gone.

Now that her mind was back on track- she suddenly remembered that she should be searching around for the REAL attacker... not this serial senshi mauler. Now in the back of her mind was the rage was talking... but even her whits told her this battle was too far in to stop now- he would keep going after her until she was pushing daisies 6 feet under.

Hissing in pain Lyra jumped back a few times- narrowly missing the assaults from the weapon. Just as she thought she could win this- her back touched against something- something cold. A...dead end? She was trapped against a building- the same building with the dent in the roof from earlier. She did not think the owner of this building was going to come home happy. She was not going down without a fight though. She lifted one of her legs and swung it around at her attacker.

PostPosted: Thu Feb 04, 2010 6:14 pm

He had stretched a bit too far on that last swing. Scheelite's rather abused ribs screamed at him for all the stress. He needed to go get help.

But that crazed part of his mind still had control, and even through the pain it forced a smirk on the agent's face as he stepped forward. She was cornered now, cornered and injured. Most would realize this led to a scenario much like a cornered animal.

Sadly, Scheelite just didn't have that much fighting experience.

The kick connected square with his side, and yeah, it hurt. It was excruciating really, and that one sane part of his mind was reminding him just how much that was going to -******** hurt- once the adrenaline rush was over.

Then the other side decided this was a perfect opportunity to end this, and even -through- the pain he grabbed the offending foot and gave it one swift twist. A twist far beyond that of normal range for an ankle.

"AUUUUUUGHHHHHHHhh" She screamed out in agony, a agony that was a combined effort from not only her ribs.. but now her freshly broken ankle. The only thing that was keeping her from falling over now was the wall, she applied more pressure against the wall to make up for having one good leg.

Her body felt on fire. It started on her face, where bruising was already starting to form along side her now clotting bloody nose. The pain continued into her torso, the epicenter of the pain. She could not see the damage but she could feel it. That should be enough to make her black out... if she were a normal civilian, then she would have been gone a long before now. Lastly the pain echoed through the newest wound. This was the one war wound she had the hardest time looking at- it was clear that the angle her foot now rested was not normal- they just did not bend that way.

Her vision started to fade in and out, little by little the world started to slow down. In the back of her head something screamed at her to not pass out- not yet. There was nothing else she could do. Throwing one final and (quite girly) punch- she slid to the ground with a light thunk. She was still conscious- but just barely holding on.
