It was around mid-morning when Maziwa'Kono had decided to go out for a wander. Bright red eyes dazzled in the morning glow of the sun, and the world was already warm. It had been a while since Ziwa had half-way abandoned the night, prefering to go to sleep as the sun was falling and rising when the moon hung high in the sky.
Despite the small musings, Ziwa kept foward, heading towards the lake that thrust into the pack lands. Upon reaching it's banks, she started around it's edge, going more towards the edges of the lands, then staying towards the central lands.
After all, what's in a day, when there is no adventure?

[ooc: sorry about the delay. I saw it yesterday but wasn't able to reply to it because I had work x.x]
Jabari footsteps were slower than they had been in the past few weeks. Was it because he knew that they had crossed an invisible boundary that separated the rogue lands from a pack territory? Was this the pack that he and Shu were aiming to join? Hopefully this was. He didn't want to be wandering into a lion's territory. Though he didn't detect any lion scents-only Wild Dog and a curious scent of Hyenas. He tilted his head to one side and finally stopped after a few more steps.
"Shu...I think we finally made it," he said, looking back to see if she was still behind him.

Shubanu was relaxed and happy to finally have made it to a pack border. She was nowhere near as nervous as her mate even though she never been near a pack before. She trotted along happily behind Jabari, looking at everything, trying to memorize the world that was so new to her and they hadn't actually reached the pack yet.
She looked forward when Jabari addressed her, "I'm very excited. We are together and we may finally join a pack. It is like we have been blessed byt the gods."
Shu trotted to catch up to Jabari and walk beside him.

Maziwa's nose twitched. Truthfully, she did enjoy adventure, but that didn't mean she wasn't a bit paranoid when it came to disturbances along the border. After all, there was a lot of perimeter and very little guards.
The orange female's ear flicked and relaxed, eyes still dazzling with the thought of an adventure.
No one would dare threaten her peaceful pack anyhow. Curious, however, Ziwa sought out the scents that entered the packlands. After all, there were just near her.

[ooc: sorry about the delay... again. i lost the link and then was busy with my temp. job until today]
Jabari smiled warmly at his new mate and he nudged her gently on her shoulder with his muzzle. They were finally in their new home. Hopefully they weren't turned away before they got accepted in the pack. He turned his attention to the area around them and saw something in the distance heading towards them. He stopped in his tracks and looked over at Shu. "It seems like our welcoming party is coming to greet us," he said to her, a little uncertain of the shape of the form heading towards them. It didn't look like the typical wild dog shape. He braced himself in case it wasn't a wild dog that would greet them in their soon-to-be new pack land.

Shubanu grinned enjoying the feeling of Jabari close to her. She greatly enjoyed moment like these, that were so peaceful and tender. She hoped for many more such moment, in the future.
She stopped when Jabari stopped and came closer to him putting her head on his back looking toward the stranger that approached them. She could feel Jabari brace himself and she gently nuzzled his back.
"Relax," she whispered, "You do not wish to appear tense and ready for a fight. We are not a threat to them and there's so please relax."
She moved around Jabari and moved toward the stranger with a happy gate, "Hello,' she called. "Could you tell us where we might be?"

The brightly-colored dog smiled as she came across two figured - of her species as far as she could tell, and she ventured closer. "Why, hello," Ziwa spoke. Her voice was notable of mixed emotions - curiousity, shyness, joy?
She gave a small smile, despite the many torrents of emotions. "You're just inside the Amani'Kikundi lands." Ziwa shifted lightly. She had welcomed others into the pack before. "What's your purpose here, if I might ask?"
Her curiosity was predominant among the torrent and she studied the two unobtrusively. They seemed kind enough, though the male looked ready for an attack. Truthfully, she didn't blame them. They came from the Outside, and she didn't know what happened in their past.
Ziwa kept an aloof smile on her face to appear non-threatening. No need to scare off potentially new members, after all.

Jabari looked over at his mate and nodded his head somberly. He didn't know what he had done until it was too late...or did he? Was it instinct to protect the one most precious to him? He shuddered slightly as the form came into view and he now recognized it as another of their kin.
Jabari felt a sudden rush of joy when the other female wild dog told them where they were. They had reached their new packlands. He wagged his tail happily as he glanced over at Shu before addressing to the other female why they were here. "We wish to become a part of your pack," he said, straining to keep the joy from his voice. He had to be serious about their proposal to join the pack.

Shu laughed lightly at how Jabari proposed that they join right away. He had not seen the pack nor did he know anything about it. She was highly amused by the love of her life, oh she loved him so much.
Shu smiled brightly at the approaching female, "That is to say we have been traveling for sometime. Since I became a adolescent to be precise. We been hoping to find a pack to call home. We would love to learn about your pack and see if maybe it is the right pack for us to make our home in."
Shu nuzzled mate lightly hoping not to have overstepped him in her explanation. She truly hoped that he did not mind, but Jabari was easy going so she highly doubted it.

Maziwa gave a small nod of her head - new members were exciting, and she has brought a few into the pack herself. She held back a small laugh at the male's proclamation and the rebuttal by his mate.
"Well, I'm sure I can answer any questions you have, and I can bring you to the Mkuu or Shiekh," She gave a small rocking motion on her white paws, before turning.
"Follow me. One of the leaders should be easy enough to find," She said in a small hum, moving forward, and trying to spot the distinct figures of the pack.

(ugh so short. sorry)
Jabari didn't deny that he was happy that Shu had explained their situation better than he had. He wondered if he had been too blunt with their offer to join the pack. He smiled warmly at his mate before following after Maziwa, wondering what the leaders of their soon-to-be pack would be like.

Shu smiled and headed off after the little female. It seemed that maybe their journey had come to an end. She thought to herself that it was truly non to soon and that she was extremely glad for it.
She looked up as she walked. "You said you could bring us the Mkuu or Shiekh. Are those your leaders?"
She looked to the young female for a second before trotting forward to walk beside her. She most certainly look friendly if she walked beside the young female. "i'm Shubanu, what is your name?"

Ziwa gave a small nod to the female's question. "Our Mkuu, Xx'ami-da, is the male leader, and Uzuri, the Shiekh, is the female leader. They founded this pack together," the brightly colored dog told the couple.
Maziwa gave a smile to the two-toned female. "Nice to meet you, Shubanu. I'm Maziwa'Kono, or just Ziwa," she gave a glance to the male wondering his name for a moment, hoping he would offer it without having asked.

Jabari hung back as the two females began to talk to each other. He didn't really want to intrude on their conversation. He figured that they would talk about anything females usually talked about. After all it had been ages since Shu had seen another female of their kind.
Jabari tilted his head and gazed at Ziwa as she looked back at him with an inquiring look on her face. "Jabari, miss Ziwa," he said, hopefully thinking that was what Ziwa was expecting from him.

Shubana smiled at Ziwa, "you have a lovely name", she said after Jabari introduced himself. Shu was very excited now where she had been slightly worried before. She had a secret she been keeping for a short time now and she was eager to tell.
She looked to Jabari smiling brightly, "It looks as though we may have found our home." She turned forward again nod to Ziwa to lead the way and deciding that be they accepted or not she would share her wonderful news with Jabari.
