Posting something that has no relevance to... anything.
Like say you made a thread about... uhh, I don't know, favourite movies and then all of a sudden I posted talking about sock puppets for no reason. Spamspam.
Also, it's a weird kind of mushy meat thing in a tin. o_O;

Spam ... originally a potted meat. Pretty nasty.
Apparently turned into a term meaning unwanted, unsolicited email from a skit by Monty Python, in which everyone in a restaurant kept getting served Spam even though they absolutely didn't want it.

Yes, that pretty much sums it up. A gelatinous mass of "meat" in a can. Does SPAM really stand for "spiced ham" when it comes to the meat product? I think I heard that once somewhere, but I can't remember where...
