Tsubame and Naim'Namir ((actual images as soon as i can XD)) Tsubame was out with her second to youngest cub, he seemed to need quite a bit of supervision since he got into everything and always ended up scratched and bruised. She lovingly called him her little tumble bug, never out loud though since she didn't want him to be teased by his friends.
Tsu had taken to motherhood quite well but she still felt odd around the cubs, like she was waiting for her love to dissipate as her mothers must have towards her. But so far it hasn't, in fact it seemed to get stronger as the days past and she watched as her brode (sp?) of eight, added to the five she was already watching, grew up. Spending time with them were her own secret pleasure. Naim'Namir was happy that he got to go out with his momma since normally he went out with one of his older siblings or with one of his other moms, occasionally he would be with his father. Today he danced a head of his mom, looking at everything. Bright eyed and bushy tailed as momma would say even if he didn't really understand it.
He climbed up a small rock to see how far he could look but it didn't seem to help any so he went to climb back down when his paws slipped. It wasn't a far drop but it still stung when he landed on his rump so he sat there for a moment until Tsubame hurried up to him to make sure he was ok. Already a 'male' he couldn't help but say, "Im K Momma." his young voice trying showing that Namir was trying to act like his father and big brothers.

Nywele had allowed Amani some time alone to visit with family and such while he tried to better map the lands in his mind. He had a very good aerial mapping but now he needed one by paw to match it. You would sometimes miss things from the air, like which of the dens belonged to what pad and the easiest places to drink from. Little details like that one could not see from the sky.
Nywele's ears flicked forwards as he heard some sort of commotion. He moved to round a corner spotting a cub and his mother. Nywele smiled, he couldn't wait till Amani and he had cubs, so every time he saw one it brought a smile to his face.
"Good morning...." Nywele looked lost for a moment he started to rack his brain for the proper greeting. "Banu or beybanu or...I'm still learning the greetings here." Nywele looked a little ashamed at not knowing how to properly greet the two.

Tsubame looked up when she heard someone approach and was shocked to see a large male with golden markings, a glorious mane, and wings! This had to be the new male she had heard about, something about saving the Sultan's son and taking his sister as his Banu. Some how her gossip had missed the fact that the new male was a god, it was the only way to explain the wings. When he greeted her and explained that he still hadn't figured out the formal greetings Tsu was about to reply when she got cut off.
Naim'Namirgot to his feet when the strange male approached him and Tsubame. He was fascinated by his large mane, it was even bigger then his fathers. When the male greeted them Namir didn't wait for his momma to speak up but said in his young voice, "This here is Momma and I'm Namir. Why do you have such a big mane?" He looked up at Tsubame and asked, "Momma is that why you say 'bright eyed and bushy tailed?"
Tsubame was mortified at the way her son was behaving. They had just gone over the proper greetings just a few days ago. "Niam'namir you know better then that," she scolded her son lightly. She nudged him with her paw and said sternly, "Now do it properly."
Namir looked embarrassed but smiled sheepishly up at the male as he stood quite properly and said in his best formal voice, "Good morning Pad. I am Pesar Niam'namir, Son to Pad Achal. This is my momma, Beybanu Tsubame." Once he finished his greeting he looked over his sholder at Tsu and asked "Did I do good Momma?"
Tsu couldn't help but smile and laugh lightly, "Yes dearest you did just fine."

The god burst into laughter from the the boys response. Spunky little one wasn't he and so very cute and silly. Nywele sat and ran a claw through his mane waiting while Namir said his greeting in the proper way.
"Ah Good Morning Pesar Niam'namir and Beybanu Tsubame. I do not believe I have met Pad Achal, yet I hope to soon though. As to your previous questions Namir, I'm a very very healthy lion and always did everything my mother and father told me so my main grew as a reflection of this so you do the same and I just bet your's shall be just as glorious." Nywele said with a laugh. "I am Pad Nywele the god of manes so this is something I know about." He said giving a sharp nod of his head. Of course this was just a joke, but good advice to take either way.

Tsubame was a little in awe of the god since she had never met one before this, or as far as she knew. There was a time when Tsu was recovering from the injury given to her by a green haired leopard, when the goddess of herb lore left a salve secretly for her to use to prevent a repeat of the wound getting infected. She was pleased with the advice Nywele gave her son and could only hope her son would follow it. It wasn't that Namir was a bad cub he just got into everything. "I'm sure you will meet my mate before long since he roames the lands nearly everyday."
Since Tsu rarely stuck to the formalities the few times she has run into others, which for her is odd since she use to be quite aloof and formalities would have provided a great barrier, she said with politeness "Oh it must be quite interesting to be a god."
Namir giggled a little at being called his full name, "Namir is what I go by since Naim'Namir usually means I'm in trouble." He smiled sheepishly since it seemed to happen more often then he liked.
"Oh so that means I can have cool danglely things in my mane someday too? But I have to do everything momma and poppa say?" He had completly missed the whole 'I'm a god' part. He walked up to Nywele and asked, "Are your markings like my Poppa or are they painted on? I heard that sometimes you can get things painted on your fur and I tried it with mud once but Momma made me wash it off."

"I hope so, I seem to mostly know the cubs of the pride." Nywele replied with another hearty laugh. "They tend to stalk me for some reason, curiosity I suppose." The god sat curling his tail around his paws.
"I suppose? I would not know any different. I've always been a god so I do not know what it is like to be mortal. So to me, being mortal would be interesting." Nywele's mind again drifted to the fact that he had not had or could not remember a cubhood.
"I do not see why not. In fact if your mother and father tell me you've been good. I well personally watch over the growth of your mane and have my familiar teach you to braid it and make things to tie in it." Nywele blinked a bit suddenly realizing that the cub had come closer with out him noticing. "These are my pure markings, not painted." The god intensified the glow of his golden markings. "What marking does your father have?"

Tsubame smiled at Nywele's stalking comment, "Well then I guess its good practice for later on in life." She chuckled slightly. She hoped that he wouldn't take offense to her joke but since it seemed to be quite laid back she really didn't expect for there to be any problems.
"You know I never thought of it that way. To me being a mortal is not all that special but I guess it would take no longer being something to really appreciate it." Tsu had a brief flash of her mother before forcing that memory away. She didn't appreciate her mother, she hated her for leaving. Tsu's mother was not relevant to that statement.
"Oh wow. Really? yay." Namir did a little childish dance at the prospect of growing up and having a mane like Nywele's. He stopped when he heard his momma laughing lightly at his antics. Namir smiled somewhat sheepishly and turned his attention back to Nywele, luckily he had not missed anything with his dance. When the god's gold markings flared little Namir gasped. "Oh. Thats pretty, I guess you can do that because you are a god?" The young cub was not as dense as he could sometimes seem but like all young creatures his mind did tend to jump around a lot. "Daddy's markings? Well he has mountains with white on top of them and clouds. His main is white like the clouds. A couple of my siblings have daddy's markings but I look more like momma."

"That it just might be." Nywele chuckled himself. "But a god or goddess is a hard thing to catch they best stick to prey or normal lioness. We tend to vanish easily." He grinned his childish side wanting to show them what he meant by that statement.
"Yes...I can not remember if I was ever a cub myself...." Nywele let that slip from his maw he had only ever told that to his beybanu, but it was so easy for him to talk to females openly. "I suppose that is why I am so childish a wish for either my forgotten or never lived cub hood." Nywele cracked a smile trying to hide that he was a little upset over this.
"Yes that is why I can do that. There are other things I can do too. Like fly, cast illusions and other such things all gods have such basic powers then more pertaining to their domain." The god tried to picture such a lion he had only ever really seen lions with normal markings before. "Sounds like your father's marking could make a god envious, but markings don't matter much to me...Its the lion inside that counts. And I think the lion inside you a one to envy indeed." Nywele gave Namir a proud look he liked to lift the egos of cubs for some reason. He thought sometimes the world gave young ones to many reasons to give up and not enough to fight for the things we want.

Tsubame smiled along with Nywele. She didn't quite get the whole 'vanish easily' part of his comments but she smiled anyway. Tsu didn't know that she had actually met a god before, or at least was helped by one, one that was using the illusion of not being there.
"Oh, how sad." Tsu found that little slip to be quite sad. To never know if he was a cub and got to do cub things was one of the worst things that could happen. "I guess it never hurts to live your cubhood over again especially if you dont remember it." Unlike the god Tsu didn't want to relive her cubhood, too many painfull memories.
Namir nodded like he understood what Nywele ment, both about sticking to easier pray and about his cubhood. To him the time to be a cub is full of games, lessons, and family and he could not understand how someone could not have a cubhood.
"Cool. So you can fly like a bird? Illusions like what you did with your markings? That's so neat." Namir had lots more questions he wanted to ask but didn't know how to ask them. Some he knew were kinda personal like what it was like being a god, others he just didn't know how to ask. He smiled when the god said that his father had special markings. "Its all about how the lion acts right?" He fidgeted slightly when Nywele complimented him, "I'm nothin' special." He was proud that this pad believed that he was a good lion, that was almost like saying that he would be a good pad someday. When that thought occurred he visibly calmed down and puffed out his chest and did his best to strike an adult pose which just looked silly on the small cub. "Momma did ya' hear? One day I'll be a good lion and a good Pad."
Tsubame just smiled and lightly taped her son on the head with her paw, "That is assured my young Pesar but you still have a long way to go."
"Awww Momma. I'm a big lion now." Namir looked back at his mother and saw the look that practicably screamed your in the presence of a pad. He looked down sheepishly again then back up and added playfully, "I guess I can just grow into a even bigger lion then if I'm a big lion now."
