Cave of Trials
After landing in a dog pile, you look around to see that you are in a cave, completely sealed in on all walls, excepting for a path that leads into the dark. There is no natural light at all, but there are torches on the wall, one on each side which illuminate the area. After a few seconds, you hear noise from above you as one of the Jounin you saw before comes sliding down the wall, almost casually, before making a perfect landing next to the group.
"Pleased to meet you all! The name's Inferno, and you guys are lucky enough to have me as your guide for this part of the exam!" Moving to a pouch behind his back, Inferno pulled out a scroll, holding it firmly in his hand as he held it in front of the group. "Your mission is to get this scroll from me, by whatever means necessary. Just be careful though, the harder you fight... the harder i fight back. Happy Hunting!" Without so much of a word more, Inferno dashed off into the darkness and disappeared from sight, leaving the group alone in the dust.

As Axel landed flat on his behind, he cursed as he saw the jounin sliding cassually. Stumbling onto his feet, he rubbed his back, taking a good look around the cavern. Besides the torches on the wall, he couldn't see anything among the pitch black of the cavern. He listened carefully to the words of the jounin, grinning within the darkness of his hood as he knew that no matter how far he ran, he would be able to catch him. Looking back at the team, he waited for Misuki to give him his orders. He was not going to act alone, that just gets you killed and who knows what the jounin was capable off.

A slight note for you Flurry, as you would have realized pretty quickly... you can't seem to sense anything outside of this room in terms of your normal chakra sensing ability. The second Inferno disappeared into the darkness, you lost all trace of him.

(... stare laaaame...so for this stage I can't use my chakra sensing ability at all?)
As he closed his eyes in order to track Inferno, his eyes burst open when he realized that he has lost all trace of him. "That son of a..." he cursed once more as he crossed his arms, slightly annoyed at the fact that despite his excellent tracking abilities, he couldn't sense one bit of Inferno's chakra.

 Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki landed a bit uncofortablely due to the sudden drop but said nothing about it as she got up. Watching the jounin slide down the wall casually Misuki was a bit envious and impressed. 'Man, I must look like an idiot compared to him, how was he able to slide down so casually anyways.?' Misuki listened as Inferno relayed his instructions and her mind began reeling as she though of the many different ways they could go about this. When she saw him dash towards the darkness, Misuki let instincts take over and allowed herself to use her highten sense of hearing to their full advantage. 'In a dark cavern such as this, knowing where the enemy is the first step to catching him.' Misuki was suddenly snapped out of her concentration when she heard Axel swore and turned to face him, "Hajime-san, what's wrong?"
{It might be wise for us to wait for our third member to post before we start doing anything. Since this is a team mission, it wouldn't be wise for the two of us to just start posting. I'll give my instructions after he posts. Is that alright with you?}

"I lost the target..." he stated simply as he didn't bother searching again. "You think you can use your sound abilities to find him? Cause I lost track of him completely," he told her.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki frowned a bit when she heard Axel mention that he lost track of the target. 'I wonder if there's some sort of special propertities surrounding this cave that makes it hard to sense chakra?' Misuki nodded at Axel's suggestion and closed her eyes so that she could focus on the sounds around her.
{So Cobra, can I hear him or not? I can't follow through with my posts until I get some sort of confermation from you. Thanks in advance.}

Axel waited for Misuki to finish, hoping that she could hear something, anything at all. This chuunin exam was starting to be more trouble than its worth.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninHaving heard nothing except for the sound of their own breathing and her tapping right hand, Misuki strained her ears harder to pick up on sound vibrations. After a few more seconds, Misuki frowned and released a deep sigh. Looking back up at the group, Misuki began discussing her ideas for thier next move. "Alright, it seems that we're out of luck, for some reason this cave is also stopping me from picking up on sound vibrations. It seems we'll most likely be going in this blindfolded, so before we rush into the cave I want to once more remind all of us that we're going up against a jounin level ninja here and that no matter what happens, stay on guard. We have no idea what that cave's gonna throw at us so I want to make sure that we're all 100% ready before we rush in."
Misuki gave a minute for her words to sink in before continuing her instructions, "For now, we'll try to follow him into the cave and hopefully we'll find some sort of lead along the way. We're already a few minutes behind so I suggest that we continue this as we run." As she said the last part, Misuki used her left hand to insert her earpieces into her ears before activating her sound device. She set the beat to something complex, yet moderately paced. After a quick scan at her teamates' condition, Misuki nodded to them and began running down the corridor Inferno took earlier. 'Something about his words still bother me, I feel that his words held a double meaning or some sort when he mentioned that the harder we fight the harder he'll fight back...'
{D*** it Cobra, you're too cruel...sorry about the language just didn't know any other way to express my surprise/disappointment/anguish...yeah...back to the exam.}

"Looks like I'm going to have to get serious about this..." Axel sighed as he unzipped his robe and removed his hood. His spiky red hair swayed against the roof of the hood as Axel removed his hood, his bright emerald eyes scanning the cave as Misuki began to run forward. Axel unsheathed his chakrams and then tied the robe around his waist. He now had maximum movements and with Chakrams in hand, he would be able to defend or cut through quite a bit. Axel dashed forward in a sprint and caught up to Misuki staying approximately 8 paces behind her.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninAfter running only a few feet from the luminated area, Misuki stopped and turned to face the group. 'Best I settle all this uneasiness first, there's too much to consider alone, I'll need their opinions.' "Guys, it seems that up ahead we'll be really dark so before we go on I like to get your input on something. Even though I'm team leader, everyone's options are still important so don't hold back if you have something to say. Alright, as I'm sure you can both see, it's still fairly dark up ahead so if we decided to not turn back and grab a source of light, we'll be fighting this blindly but at the same time, if we take a touch, we'll be exposing our location. So what do you think? I also like to hear your thoughts and feeling on this part of the exam. I myself am a bit curious as to the instuctions given to us. He purposely reminded us to be careful about how hard we fought since the harder we fight, the harder he'll fight back so don't you think there's some sort of hidden meaning within his words? Such as a secret message to not go all out but to find him and retrieve the scroll in a diplomatic way? Afterall, not all missions require fighting." Misuki stared at her teammates with a serious look on her face while waiting for their response.
{I just realized that we don't have a light source...stupid me... btw what times are you on? Unfortunately I have a swim instructor's course this weekend so I won't be on as much as I would like to be. I'll do my best to make it that my character will be in a position that won't affect the two of you.
Right now, its 5:42pm for me and I have swimming practice from 6:45-9:45pm.
Swim instructor's course:
Friday - 6pm-8pm
Sat. - 10am - 8pm
Sun. - 10am - 6pm}

(Practically all the time, and we're in the same time zone)
"Actually, we don't have to take a torch...I can just set my chakrams ablaze and use that as light, making me even more lethal if he attacks," he pointed out as he lifted up his hands, showing Misuki his weapons. "But I do admit, the fact that my mind's eye is closed, and you can't use your sound abilities puts us at a severe disadvantage," he sighed. He wasn't much of a tactician when it came to stuff like this, he could only be useful in battle really. "I say we head on in the darkness...and all you do is say the word, and they'll be light," he told her, since this pretty much solved the problem of the torch. It would be like a light switch, if they needed light, he'll turn it on.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki nodded and seeing no objections or comments coming from the other member Misuki sighed before making her final decision. She looked up and stared at the two of them, face filled with determination, before opening her mouth and relaying her instructions."It's decided then, we'll continue on in the dark that way, we might have a chance at catching him unguarded. For now I suggest the following line-up, Hajime-san at the front, me in the middle and Mugen-san in the back. I'm trusting that the two of you can help cover up our flanks and with me in the middle, I'll be able to support the both of you. If there are any other things you would like to mention or discuss, state it now before we take off again. Also remember that unless some sort of threat is shown, we are to approach this in a just, and calm manner. If we could avoid fighting then lets, since it would be in the groups best intrest if we do. Remember that being able to handle dipolmatic missions peacefully is also a skill." Moving to stand between Axel and Mugen, Misuki awaited their decisions to move forward or discuss thing further.
{Sounds great, I'll try to post as much as I can on the weekend. Now, if only the third member of our team would make his appearance...}
