What do you consider to be Clean?
I didn't think that I was a "neat freak" but I am definitely one of the cleanest people, along with Miss Chloie, out here!
How do I know this and what do I mean?
When the trash is full? We take it out.
Recyclables? We take them out.
Bathroom needs Sweeping? Done.
Something needs to be cleaned. Okay!
I mean serious, our roommates don't clean anything! They have trash piled up under their sink for Gods sake! x___X
I figure if it is dirty, clean it. If it's yours pick it up. I swear people are super lazy.

Perhaps (like me) they don't think about these things! I am by no means a neat person. Mostly because there are other things to do than clean. Like watch tv or internet or read. I don't ever actually think, "Gosh! I should clean the living room!" even though it's usually a disaster.
When I lived with other people I cleaned because someone would say, "Hey, can you take out the garbage?" or "We're gonna clean the apartment. Come help!" If asked, I was all over it, but I usually didn't think of it on my own. In fact...two of my room mates were all about cleaning and they were the ones who would prompt the rest of us to clean. Usually just by directing us to what our task was that time. Perhaps you should try that with your roomies? Just say, "Hey! We're gonna clean! Can you do A B C while I do D E F?" Most people a happy to help if they're told where to start. ^_^

Clean? If it doesn't have stains, has a minimal amount of odor, and there is an emergency/something important at the moment, it's clean enough until I have time wash it.

Sounds good to me! I suppose I wouldn't be so upset if they didn't lie about cleaning or proclaim themselves to be clean. @ Yama: Well yeah...One of the girls I lived with was like that. She was slovenly and a dirty ho. lol But lucky for us she had to move out because she needed surgery. Her retina was falling off. Probably because of all the booze she drank. (sorry. We were rather a snarky bunch lol)

Like Mugoi, most of the time I don't think, "Oh the kitchen is dirty I should clean it while I have free time." I usually do clean up after myself or the small area around me when I'm in a particular room for a moment or so. Like if I have to use the computer, I tidy up the papers on the computer desk, or pick up trash and put it in the bin of it missed by accident. One place that's an exception though is the bathroom. I freak out if it's dirty because I can't stand a dirty bathroom. I absolutely have to clean it.
You know, sometimes I think I'm a slob, then I go watch an episode of Clean House and I feel better about myself because I'm cleaner than half the people on the show. sweatdrop It's mean to think that way, but it's so true.

Honestly I'm incredibly lazy when it comes to cleaning my room, but I would clean a little bit of the rest of the house when I'm home alone. Right now, my room is clean, but the clothes are piling up...

I'm the kind of person that will randomly clean. Like if my make up looks all messy, I'll clean that.
The bathroom looking a little disgruntled? Yeah I don't mind wiping it down.
Hanging up my laundry? That can definitely wait...lol.
Out of all the chores I do, I HATE hanging up my laundry. I don't know why, it just seems like a horrible task to me. I know that once I start it won't be that bad, it's just the starting that's horrid.
I tend to also be the only one that really cleans in my house. My mom will start yelling at me and my brother to clean...I'll be the only one cleaning while my mom pretends to cook. I cleaned up the entire kitchen, dining room, and living room. I went upstairs for a couple hours, came back down and it looked exactly like it did before I cleaned. I gave up cleaning.
