wtf? i keep hearing she's a man or used to be a man. where's that coming from and is it true/false?
on another note, who likes her?
i kind of admire her bravery. i haven't really heard any of her music, but from what i have heard, she's pretty neat. sway me! [as in persuade me to see it your way.]
oh~ and what's her real name?

I heard she is a hermaphrodite.
I don't like her music, it's all pop-y.
She refers to herself as "it."
I don't know what her real name is.
Hay, take it or leave it, I'm clearly not persuading anything. =D
She's alright as a person, but I'm not into the music.

I absolutley LOVE her, she makes me feel like theres room in the world for people like me- for people that are different from everyone else. People that are called freaks. Everything she does has creative meaning to her somehow, and I love that.
But anyways, Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Gaga was a nickname her friends gave her, after the Queen song 'radio gaga'. It became more than a name to her, like someone she could escape to and be herself. She finds it wierd for people to call her "Lady Gaga", because it's so propper.
I found a quote about that "Every day, when Stef came to the studio, instead of saying hello, I would start singing "Radio Ga Ga". That was her entrance song. [Lady Gaga] was actually a glitch; I typed 'Radio Ga Ga' in a text and it did an autocorrect so somehow 'Radio' got changed to 'Lady'. She texted me back, "That's it." After that day, she was Lady Gaga. She’s like, "Don’t ever call me Stefani again." —Rob Fusari
I actually haven't heard that she used to be a man, but after seeing pictures of her as a child and stuff, that just can't be true. I have heard that shes a hermaphrodite, but idk, I don't think she is. It is hard to tell, but I'm not going to assume anything.

YESSS! 2 other fails! >3
i think she's one big desperate attention whore. and she is an absolute disgrace to Queen. ironic, actually. that's one of my favorite queen songs and when i found out what she [[or whatever]] was calling herself that i just thought, "Oh, god, what blasphemy!" since the song is all about the total crap thats on the radio. [[yeah, like her lousy sound that's all over the place]] but there will come a time when a band does the radio justice. MUSE I don't care what her story is. she has no talent whatsoever and has the need to compensate and distract from her lack thereof by dressing like a loon.

What? She has amazing talent, otherwise, why would Elton John have performed with her?
Seriously.
She is a bit of an attention whore, but then again, I am too. Gaga is over played, but thats because so many people like her. That happened to Green Day back in the day, and they're still amazing. She does do the radio justice- she is an amazingly talented, fearless, creative artist.
She doesn't dress like a loon, shes just different and unafraid to be herself. I honestly find that offensive to all artists out there. Including myself.

Aww, let's not fight.
Both points-of view are correct and incorrect because an opinion cannot be a fact.
=D
Yay.
I just can't get over the whole "If you like 'it,' then you shoud have pute a ring on 'it.'" People are not 'it's, yupyup!
Othar than that, I've no real preference because I'm not a big music person and all.
It does rather stink that good bands are played a lot because they're good, but then they become overrated because you hear them every two seconds.
I don't like her, but I will undoubtedly(sp) say that she is better than the Beasty Boys. *gag* Btw, no offense if you like them. =D They're too rap-y, and they're played on my rock radio station more often than I want them to be. That's why I say "Boo!" to dems.

I'm not fighting, I'm just hurt and very defensive. When theres someone or something, especially and artist, that I really like and find a connection to, I feel like an attack on them is an attack on me. That a dislike of them is a dislike of me. I know that's not true, I just feel that way. Boo has issues.
I agree, people need to stop overplaying good artists D;<
And why Beasty Boys on a rock station? That doesn't make sense! That reminds me of how on this hip-hop/rap/party station, they keep playing Taylor Swift and Miley Cirus gonk -gag-

i just got done watching a few lady gaga music videos.
dude, she's amazing. ^^ i've always kind of admired her outfits. she's so brave for wearing them and making "original" an understatement.
but i know what you mean, boo. i'm a little like that, too.
i'm not one for pop-y music much, but i've always had an open mind for music. i mean, hey, my mind's so open that i used to loathe country music, and now, i almost like taylor swift. o.o' well, her music's all right, but i certainly like her as a person.
anyway, as far as pop-y music goes, i've really only found interest in a seleect few songs of the genre. but lady gaga's music is very lovable. [: i want to get the cd from the library... [along with 'i am ghost']

i'm not fighting, just stating the obvious voicing my opinion.
elton john is a fail. (he performed with Eminem, too.) :/ Green Day " " " Beastie Boys " " "
Fine, she dresses like she doesn't know what a mirror is. Its not admirable, like Bjork. It's just....there's a frantic aspect to it.
I stand by my opinion. the radio has more bad than good, and it saddens me.
Talk s**t about The Cure if you want. [[shrugs]]I wonder if we will lose favor in each other's eyes.

haha people are get really angry over this lol but yeah so I heart Lady Gaga I think she is very original; very different then all the recent people who have been coming out lately. She is way cool, the way she dresses and is not afraid to be different. Even after you strip away all the cool clothes and she is just her, like barely any make up, she is so beautiful. Its not necessarily a traditional beauty but VERY wonderful biggrin
I was totally loving her music when it first came out and I still love it, even though it was TOTALLY RETARDED that her newest CD only had like 6 songs or something like that LOL annnnnd I highly doubt she is a man LOL I thought that rumor was funny
oh btw, thanks Boo for sharing her real name with us. I didn't know what is was before and I wanted to know biggrin

Quote: i'm not fighting, just stating the obvious voicing my opinion.
That was really quite rude. It's your opinion, not the truth, and you didn't need to say it that way. I've never seen you act this way before, and I'm honestly a bit angry about how you're acting like your opinion is superior to those who disagree. I'm honestly very hurt right now..
Don't say "Its not admirable, like Bjork.", because that's just your opinion, say it like it's your opinion, not fact. I thought you knew better than that- you're completly disregarding the fact that many people would say that Gaga is admirable and Bjork is not, just sort of frantic and ew. Which is what I think.
Abbie, yes, people do. I just get upset when people do not see true art, and state their opinions as fact. I completly agree with you ^^ And you're welcome.

ahhhhh, i like greenday. ;__;
honestly, a lot of lady gaga's outfits are a little ugly. but, she's confident in them and makes them "work". i say, thumbs up. the world could use more diverse people like her.
*i looked it up, and i watched this video, and she denied the hermaphrodite thing.

I don't get what you mean about superiority being a novelty. ive been a pretentious little b***h since day 1. What do you want me to do, begin every sentence with "In my opinion" so I don't sway the minds of the ambivalent? The opinion of the majority has never really mattered to me. They can hate on Bjork all they want, but at least she knows how to sing.Foot in mouth syndrome, anyone?

Still fightingness = Fail
And . . . I like Greenday too. =D
Okies, I suppose the gender stuff was just a rumor.
I'm sticking to not having much of an oppinion about her because I'm too tired to look up some vids to develop an opinion.
Originality is greatly loved, so go her for that!
I used to make original avies, and people said they were ugly, so I can relate to her XDD!
And I don't mean the garbage avies, btw. =o
