How on Earth they had managed it was anyone's guess. But, somehow, the Azoulais had reserved the entire skating rink; rink, arcade, snack bar, and all. By the door sat a box of goody bags, holding candies and small toys and tokens for the games. A small sign was posted: "One per person, please", hanging right above the box. The rack of rental skates and roller blades, which was usually locked, was wide open for free use. Darcy sat perched on one of the metal picnic tables, her feet lightly resting on the seat. She smoothed out the wrinkles of her white dress before turning to check on the box beside her. The box was huge, taking up the rest of the table. Inside were little mewling balls of floof and scales; chimera kittens. She reached into the box, petting one gently before glancing around again. They'd been here for a while, decorating the building and preparing everything. All that was left to do was wait. The snack bar / prize station was being run by Aaron, who was busy loading the popcorn machine. He already had the cotton candy machine going, hot dogs cooking, and various other delicious-but-oh-so-unhealthy foods prepared and ready to go. Hopefully, he wouldn't get stuck working the entire time. He really wanted to hit the arcade or perhaps go a couple laps around the rink. He readjusted his hat before going to straighten the candy and chip display. Jaella was having a blast as she zipped around the rink, her huge pink sweater fluttering as she spun around around, giggling. This was SO MUCH FUN! She was so going to try and get a pair of skates for home! She huggled the little black kitten she held in her arms, giggling and laughing as she flew across the rink.

R.J. had been surprised when she got the invitation in the mail. She had always had half expected to never to hear from the odd set of twins again, save for required interactions. Yet there they were as she stepped into the skating rink, each handling this and that. She was actually looking forward to this party, she was a darn good skater, what with how many gigs she had pulled in places like this, she sorta just picked it up. And she was looking forward to teaching Imani how to skate as well.
Imani, on the other hand, was not even thinking of skating when she looked around. There were so many things to do, and look, goodie bags! She wriggled her hand out of R.J.'s and bolted over and picked up one as the sign said plucked out one of the toys. It only held her interest for a moment before something else took it, the sound of mewing.
"Mama! There are kittens around here somewhere!" she chirped happily.

Ivy looked at the rink grimly as the assassin didn't even know how to roller skate very well, but she was at the party for her daughter and not herself. The holiday was one that she detested since she didn't like being in love with another.
Eve, however was looking around excitedly, smiling as she saw a lot of new things to do though the rink did scare the rag doll a little. The child had let her mother pick out a red dress with a white bow around the waist and little shoes and stockings to go with the dress. It was very cute, at least that's what her mother said and Eve never doubted her mother.
As her mother looked around, Eve went to get a goodie bag though she heard the sound of kittens somewhere. They were her favorite animal so far, but Eve pouted as her mother wouldn't let her keep a pet. Saying that she was too young and it would be too dangerous to have a pet with the life her mother led.

Tish had her hands full the moment she got to the skating rink. With two toddler girls to manage, it was bound to be a chaotic and stressful night. When her newest little girl, Luvenia, saw the goodie bags, she high-tailed it over to them and started grabbing them by the armful. "Suzie! Michelle! Richard! James!" Tish tried her best not to roll her eyes and gently tugged Miriam with her after the little chicken girl. "Luvvie; Luvvie, just pick one. Suzie OR Michelle OR Richard OR James."
The little blonde turned wide blue eyes on her new parent and stuck her lip out. "But - I want them ALL!"
"One, Luvvie. And you can pick out one for Miriam, too." While Tish was trying to deal with the excited blonde, the little masked girl slipped free from her mother's grasp and made her way over to Darcy and the big box she had. Her long, bird-faced mask was expressionless, but she squealed with excitement and practically dove to the box with a squeal of "KITTIES!"

Bailey was perhaps the only child involved so far that wanted nothing to do with the kittens. It was terrified of most animals, big or small, though from a distance they were perfectly adorable.
Decked out in a set of satin clothes with little bells on the ends the fae flew around at Lo's shoulder, holding it's lute posessively to it's chest. The elderly woman, however, was looking for a place to sit down. "God, if it ain't my back it's my arms." She grumbled, dropping Bailey's goodie bag into her purse. Seeing the hesitation on the young one's face, she gently patted it's butt and nodded to the teenager on the rink. "Isn't that the nice girl who gave you your hand pin?"
It reached up to touch the star and nodded.
"Well, don't be so backward and go say hi!" Holding her arm out, she took the lute from the hesitant child who flitted to the edge of the rink, playing with it's braid instead.

Howl loved Valentines Day. He loved everything about it. He loved the romance. He loved the giggling girls. He loved the passion, the love, the--why was he even celebrating Valentines Day? He didn't have a heart to love anyone with. He had tried to love without one, he really had. The girls simply didn't interest him. After a while, they got dull. Usually right around the time they declared love for him. He was wearing a red satin suit today; he had refused to wear the insulting color that was pink. Heart shaped silver buttons lined the suit in a fashionable way. It was a nice effect, with the black slacks beneath it. To top his ensemble off, he was wearing his signature sunny smile.
He picked up a goody bag and looked at it for a moment. Hm, interesting. Now if only there were girls his age. He hoped there would be; he didn't want to give out cards to only toddlers. There would be no point. He spotted Darcy first. He made his way towards her, purposely graceful. He gave her an elegant bow, before winking at her. "Beautiful as ever, Darcy," he greeted her. He ignored the mewing, and smiled at her. "I have a present for you," he told her, reaching into his left sleeve. He pulled out a long stemed red rose. "Happy Valentines Day."
Bowing again, he took a step back to notice Miriam. A smirk crossed his features. Huh, if he had to flirt with a toddler to get Sophie's attention, fine. Make her jealous, and she was certain to show up. Yes, some part of Howl was still quite devoted to his wife; not his heart, seeing as he lacked one entirely. Devotion quieted, he was tired of looking for Sophie. He would attract her attention in another fashion. He knelt down to Miriam's level and handed her a rose. "Happy Valentines," he said with a wink. Then he spotted Tish, and a genuine smile replaced the smirk he'd worn only a moment ago. He straightened, ever the prince of grace, and made his way over to the adult.
"Happy Valentines Tish," he said. "How are you?" he paused, and put his hand into his sleeve. "Here you go," he said, handing her a yellow rose. It was different, because yellow symbolized friendship. He spotted Luvvie, and gave her a smile as well. "Would you like a rose, too?" he asked. "Happy Valentines." With a bow, he quickly and elegantly knelt and handed the toddler a red rose. He caught sight of Ivy and Eve, but decided not to speak with them--the adult didn't look especially happy, and the infant--well. He wasn't so much of a cad that he flirted with infants.
He'd spotted Bailey as well, but fae seemed shyer than he remembered. She had been quite helpful with his search for Sophie, even if it had been unsuccessful. She was even prettier than he remembered. It was rather unfortunate that she wasn't his age.

Alome wasn't in the best of moods, this time around. There had just been a terrible encounter with Mela, Irae's guardian, and she threw him out of the house for a few 'days' because she was entertaining foreign 'guests', to see if perhaps one day they would buy the little vocaloid boy.
It was the first time ever that Alome snapped at anything, and she found herself even more irritated at the world. How day that crazy robot chick yell at HER for suggesting Irae stay with them! It wasn't the most.. Pleasent thing in the world, having her irritated, but what could you do?
Actually, it was pretty simple. Noel had given her a pair of roller skates, and off she went. She was going to skate around until she cooled off. Granted, she could not skate, so falling made it worse. However, she countered this setback by flapping her wings, keeping her balance for a while until she stumbled once more.
Irae, on the other hand was toddling around excitedly, very happy to be out of the house for the first time in weeks! And to go somewhere as fun as this!
He was a natural skater, not showing off, but just generally entertained by the fact that it was so much fun~
Soon enough, he was slowly skating around, falling more often than not, but that was expected. The music that played slowly filled his memory banks, and before he knew it, he was singing, shaking his little hips to the music~
Up down around and back, he danced around the ring, singing in his high pitched little voice.

Azrael wasn't entirely... pleased to be at the skating rink, but mother insisted he come with her to the event, mostly for recreational purposes. Pah, he knew it was so he could meet more kids his age and be friends with them than con them into getting cookies.
To make matters worse, she had taken away his pumpkin pen AND Aenira somehow managed to turn the ends of his hair red. No one was quite sure how, but it was certainly irritating. So here he was, in public, looking like a dork. His ego was guaranteed to lose a few points, that was for sure.
Azrael scowled a bit and grabbed one of the goody bags as he made his way over to where the kittens were, suddenly realizing just how many girls there were to guys. This was going to be interesting if the entire holiday was based on liking someone. Why couldn't it be Halloween where it was scaring and candy?
"Hi, I'm Azrael," he greeted to the girl who, like himself, had a bit of Halloween flair. Probably the strange bone mask she wore that gave him said idea...

Lamnishan snorted as she carried her daughter into the building. Cookie was a bit too young for most valentine's events and Cookie probably couldn't skate, but the tot was social and would love to meet other children and hang around relaxing. The pink haired tot was mewing happily and looking around at the other children, spotting several she already knew. And from what Lam could hear, there were also other kittens in the room. Oh joy.
Julie was excited as she and her two little sisters arrived at the event. They had been dropped off as their mother needed to work that day, their one brother had a cold and the other was watching him. The angellic imp was pleased by what she saw in the area, lotsa children her age and some she even knew and could introduce her sisters to! Clutching Pogo and Patton's hands, she began running towards the group. "IMANI! IMANI!" she called, spotting the masked tot. After all, while Howl may be a charming older boy, the masked girl was her best friend. Whether or not some boy was talking to her already (after all, best friends were more important than strange boys, right?)

Eve looked around, seeing all of the other children, it was clear that she was a bit younger than most of them. Such made her feel a little shy, but she didn't want to appear shy. No one would notice her and even attempt to talk or interact with her if she was too shy.
Feeling her mother watching her, Eve knew she could roam around as well as her mother could see her. After running over and falling a few times, Eve handed her goodie bag to her mother to hold while the little girl explored. It was clear her mother didn't like the holiday, but like Eve, her mother was looking at who was attending. Only Ivy was looking for adults to talk to while Eve tried to make friends.

Iggy didn't much care about being in love but he did like meeting people and had insisted his mother take him to the Valentines event. It was inside unlike last time had been and he was determined to get attention this time. So much so that the will o the wisp boy had forsaken his normal garb and donned a bright red hooded cape in favour of the season. He didn't have any red soul lights and putting food colouring on them had ended.. badly but Iggy supposed that was okay, they could be blue and green and he would be red and surely between the colours and the glowing someone would notice him.
Blaice thought Iggy looked sort of like a creepy little red riding hood but she'd been willing to get him the outfit due to his enthusiasm about going out during the day. Sure he was yawning and would probbaly want to go home in only an hour or so but it was an effort and that was progress. species issues or not Iggy did need to learn to be up during daylight hours when the occasion called for it.
Though the seraph became mildly concerned when they entered the building and she could here the sound of kittens mewling, what did kittens have to do with Valentines? Fortunately Iggy seemed more focused on picking out a bag from the box of them near the door.

Phillip wasn't entirely sure about this sort of thing but he had been invited and Nate was getting restless what with Morgan and Skylar back in school during the day and no one to play with while he worked. Thus the medium carried the small, skeletal boy into the building in hopes that if nothing else some social interaction would occur. Nate was far too small for most of the activities but Phillip would do he best to make sure the boy enjoyed himself.

Darcy smiled at little Miriam. "Would you like one?" she asked, lifting a little ball of fur from the box and holding it out to the little girl. Either she didn't think about asking the parents or she didn't care. More likely the latter of those. The orange haired girl looked up at Howl, smirking a moment. "As I see you are growing ever more handsome every day." she returned, accepting the rose with a dainty bat of her eyelids. Was she flirting?!? No, not really. This was just a game to her, and hopefully a way to get the lad to back off. She then looked up, looking at how many children had arrived. This was wonderful! Such a nice turnout.
Jaella noticed the little fairy, grinning as she rolled over. "Hey, Bailey!" she greeted, smiling brightly. "I'm so glad you could make it!" She hugged the little one, careful of the toddlers wings. "Wow, you've grown so much since I last saw you!" She looked back out at the rink, noticing the little vocaloid boy. "Hey Irae!" she called out to the little boy, waving to him.

Eve walked over, following the sound of the kittens. When she located the source of the sound, the little girl smiled shyly as she wondered why the kittens were in the box instead of outside of it. Her mother's words towards having a pet came back to Eve's mind, but Eve did want to pet one of the kittens at least.

Howl spotted Alome, but after seeing the expression on her face, decided not to talk to her. She reminded him too much of Sophie at the moment. Frightening; he was too much of a coward to offer her a rose when she was in such a mood. He saw Julie out of the corner of his eye, but she seemed busy with a friend. He didn't want to interupt, polite as he was. He saw a woman with an infant he didn't know, but he never paid infants much attention. They always reminded him of Morgan.
He paused, and turned back towards Darcy. He stared at her for a moment, wide blue eyes and a rather shocked expression. He'd never had anyone flirt back! With a not so graceful recovery, he nodded, and gave her a smile. "Of course," he said with a wink. "But your beauty is unmatchable by even the stars. No light can match your brilliance. You are the fantastic in fantasy. Unfortunately, my heart already belongs to someone else," He meant his fire demon; Calcifer certainly did have a claim to it. Literally, anyway. "Maybe when he returns it, we can continue," he winked. Flirting certainly wasn't the way to get rid of this wizard. A smirk crossed his features, before giving her another elegantly bow, straightening gracefully. It was strange how his hair always seemed to be in place; no matter how he moved. Had he enchanted it so it wouldn't mess up during the party, or was it always like this?
He then politely turned his attention back to Tish, and waited for her reply.

Imani was greeted by the pumpkin demon first, so of course it was where her attention was first drawn. She grinned and waved at the new fellow. "Hiya! 'm Imani! Nice'a meetcha!" she chirped before hearing her name being called. She knew who it was instantly.
"Julie!" she said with a wave. "Lookie! They have neat bags fulla candy and stuff for us!" She then, to be nice, turned her attention back to Azrael.
"You know how to skate Az?" she asked in an attempt to make conversation.
