She wasn't sure exactly how long her and Xanthus had been friends, but it seemed they had been friends they're whole lifes, Azu thought to herself as she looked down at the small cub between her paws, a female mirror of the lion in thought. "So you finally got the deed done eh?" she teased the large male in front of her lounging in the shade, the heat not the best friend of those ebony coated.

"Such a romantic Zu-zu.." He replied with a lazy flick of his tail before he grinned at her, his other daughter nuzzled against his side and fast asleep. He'd found Azu when she had been naught but a cub trying to catch a rodent to fill her belly, and she had been failing at that. He'd helped her learn to hunt and defend herself til she was no longer in need of him.

" Well Rami Ram, how old are you now? And these are you first set of cubs?" She teased him, laughing at the growl that echoed out at her teasing ply at his name. "I know lions half my age with a whole bundle of little ones and youve amazingly managed to only have these two..Its really..."
"Impressive." He cut in with a smirk.

"Sad.." She finished before she shook her head, before looking down at the cub who was now completely zonked out on her paw, she smiled and a longing began to eat away at her again, she quickly silenced it. "Really sad..Oaf!" She fell over as a large paw shoved at her face, she was careful not to wake the sleeping cub as she dramaticly flailed to her side.
"Thats why! Your such a brute!" She called out at him before she laughed. "Its been to long my friend.."

His head nodded, his golden mane sparkling in the faint streams of slightly that danced through the branches and leaves of the tree above, "Aye its been to long indeed." He said with a content sigh. "How have the gods been treating you?" He asked with an arched brow, he knew of her self loathing curse, the one he held no light to as he thought it was complete rubbish.

"The same really..Though I met this guy.." She lowered her muzzle and picked up the sleeping cub by the scruff and laid her next to her sister before she swatted Xanthus in the face with her tail. "No, were not talking about him either. I dont want to jinx anything."

He lifted a paw, "Alright alright..I wont poke into your love life." He offered, "As long as we don't poke into mine." He said with a grin, he seemed to have the most awful luck when it came to love, the first love of his life was raped and left him completely, nothing he had done or did seemed to make her want to move forward with life, and in the end he had lost her completely. And then there was his daughters mother, and she was taken by another male and a demon at that, he simply didnt have a cruel or demonic bone in his body so there went that.

Azu shook her head, she pitied her friend, out of everyone she wished love her, he held the most wishes from her, she wished him all the happiness but looking at him now, grinning at his daughters as they slept, she wondered if her wishes for him hadn't came true already. So maybe he didnt need to be pitied.

"I can't believe you have cubs.." She shook her head with a smile, "They're beautiful..and she really takes after you. Your mother must be proud.." She said with a nod of her head, "Wait...Xanthus have you seen your mother yet?!" She cocked her head to the side.

"What does that have to do anything?" Xanthus asked, dodging the question before her stare ate away at him. "No..I havent. Though I do hope she would be proud." He exclaimed with a sigh, he missed his family deep down, he truly did. "Have YOU seen your mother?" he shot back at her, only to regret it instantly.

Her demenor changed instantly, she went stiff, her ears plastered against her skull as her tail coiled around her back leg tightly. "Your an a**." She whispered harshly.
"Zu-Zu..Im sorry..you know I--" He was cut off by a wave of a clawed paw in his face.
"Yeah..yeah..I know. You were just being a d**k." She huffed a him before she relaxed once more. "We both know I'll never see her again.." She licked her muzzle as she tried to remember what her mothers face even looked like, and was reminded quickly why she didnt do that, the image of her mother was still strong as ever, but now it hurt less than it had when she was a cub.

"Thats a good thing..Because I'd like to keep my record of attacking a female at its current number of...Zero." He'd rose to his paws while she'd been off in her own land, pulling her close for a comforting nuzzle, he smiled at her. "We're your family Zu-zu and you know it." He said and smiled at her.

"Thats true.." She smiled at him, when she had none, she still had him, and now his girls too. She smiled even more now, "..Cause you are OLD enough to be my father." She flung the tease at him.

He snorted at her, shoving her away from him with a scowl. "Your a goof.." He said with a shake of his head before he found himself curling around his daughters once more, keeping them warm and safe.
"She isnt worthy of you..I hope you know this." He said in his usual deep, almost regal tone of serious. "And it was a blessing you got away from her."

She rose to her paws and knocked her head against his with a purr, "Yeah..I know. Thanks to you I know my worth." she said with a smile, she licked his cheek. "Stay golden.." She said as she turned away from him.
"I'll come find you again..Hopefully the gods will have smiled on me the next time I see you." she said with a grin.
