
Dimitri snorted and struggled furiously; how in the world had he gotten into this mess!? The moon shone above, shedding bright relief over the forest floor, setting everything aglow. The black stallion pulled himself forward, one leg lagging behind as he tried to free himself from a deer trap. "This is absolutely preposterous! I haven't gotten stuck in one of these contraptions in ages!" Dimitri grumbled to himself as he looked around, trying to find a way to free himself from the tight grasp of the rope around his hind leg. He need a stick or something of the sort to slip between the twine and his body so that he could loosen it and slip the darn thing off.
Grumbling again, Dimitri moved in a wide arc, trying to find a branch that looked sturdy enough to be able to help him out. With a sigh he mumbled, "Well, at least no one is here to see me like this..."
