Mahon slinked into the shade. The sun had a tendancy of heating her dark fur to an unbearable level. Night time was better. She felt that the moon had a gentle and loving glow. It was cool on her back and it's dark shadow hid her from her prey.
She'd gladly wait in comfort beneath this tree until the moon showed it's face.
Chobi:
It had been a good week for the blue con artist. He'd gotten , er stolen, the pendant he had wanted from some tribe. Something about it being sacred or something? Yeah he didn't care. It was his. He'd also been able to convince a few females along the way to sleep with him. Talked his way into a share of meat as well.
Yeah by far it was a better week then it usual. Take what you want and it doesnt matter how you get it, was Yuan's motto after all.
Boy did he take.
The pendant clanked with a few other items he had collected over time that were wrapped around his neck. It was heavy but he could manage. He needed to get these things back to his pride any way so he could barter with the king and queen.

It was the clinking of the collection that hung about his neck that allerted Mahon. Raising her head slowly she turned to glare in the direction the noise came from.
Hell. Wasn't that always the way. Just when she thought she'd found a good place to rest some looser would come along and bother her.
She pulled herself to her feet and slicked around to the far side of the tree. If there was going to be trouble at least she'd be the one to start it.
Chobi:
Something caught the conmans eye. A female lion? Taking a rest in the shade? Wasn't a strange sight. What was strange were her scars. He could see them from where he was. This was a female who meant business.
A challenge? Oh bring it on!
Yuan slowly made his way over to her, making sure to keep a good safe distance.
"Hotdayehlassy." He spoke fast with a laced accent. Almost irish sounding.

She nodded, slowly, not taking her eyes off him for a second.
"That it is," her own accent sounded foreign. Something ancient and out of place in this world. It was slight though, only the most sensitive of ears would have noticed it.
"What oddities you have to weigh you down."
Chobi:
"Weigh me down..?" He said each word carefully. She was observant of his treasures that hung around his neck.
"Theywon'tbethereforlong," He mumbled, "They'reforbartar. Got a deal you want to strike mmmm?" He eyed her scars.

"I can't afford to carry worthless bobbles on my back," she scoffed. "I already carry all the vanities I need... What on earth would you suggest I have to barter for anyhow?"
She could think of a few answers off the top of her head that would result in him laying in a pool of his own blood.
Chobi:
The male grinned, "So you aren't and are interested," The fact that she told him she had nothing to barter with led him to believe that she probably was infact interested.
There was a glint in his eye, this male was not one to be underestimated. He was small and shabby looking but Yuan was a fighter.

Her head had been tilted slightly but now it snapped upright. Bowing it ever so slightly smiled in such a way that her teeth showed a clear threat.
Maybe she wasn't the smartest creature, but she was large as far as a lioness goes, and bulky. She wasn't a fast creature, but one blow was often all she needed.
"Keen on bartering,hm? I have a trade for you. Leave and I'll let you keep your hide."
Chobi:
If this had been a normal lion and not Yuan, he'd have left. But the fact was, this was Yuan. Brave or stupid, some might debate. Yuan was just him self and god help us all.
"I haven't done anything now have I?" His smile was as real as it would ever get with him, "Suchcruelwords." He wasn't about to leave just because she wanted him gone. He was gonna stay, what fun would leaving be?
"So, why so gloom. Whats with all your scars?"

"They are the trappings of a warrior," she growled. "Honerable tattoos earned on the battlefeild and carried proudly as a badge of honor before other warriors and a warning to those who might challenge you."
Her stance suggested nothing less then that she meant buissness.
Chobi:
Yuan whistled, "Nice," He tilted his head at her and inspected said 'tattoos.'
"But you have no right to get on to me for my barter if you're carrying around such lougage your self," His voice was crisp and well spoken, his accent still lacing here and there. "I can see you're a fighter. You can see I'm a conman. Whats there to hide now?" He grinned at her.

A conman? What was he talking about? Her ear twiched. What ever he was he was getting on her nerves. If he opened his mouth again she'd quite happily maul him and leave him out in the hot sun to cook while he waited for the vultures.
If she was patient enough maybe she'd have a vulture for dinner.
She stepped to the side, paceing around him.
Chobi:
"You'reabiggirl," He mused watching her pace around him. He watched her muscles work under her skin, she was a warrior and she wasn't happy about him being here.
Yuan could care less, she was fun to poke at.

She huffed and flexed her muscles, moving in such a way as to showcase her brute strength. As she watched him though, her determination faltered. Sure he was a nusance and a pest but was he really worth the effort?
What would she gain by leaving him to rot? Inwardly, she sighed. No. Better to give him scare him and let him run. It took far less effort.
Chobi:
Yuan raised a brow. He wasnt going to get anything but a beating if he stayed any longer. The male decided it was high time to leave, and so he did.
The female had scared him off.
