As the name states, this is where we can enter discussions of how we can improve our brethren, as well as off topic discussions of daily life and the such.

I would like to see some threads and "locations" to start roleplaying in. Ideas could be... slums and aristocracy, secret covens, clocktowers, waterways, a marketplace, filthy alleyways as well as churches and manors and more romanticized settings. The Nobles and all above ranks I imagine would have much more lavish dwellings, where lower ranks could not venture except upon invitation. Could I set up such a thread? Perhaps a general Slums thread? All in the context of the Venice setting of course.
It might also help if there is a thread where we can post our character profiles. Nothing long or elaborate necessarily, just basic info and stats.
Also, I was wondering about the "rules" to being a vampire. Do you spread vampirism with simply a bite? Or do you need to have the intent to turn them somehow? What about sunlight?

I think profiles would be a good idea to get going soon, that way we get info on everyone. Our race alone allows us lots of abilities already, so maybe a template like..
Name: Age: Personality: Appearance: Rank: Specialty(or Ability[ies]) *depending on what's decided and allowed*: History:
That's open for discussion of course.. But, once that thread is up, I think we should add in the locations for roleplay. I happen to like all the ones Flucas listed above, lots of locations are always fun.
And for the bite stuff.. I, personally, think we would need to have the intent to turn them and the consent from whom we're wanting to turn. That way we don't go around converting everyone who doesn't want to be a Vampire, lol. I'm sure if Cross doesn't have any plans for your questions, we can all brainstorm together.

Good to see people finally posting <3 Anywho, I consulted with Wolf before taking over, and he himself said that in our own sub-forums, we have the authority to post whatever we like. If you fellows think it's for the good of our clan, then go ahead and post as you see fit ^^

Hmm, locations wouldn't be hard to come up with, being that we're using actual Italy xD I would imagine nobles would have castles and the such. As for the profiles, that would help as well. I was thinking of an ability that only one vamp can have, to make each of us unique, you know? o: as for the sunlight...yeah, vampires like us aren't going to be affected by it... And we're not going to sparkle either, so don't make that joke xD And well, if you can come up with a creative way to spread vampirism, we can make it our way of it. Sounds good?

You template sounds excellent Aylin. That covers pretty much everything I can think of. Though I think personality should be an optional one. I have such a hard time describing a personality and then sticking to it, it's just easier to develop it through the roleplay. But that's just me.
And I also like Cross's idea about a special ability. It wouldn't have to be where no one else could have it, but each vampire has their own unique strengths. And it might be fun to develop these strengths over time, depending on your rank.
I'm with Aylin on the biting rules. That way I won't have to kill everyone I feed on for fear of creating hoards of new vampires, haha. Perhaps the ability to convert someone should be reserved for high ranks? Or perhaps we would need to allow our victim to drink our own blood as well in order to complete the transformation?
And I'm going to go ahead and create a Slums thread to get things started, if that's ok with you two. We can add more locations as we go.

And I can do something like this with the template. And titles for various locations and such.
I also have an idea for the ranks where I can make up little symbols for them. That way when rankings go up, they'll look decorative and pretty. Of course, I'll show many examples where we can all decide what would be best, that way everyone can like them.
I can edit things pretty quickly, so just let me know specifics for the above thing. And whether we want it or not of course ^^;;. I don't really mind. The link I gave is something I threw together pretty quickly, so I'll probably go through it again and smooth some things out.
Flucas, I think your idea for higher ranks being able to convert others is a good idea. That, plus your idea that followed would make for fun RP when we get new members that would want to go through that process.

Oh that template looks beautiful! That reminds me I had intentions of creating some little ID cards for the entire guild. (But someone had been deleting my posts.) Though I like yours, it's more formal than mine would have been. I had been thinking along the lines of little cards that could fit in signatures. Maybe we could make them both work, or I would be willing to work together on it.
I like the ideas of symbols for each rank. I can see that fitting perfectly on an ID card, if we were to make both. A line of subsequent symbols, ordered in terms of rank, with the appropriate one kind of glowy. We could look around deviantart for Photoshop brushes that might make good symbols.
But enough about my ideas. I really like what you put together. And especially the word "Archives", that was a great choice. That old archaic look. They will look awesome all lined up together, like a recorded history of our ancient bloodline.

Thanks~! ^///^ Glad you like it. Lol, archives was the best word I can think of to fit us vampires. I'd be so down to work on rank symbols and graphic stuff together! I found a brush set that had about 50 symbols that fell under the vampire category with what I assume to be different covens from books and such. It was called Vampire the Requiem, then I got another one called Vampire Ankh.. which is what I used to make the template graphic.
What I made was basically just meant to stay in our Subforum and for people to read up on more elaborate stuff, if people choose to be elaborate. (You'll see what I mean better if it's alright that I post up a thread to throw all the profiles in.) So I think it would be a good idea to continue on with your ID cards.
And for the ranking symbols.. we can come up with a design together ^^ I have Elements 6.. which I don't think has a very good animating feature because I've tried, lol, and I couldn't make anything pretty. But, I can always look for tutorials and stuff to see if I can. That way I can help with the *possible* animation part... Lol, the only thing I can do animation wise is what the blinking banner does for this Guild xD

What about something like this for the join thread? Which we should add soon too, lol. We can put more around it since it's kinda plain, but I thought just 'Bitten' would suit nicely.

That sounds best, we will each do our own versions of the ID cards and profiles. I'm excited to get started! The Requiem brushes that you found are awesome. There are so many good symbols, I don't think we'll need to look elsewhere. These were some of my favorites of the Requiem brushes: Link~. There are six ranks of vampire. My own idea would be something like: 10, 6, 7, anhk, 3, 1 because they all incorporate that ankh shape. But really I don't have much preference, I will go with whatever you like. =) Your template looks excellent in the context of the thread you made. I can't wait to see it brimming with the accounts of our vampire brethren. x) Hopefully I will be able to post my own account up there soon..once I manage figure out a personality and a past for my character. I'm so bad at that part, gah! There will be a join thread aside from the profiles thread? That's a good idea. Your banner looks great, the bite marks were a wonderful touch. My only suggest would be to scale it down a little to make it a bit smaller. But it's not that big of an issue. As for animations, I could help with that. I've done simple animations with ImageReady. What part were you thinking of animating? Wow looong post Dx

Yeah, the Requiem brushes may be some of the best we can get anyways. Most of what came up in my search was blood spatter patterns anyways, lol. I do like the ankhs you picked out, especially 6 and 7. There's also one similar to them, it's just a leaf. I threw together a rough draft rank symbol thing. They're all the brushes you picked with the exception of the leeches.
[x]
Leech: I picked the hand because they're still human and the design in it kind of looks like the bottom of an actual leech (I think, lol never seen one before). We can throw them around in any order.. I pretty much just guessed because I wasn't sure, heh.
For the 'bitten' title, I'm not sure what else to put around it right now.. I found the font and was like hey.. that's pretty! lol. If you got any ideas though, for sure go ahead and play around with it.
And as for the animating.. I think we can decide when it's all finished.. what would look good animated and how. Maybe the rank symbols?

Sorry I haven't replied here in so long. I've been caught up in school work this weekend. I still have intentions of making ID cards for the entire guild, but it's going to have to wait. I've been rather short of time as of late. I would still love to help come up with ideas and organize role plays, I just don't know when I will be able to sit down and play with the designs of an ID card.
I like the ankhs you picked out even more than my original ideas. Let's go with those, just in that order. The handprint for the leech was a creative idea.
