Today the vixen sat outside in the flower garden as she helped out with some of the other household residents to de-weed the gardens to allow the spring shoots to grow. It was the first time she'd worn something not from her heritage, as the other resident female had convinced her this yellow sundress with white lace would be just darling. As much as Koyuki had her differences with the large feline vixen, she wasn't about to argue.
"Koyuki darling! Are you close to done?" Corosina purred out, currently perched in one of the apple trees as she pulled off dead branches from the winter.
"Almost!" The vixen called back and pulled out another weed before standing up and brushing the dirt from her knees; luckily her dress was short enough that it sat just above her now brown knees. "I think that's all on this side, you'd have to see with Trovalius and Drake how the back is doing." It was certainly strange with the two new residents that had moved in a few days ago; and since she'd been so body trying to help out with the chef and Briareos away she'd had no time to go visit Jerome. As much as she missed the big lug, she knew she had responsibilities here that kept her from leaving.

No, he didn't expect her to applaud him for being muscle bound and strong, but it was mostly for the fact that along with the warm weather coming in, so did the sudden rabidness of his former foes, the Elites. Granted yes, their "leader" was docile, but the rest weren't.
It was this very thought that kept Jerome in his top shape as he didn't want to get into a fight with these brutes and loose. Or worse, have on attack the very one he loved, and not be able to defend her. All the same, he had a lack of seeing her and he prayed with every passing thought that she was safe and sound.
Although the day was half way through, Jerome had completed his daily routine and now he stood on the tall hill and overlooked the land, wondering if he should journey to the house which he could faintly see in the distance

"Oh I don't really care what is done flower wise....I'd rather go see those Adonis bodies in action..." Corosina purred as she licked her lips, sprawling over the branch as if she was a Cheshire cat. Flicking her long thick tail this way and that, she rolled off the branch and landed on her paws, rising once more to a standing position. "Come on Ko, lets go watch, maybe touch a bit" She made some grabby hands with her paws and let out a sultry little mrowl at the mere thought.
"Corosina, you're horrible!" Koyuki placed her paws on her hips and huffed, shaking her head as she placed the weeds she'd removed in a basket for mulching. "Besides, Trovalius thinks you're just downright crazy and Drake well....he's after other game."
"Mmmm, a pretty little thing like you, right Ko?" Corosina smirked wildly much to the dismay of Koyuki.
"All unwanted attention, I assure you." The vixen insisted, seeing she'd put a quick damper on any attempts Drake had tried on her.
"Oh yes...that's right. You have some demi god of a boyfriend I hear, yes? Spartan?" The older and larger female licked her lips out of habit, already feeling her skin tingle at the sounds of such a strong warrior type. What the tiger demon wouldn't give to sink her claws into one of them...
"Ah....well...yes?" The lithe vixen blushed faintly, picking up the basket of weeds.
".....so how's he in bed?" Corosina purred in her ear having snuck up on the poor girl as Koyuki jumped and turned a deep red. "Corosina!!!!!!!" She yelled, grabbing the weeds from the basket and hurling them at the tiger demon as she pranced around avoiding ever one from the flustered vixen.
"Oh come on! what are girlfriends for if not to share the juicy details!" The feline laughed merrily, enjoying her daily torment of the more 'innocent' vixen.

The Spartan sighed as he had given up waiting around and doing nothing. Even though it was a long distance, Jerome was capable of making the feat that would normally take a few hours, take but 20 minutes. "What's the worse that could happen?" he asked himself, completely oblivious to the new goings on around Koyuki's house hold.
He trekked down the hill and noticed almost immediately he was being followed by a very unpleasant and nasty Elite that was out for Spartan blood. Granted it may have been young and small, but Jerome had encountered the little guy before and the ending result were new scars on his face and arms along with difficult to sew holes in his under armor. Jerome shuddered at the thought of the crazy Elite catching his sorry rear again, so he began to take off running, knowing that the little b*****d would rather wait and ambush him than chase him down.
He sprinted for a as long as he could before toning it down to a brisk run. He knew it wouldn't have been much longer before he passed through a thicket and into a clearing, where the odd house hold sat.
When he did pass through said clearing, he was bewildered to see Koyuki, not only dressed differently, but also throwing a basket of weeds at another..fox. Or was it a cat. He didn't know, instead he just stood from where he had entered and watched as his beloved stormed off, leaving the other to call after

"Koyuki!" Corosina called watching as the vixen rounded the house out of sight of the house, completely unaware her love was around...but Corosina knew. Ears perking as she could smell his scent ever since he emerged out from the forest, the femme turned around and smirked to the Spartan.
Well Well Koyuki...they weren't kidding when they said you have a prized catch. The feline vixen thought to herself as she sauntered her way over to the spartan, her tail swaying slowly as her long white locks flowed a little as she walked. It was all for the perfect effect, all for her game.
"Well...You must be Jerome. Its a pleasure...I am Corosina..." The vixen purred, tilting her head a little to the side. "what brings you over to this neck of the woods my dear, other than the obvious..." Of course she'd meant Koyuki, yet she wanted to see how much the Spartan would indulge her.

"How dare she!" Koyuki fumed, storming out into the forests edge behind the house to get away from her all but crazy housemates. As much as she wanted to be responsible and give back for all she'd been giving she'd been getting so very tired having Drake constantly hit on her morning, noon and night. Corosina and her sexual nature was no better, and in a way she felt a bit childish for not really wanting to hear anything about it.
She was happy, why ruin that?
Sitting down on a stump fairly close to the house near one of the streams; her favorite spot, the vixen hung her head in her paws and sighed deeply.
Koyuki knew she was falling hard for Jerome, there was no denying that much...each day apart was more agonizing than the last. Sooner or later there would be an important path to take, and one to leave behind...yet it seemed everyone was rushing her down a path she just needed time with.
The woods were quiet though that day, and already she felt more at peace than she had back at the house with the frisky feline.

Jerome scanned over the female that approached him. He found her fairly attractive, but he could quickly tell she wasn't his type. He groaned a bit as soon as he realized his hunch was right. "Well I think you already know, so I'd like very much if you'd flirt with someone else" he said with a slightly stern look on his face. He really wanted to know why Koyuki had decided to act out of violence and storm off. That wasn't like her. Was something wrong?
He tried to get around the feline fox to the best of his ability without being rude, but he could easily tell that she was more interested in his body rather than what he really wanted. Frustrated he gently pushed her aside, which to him was gently, but for her was more of a shove. "Look I don't have time for this. Maybe if you wait long enough there will be an Elite you can appease" he said with a grimace creeping on his face. He left her behind to go and seek where his loved one had run off to, which didn't take to long. As soon as he spotted her, he immediately spoke out. No point in being sneaky now.
"Koyuki? What on earth is wrong. Have you been harmed by that over zealous fox?" he said as he carefully approached her whilst she sat on her stump

Needless to say, Koyuki was better off not knowing the fit Corosina was currently having by being completely and utterly brushed off by Jerome.
Looking up with a bit of a startle as he'd spoken she stood and whirled around to spot the familiar face which always sent her heart fluttering. "Jerome..." A bright smile rose on her gloomy face as genuine as could be. Yet as he spoke she found herself playing with the hem of her dress nervously...had he heard? How much?
"Not exactly....she's just....well....a bit overwhelming. Her and the other new resident." Lord she didn't even want to talk about Drake right now, thankfully he was being supervised by Trovalius. "I suppose....I should ignore what she says but its harder than it sounds to do." A sheepish smile rose on her lips as her hands stopped playing with the lace and folded on her dress infront of her.
"How have you been though! It's been too long....I've.....missed you." True, not seeing him these past few days had killed her since they'd been so inseparable the past few weeks. Often she'd wondered if it would be wise to sneak out over there, but something always seemed to stop her be it a chore or a need of someone in the house.

Jerome had a bit of a concerned look on his face all the while he heard Koyuki speak. It was strange to him, because normally he could never peg what was wrong with anyone, but now he had little to no trouble snuffing out problems. I've noticed your...'friend'" he said trying not snarl to much at the thought of Corosina, "...was rather...open shall we say. What is it that has you all upset?" he asked as he finally managed to make it over and sit in front of her on the grass, for once being able to look directly at her eyes without looking down.
"I've been fine, but I will admit, battling elites and training is not as much fun with out seeing you and knowing you're safe" he said with a small sincere smile curl onto his face. He tenderly took on of her paws and gently kissed it hoping it would make her feel a bit better about his sudden presence.

Opening her mouth to speak, the vixen found that no words would come out...the look on his face spoke volumes to her. As much as the time they spent together became almost norm, she couldn't get over the little things it seemed....a tender smile, the sweet gesture of holding her hand....and of course that concerned look that made her feel like the only fox in his world. Immediately Koyuki's lips curled into a smile, only to perk her ears and look across to see Jerome at her height infront of her.
Koyuki wasn't one for lying, and found no reason to start now.
"A little, I admit." She spoke, and looked down to her lap. "I feel like such a child compared to her....its foolish to let it bother me but....she seems to experienced despite her overwhelming personality. I guess it just well....makes me feel inferior when she uses it against me." A soft sigh escaped from her lips, yet almost a moment later her breath caught in her throat as the loving gesture.
It almost made her not wish to wash that paw again. "J...Jerome..." Koyuki didn't hesitate as she moved off the stump and sat in his lap, leaning her back against his chest comfortably. "You always keep me safe....and it almost doesn't feel like its worth it to get out of bed knowing I can't come see you some days..." Closing her eyes for a moment she smiled, resting her head against his collar bone.

Jerome was happy to see her smile, even if she was upset at the moment, it meant that she was listening to him and that he was somehow making her feel better.
"Can you help it if your personality is the opposite of the woman's? No, you can't and truth be told, I didn't fall for that thing. I fell for you" he said sweetly as he nuzzled her a bit with his nose. He enjoyed the feeling of being able to hold her despite how awkward it might have looked from a distance. He rested his head on hers and took in the sweet smelling aroma of her hair while wrapping his tail around her.

"No...." Koyuki quietly spoke, she could not change who she was unless she became someone she wasn't; that was for sure. She was shy, playful, delicate and caring....but she wasn't some bold and confident female who would go get what she wanted without hesitation. A part of her wished she was more confident, but that was all.
If Jerome enjoyed her just the way she was, then so did she. As he confirmed these thoughts her cheeks turned cherry, chuckling gently as she turned with his head still resting on hers to nuzzle her face into the softer fabric of his under suit. Koyuki was honestly surprised his tail was still as soft as it was against her legs and side, her own curling around his as she sighed blissfully. "And you don't know how happy that makes me..."
Of course, it seemed all good things would eventually come to an end.
"Koooooooyuuuukiiiii-chaaannnn!" The loud masculine voice broke through the bushes as the body was soon to follow; a large, but just above average looking noodle pushed away the foliage around the vixen's favorite spot; a sultry smirk dancing across his beak. "There you are my pet - .............who the hell is that!? Let go of my pebble!" Drake huffed, glaring daggers at the spartan who had his grubby mits on his precious.
Koyuki snapped her head back to look at Drake before slumping in her actual lover's embrace and pinching the bridge of her nose with an irritated sigh. "and that's my other problem..." she knew the Penguin noodle meant no harm other than being obsessive and territorial, but Trovalius had told her thats how penguins were, especially his kind and looking for that 'perfect pretty pebble'.
Which apparently was her.

Jerome couldn't enjoy this moment more. He was comforted knowing that the warmth that radiated over him was not physical exercise, but rather the one he love more. He wished this moment could last forever, but he had a deep inner hunch that something was about to interrupt it, and boy was he right.
When the odd fox questioned him, his expression phased from calm to one filled with rage. He wrinkled his nose and let out a low growl. It wasn't that he was being protective over Koyuki, it was more of the fact that this bird brain ruined the moment and was assuming something that wasn't correct. "Piss off, fish breath." He snarled as his ears laid flat against his neck. He didn't want to move Koyuki, but he was preparing to do so if it meant chasing the penguin off

"At least its better than sweat and grime, dog..." The male shrilled, clicking his beak angrily. What did she see in this gruff soldier anyways; his fur/feathers were sleek and preened to perfection; his colours beautifully matching. He was clean and tidy and....well, this certainly didn't sit well with Drake.
Koyuki grumbled under her breath, her brows knitting as she flashed a warning glare to Drake as well. She was quite taken back by Jerome, flattered even if he didn't mean it as such. "Drake, leave me alone! I've told you already...I am not your pebble, or your pet, or interested!" She found her arms snaking around Jerome's torso as if to visually show that she was with the spartan, and no one else.
This however didn't work so well on the Penguin.
"Let go of her...." Drake snapped, "I'll take you home, Koyuki."

Jerome's glare intensified as her bared his teeth. "She said she wants you to leave! I suggest you honor that or I will do what dogs are supposed to do when they catch a nice little bird!" he growled. He put his arms around Koyuki to further intensify the fact that neither were going to let go of one another. It was now that he had hoped he had other friends that would get rid of this pest

"I'm not scared of you..." Drake shrilled once again, this pebble was HIS, and no one Else's. He'd be damned if he let anyone take her. That is...until a familiar and very irate demon stormed through the bushes and with one strong swing of his paw cracked the foolish bird in the back of the head so hard he passed out and fell to the ground. While not as big as Jerome, it was clear Trovalius had a head or two height advantage over Drake.
"Wretched scum, teach you to run away with a job half a** finished..." He sneered, before looking up and noticing Koyuki and Jerome with a visible flinch of disgust. What ever the hell was going on here, he didn't think he wanted to know. Grabbing drake by the leg, he huffed and turned, dragging the knocked out penguin back to the garden where he'd left his job. "Get a room, no one wants to see that crap."
Koyuki blinked, watching the scene before her play out before looking up to Jerome in confusion as Trovalius stalked off with Drake. "....I'm starting to realize why you prefer to live alone...." She couldn't help the grin which cracked over her lips, before tossing her head back in laughter. They just could never get a break it seemed! No matter, as she seemed to melt back into his embrace, it didn't take long will she felt at peace once more.
