Reese and Ammy had stayed up some what late, talking about silly things like what they enjoyed doing and how they would handle certain situations. It seemed as though they were a lot alike. That was good for the young Abyssinian because he needed somebody to relate to. Somebody to make him feel normal, and this girl seemed to do just that. Him and the older Tonkinese had fallen asleep beside each other while in the middle of their conversation, or so that's what you'd assume. The night was slightly chilly so it was only expected to have the two of them huddle for warmth, Reese's slightly smaller body clinging to Ammy's enthusiastically. He really desired physical contact. It was highly enjoyable to him.

The morning had come though, and birds could be heard chirping outside. That's probably what woke up Reese. Those birds and their morning songs were somewhat annoying when you were a drowsy cat looking to sleep in a few extra hours. His eyes fluttered open and at first he didn't recognize the scenery, or the girl who he was cuddling up against. Wait, he was sleeping with a girl?! He quickly withdrew his arms from around her body, possibly waking her in his startled state. He sat up and looked around the box that seemed to be his bed. There was a nice blanket below them, obviously they had made preparations to sleep in here. His eyes glided back to Ammy and his worries seemed to drift away once his memory started kicking in. She was the nice girl he had been talking with all night. There was no need to fret.

Shy little Reese couldn't help but smile at her confusion. She seemed a bit lost at first, questioning if it was he who was there. "Yeah, it's me." He laid back down beside her, wanting to take his time to wake up. His head was still a bit foggy from the sleep. The apology was what really threw him off though. "Sorry? Oh no, you didn't wake me. The birds outside. I'm a light sleeper I guess." He chuckled softly while glancing down at her arms. He wanted to snuggle back up against her, now discovering that it was pretty chilly without her warmth. "Did you get enough sleep? Dream about anything?" He wanted to continue talking with her because last night was absolutely amazing.

When his friend seemed to shy away from his question Reese was concerned that she had had a nightmare instead of a dream. If she didn't want to talk about such things he wasn't going to force her into doing so. He opened his mouth to comfort her but his speech was cut off when she admitted to him being there. He was hooked now, and didn't want the explanation to stop there. "I was?" he asked curiously and listened carefully to the rest of her dream. It truly sounded wonderful. "Oh, heh, that sounds like a wonderful dream Ammy." He smiled with relief and thanked god it turned out that she had dreamed of him instead of a nightmare. Then how come she was so shy at first to tell him?

When the Tonk asked him what he had dreamed about the Abyssinian looked up at the ceiling of the box, curiously thinking back to his dream state. "Hmmm, what did I dream about? Hehe," he laughed a little at his forgetfulness and soon flashes and pieces of his dream began to reveal themselves to him. "Well, I remember-" he started up be noticed that she was inching her way over to him. He smirked at this and sighed with slight relief. He wouldn't have to remain cold it seemed. She wanted to be warm just as badly as he did. He scooted closer, his cheeks turning a bright pink. He wrapped his arms around her and brought her body close to his. "I remember I was lost in the beginning. I was looking for something... and then... y-you appeared. Heh, I think I was so happy to see you that I forgot about what I was looking for... or maybe I found what I was looking for...you" He bit his lip and pondered his dream. What did it mean?

The teenager stared at her with joyful eyes, just soaking in every feature he could. She really was a pretty lady, and he knew he shouldn't be staring so rudely at her, but she couldn't see him watching her. She couldn't tell he was enjoying her beauty so deeply. "Breakfast? Breakfast sounds good right now." He rubbed her back lightly, hoping that the extra little movement wouldn't disturb her. Instead it was meant to comfort the lady. When she spoke about changing her bandages he grew a little curious as to whether or not she would need assistance in this. "Would you need my help? U-unless it's a personal thing. I'm sorry for asking if it is." He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, not in the least.

When Ammy explained how apologies weren't necessary the Abyssinian boy smiled at her kindness. She was so kind to him, and that's really what he liked most about her. Her attitude towards him and the rest of the world for that matter. "Okay then. I'll just wait here," he spoke in a soft voice and sat up as she pulled away. When she left he was left sitting in the box, looking around the small amount of space out of boredom.

It wasn't long before Reese was tapping his fingers and getting all nervous again. What if he did something wrong? What if he got her mad at him for doing something wrong. She seemed to be a bit self conscious about her bandages, but he guessed that it must be alright. She was the one who had offered anyways. When she entered the box and sat down with the first aid kit he smiled at her, but let it sort of die down a little bit when he remembered she couldn't see it.

She reached her hands up, having told him that she could accomplish the first part just fine by herself. He couldn't help but smirk at her independence, something else he enjoyed about her. As the bandages fell from her face and for the first time he saw her eyes he couldn't help but give a small gasp. At first he was a reaction of the scars but as he studied her closer that thought seemed to vanish. It wasn't that they were ugly or anything, but rather, he was concerned about how she got them. Finally, he opened his mouth to speak what was on his mind. "Y-your eyes.... they're... they're gorgeous." He smiled, even if she couldn't see, because this smile wasn't for show. He was really glad he was getting the change to see how gorgeous she was without her bandages.

She seemed so self conscious as he gasped, withdrawing a little from the embarrassment obviously. That's why he was quick to compliment her. Usually he was bashful about these things, yet Ammy's distress made him cut to the quick. When the Tonkinese questioned him about whether or not she should wear the bandages or not he reached out and placed his hand on hers, patting it lightly, his eyes never leaving hers, "Ammy, I think you should do what makes you feel comfortable." He didn't want his opinion to affect her in a negative way, but he did offer his advice, "but, I don't see anything that you would have to hide. How come you're so afraid to show your eyes?" He wasn't sure if it was a deep fear but she obviously had issues with leaving them uncovered in public.

Reese just couldn't believe some people. How could they just rudely stare at her disability like that? It wasn't right to make people feel weaker than they actually were. "Well, some people are just afraid of differences... but I'm sure that wasn't the case for most. They were probably just lost in the beauty of them, not staring at them." He smirked softly and felt his cheeks blush brightly. Hopefully this would boost her self esteem, because god knew she needed it.

Ammy finally gathered up enough courage to decide to leave her bandages off for today, just to try it out. He felt a smile gracing his lips but a nervousness in his stomach. What if people did stare, or worse, say something. Would he have the guts to stand up for her. Well, sure. He'd do anything to defend this wonderful lady, even if he wasn't the strongest or toughest cat around. Besides that, he wouldn't mind comforting her if things got bad. "Oh, good. I'm sure nobody will even notice you're lack of sight." He knew that was a long shot but it was suppose to make her feel better. At the mention of fish Reese felt his tail twitch with excitement. "Oh, that sounds pretty great, actually. I'm sure we could go over to the aquarium... if we're careful not to get caught by any of the cats there. Wanna take a risk?"
