It's unknown why an American school has a Japanese nickname, but then again, you've heard some pretty weird rumors about the headmaster, Death... er, "Shinigami-sama".
The name is easily the least crazy thing about the building. For one, it's huge, two it's covered in spikes, skulls and candles, and third, it's a school for children who turn into weapons and children who wield said weapons to learn how to annihilate and absorb evil souls in order to prevent the birth of a new demon god.
Also, Wednesday is pizza day in the cafeteria.
