The traveling seemed to never end. Tzi didn't mind though, she enjoyed Kova's company and was glad to actually now have a purpose in her travels. However it seemed that every time they were getting closer it felt like they were stepping back and getting farther and farther away.
One day they'd reach that musical pride and Tzi could dance at last like she had before. Maybe they could even give her vocal lessons.
Well, Kova wasn't around right then, and she hadn't seen any walks of life. Maybe just a little bit of singing wouldn't cause anyones ears to implode. Maybe. Tzi looked around once more before opening her maw and letting out a squeaky, "AnD thE zEEEbrAAA dIIId rOOOAMMMMM.." She quickly covered her mouth with her paws. That was awful!

That had to be the only explanation for the terrible noise he'd just heard. If someone was dying, then he needed to be a good sport and help put the creature out of its misery. Then, as a reward for his kindness, he would be able to eat the body and get himself a nice bit of extra warmth from their pelt. Maybe use the teeth for something, if they weren't wimpy flat teeth from no-meat eating animals. And the blood. That beautiful, beautiful blood.
He had to move quickly, or he would miss its final moments.
Unfortunately, the male soon discovered that it was not a dying animal making the noise. by what it appeared, it had actually been a lioness trying to... sing? Gah, he had wasted such time getting over to her! All for naught.
The male grunted lowly to himself, disappointed to see an non-injured animal giggling to herself in the near distance. "Oi," the male hissed, "you gonna find yourself on the wrong end a stampede wailing like that. Upsetting the peace, that's what you're doing. Keep it down, got it?"

Tzigana had thought she was safe, thought that no one had heard her terrible vocals until some one called out to her. She turned her head to find another lion. For a moment as she stared back at the male and really listened hard to his words, something died in her.
"Your right Im pretty bad aren't I." The female forced a smile and tried to play it off like she didn't care. On the inside she logically knew she was terrible but it crushed her a little to hear some one else say she was.
Maybe she shouldn't have practiced in such an open area. Maybe she should give up on singing. Yeah, that probably wasn't gonna happen.
"I thought I was alone," Tzi's voice was meeker this time, a little of her shame bleeding through.

The not-so-large male sat himself down, tilting his head to one side as he watched the female. She looked upset by what he had said, like it was some big shock. Had she been under the impression that she was actually good at singing, or had it just been new to have someone spit out the truth for a change? Either way, he found it oddly entertaining that she was trying so hard to look normal.
"You thought you were alone in the middle of these open lands? Think you ought to have planned that out a bit better. Try a cave. A deep, deep cave." so deep even the echos wouldn't escape.
"What you singing to yourself for, anyway? You're not some kind of nut, right?"

Tzi tilted her head at the last comment.
"Course Im not a nut. Do I look like Im made of nuts or something?" She was being completely serious. Sarcasim was a little out of Tzis reach most of the time. The female sat down her self and gave the blonde male a nice vacant stare.
Yeah, Tzi wasn't all that smart, she was a creature ruled from the heart and not the brain. Often times that came as a disadvantage on her part.
"I guess I .. just didn't think anyone would hear me," She answered his original question at last after moments of stalling.

Malenga was unsettled.
The way she looked at him was rather creepy. She didn't seem to have much going on in that head of hers. The proof was in her astounding ability to completely misinterpret what he had said to her. It seemed like she honestly thought he had been referring to real nuts.
Strange.
"I gathered that, love," Malenga replied, "I was just unlucky to be around at the wrong time. Thought you were dying. Shame, though, cause I could have used a free meal."

Tzi made a face at the thought of him eating her. It made her feel a little uneasy, but she couldn't blame him. Lions ate meat, and it wasn't like he was about to murder her.
Still the female tensed a little at his comment. When you were a lion it was a hard thought to swallow the possibility of some one eating you, dead or alive.
"M-maybe some other dying creature will come across your path," Tzi couldnt keep the frown off her maw.

The male watched her a moment after his comment, tail twitching slightly at his side as his eyes scanned her over. No... she seemed just pretty enough to keep alive, even if she couldn't sing. Still, it was always fun to play games with the other lions, particularly the ones he felt he could beat in a not-so-fair fight.
"Maybe," he replied coolly, "but whaty if I don't wanna wait for another dying critter to come along? Seems we've got ourselves a little problem here, love. I was all set to eat you and now I don't know if I'm willing to change my mind." He smiled at her, long white fangs exposed.
"You got any real talent in that frame of yours? I would dispense with the chatter right about now, if you do, and start showing it off. Give me a reason to let you live."

Tzi's ears went flat behind her head. This guy meant business.
"Please," She chewed her lip, "I've just found my happiness and I'm not ready to let him go," She gulped taking a few steps back. Maybe she could out run him..
Wait a minute the two were lions. She wasn't prey she was a lion! This JUST dawned on her. But she wasn't one for violence either. Fight or run, fight or run... This thought mused through her head for a good while as she stood there frozen.
"T-two pairs of claws and teeth are b-better then one," She nodded, "I can help find you something maybe." She thought that was pretty reasonable.. maybe.

"The little missy's in love?" Malenga asked with a cruel chuckle, "how bloody adorable. Well then, I reckon you should stop blubbering because it's pissing me off." He got to his feet, letting his long claws grip the dirt before he started to move around her, his eyes never leaving her from just in case she had it in her mind to try something.
The lion wasn't sure what he was ultimately going to do with her, but he knew it was going to be fun. That is, if she didn't go running off into the sunset before giving him a chance to fully enjoy himself.
"Well, Patch?" he hummed, "that's a nice offer, but I'm a soloist myself. I know you can't sing. Can you dance? Will you dance for me to save your life?"

The female literally was border line about to piss her self. Her feet seemed to just be cemented to the ground. She was a deer in the headlights with no chance of moving.
That was until he offered her to dance. Thats when her paws seemed to be able to move again. A cocky smile planted it self on her maw. Course she could dance, she was sure of that.
"I can," She nodded, completely trusting that if she danced the crazed male would go away. Yeah, Tzi was naive like that. "Can you give me a beat or am I gonna have to make up one in my head to dance to." Slowly her courage was building it self back up.
Still, inwardly she screamed for Kova to come back.

He could see the fear in her start to melt after he'd suggested she dance for him. Well, it seemed he had hit on something she could actually do. Perhaps it wouldn't be a bloody day after all. Not that he actually would have killed her if she didn't happen to have any talent, but it was always fun to think of himself as that kind of monster.
He was a bad a**- ask anyone.
"You're the one who might die here, love, so you make the beat up in that pretty little head of yours. I'm not going to do work here." He replied with a grunt, sitting himself down once more so he could better watch the show.
This was fun. He loved it so when he got to spend time with other lions.

The female shook her head, she wasn't going to die now, at least she believed that. The female leapt in the air and started her dance. Right step, left step, twirl, pace, bounce, all those type of fancy moves. Tzi concentrated with every paw step as she listened to the beat in her head. She even ended with a fancy move.
Her heart was racing now. ... wait she could have run away. Why didn't she think of that sooner? Crap.
"Hope.... that was good ....enough for you," She panted and smiled up at the lion. She was sure it was good. At least she hoped. s**t, she should have run..

Malenga tilted his head to one side, watching as the female danced for him. It was a lovely dance, he could tell that she had a lot of talent after all. Her movements reminded him of the female he adored- such a lithe creature who loved to move and sway to the songs sung to her by the stars. She was happy to dance to no beat.
Then again, she was bat-s**t crazy, too.
Smiling, less cruelly now, the lion rose to his paws once more, progressing towards her slowly. "Yes," he cooed, "that was good enough for me to let you live, I think. You dance like that for the males and you'll be the one calling all the shots. They'd murder to see moves like that." He turned from her at that, peering over his shoulder back at her.
"Take care, love, you never know when I might come visit you again. I'd murder to see those moves, same as anyone, after all."

The female lifted a brow. She wasn't exactly sure what he meant by that but Tzi knew she was glad to see him leave. The female reliezed she really didn't want to see him again.
Well at least some good came from the experience, the lioness would probably never sing again. Ever. Never.
Not if it meant it was the calling card to crazy lions who wanted to kill her if she had no other talent. The female shook her head. The brush of death had been to close.
Still, it made her feel a little... excited. What a strange feeling, was this what people called a rush?
Tzi smiled and went the other way trying to make sense of what had happened.
