This thread is out of character ((OOC)) only. I've created this thread because I want to hear everyone else's thoughts and ideas for Ulorbbath. This is your city too!
This will also be a brainstorm thread. A place, should you be interested, to work up plots. I hope that this will help with getting houses involved with other houses and etc...
You have to be a citizen of Ulorbbath to post in here.

As far as myself, I am looking for names for the districts of Ulorbbath. A name for the island, the river, the plateau, and the surrounding areas of the city.
I also need ideas on what Ulorbbath could trade, what we are most known for. I also want a better name for the city. Like how Menzoberranzan is also known as the City of Spiders. Something like that.
I need ideas for landscaping in the city as well as the surrounding area.

Names, do they have to be real names, or can we be creative and make them up?
As for trade, why not the usual things like weapons, magical items, armor, slaves, {Since we are drow wink }, maybe come up with a alternate food source like the drow have with Rothe, come up with something different. I can't think of anything, but..yeah. >>

Hmm.....City of SPiders....
Since Ulorbbath is the Llothlite hub of Undergaia, why not call it "The City Of Lloth's grace or something?
For trade, my house has been built on the idea of an artisan house that trades it's crafts and services throughout the near-by cities. I am not sure how to go an initiate that though...

Well, as I had suggested earlier, a possible alternate name for the G'eldraena district could be Cress d' Barra or the Web of Shadow.
As far as trade...my House is one primarily based on stealth and assassination. I was thinking of possibly offering the "services" of our assassins...for a price. twisted

yea and Ched Nesad was Shimmering Webs and the layout matched to the title
i wanna interact with the other Matron mothers (in a homicidal way) but...
I DONT LIKE THEM scream (IC related sense xp )
but i had given Naki (owner of the tavern in the Ulorbbath thread) a list from my journal of drow food and beverages that i had researched years ago and he has it on his front page 3nodding

How about an "IC" Council of Matrons? That's the easiest way I can think of the Matrons getting together, just like in the FG novels. If I remember correctly, it's the top 8 or so major houses that belong to the council, but whatever arrangement works best for UG. I'm not sure if this has been tried before here.

and as i am in the 9th i am uninvited rolleyes
and i do wish to interact with the other matrons but it is matter of killing them and taking over i have a habit of putting as high priority lol

Why not host some sort of city wide competition? Some sort of duel of champions or tests of skill, at the very least it will give us a chance to interact, plus some of us are only property, and it would be nice to show off to potential buyers

Vampiress- Actually, one of the houses has been moved to the archives. Your house is now the seventh.
I guess most people haven't payed attention to the thread "Ulorbbath" that I updated just yesterday. stare
Spikey- That's not a bad idea, but something that all matrons would have to agree with. I don't know about the other houses, but currently I do not have a fighter to represent Rylinndar.

Also, Veldrin, I have decided to turn the old Ge'dreana into the market area of Ulorbbath.
And if not that...........then something else............
It may not hold any particular city purpose...
I don't know yet........I can't think of anything cool for it.
