Since I get asked this question a lot, I figured I would make this thread to clarify the problems I have with people playing demonic/draconic/other big time baddie characters.
I'm not saying this is the rule for every case-- we do make exceptions for very well thought out and dynamic profiles, and we certainly encourage a diverse player count.
But, here in the land of Undergaia, we do try to keep things somewhat D&D-like when we can.
In D&D, demons don't really walk the material plane freely. They must be sent with a catalyst, generally, or summoned most of the time. Like Drizzt's panther, it is not common for fiends to stay outside their home plane for prolonged periods. So naturally, if we have a bunch of demons running around all the time doing whatever they please and fraternizing with drow, something is clearly ******** wrong and the gods aren't doing their jobs.
As for dragons-- assuming you're an evil aligned dragon (If you're good aligned you really have no ******** business down here anyway), you are generally way too focused on eating people and making them s**t out their prostates in fear while you sit on huge a** piles of gold to give a damn about any "lesser" race such as the Drow. You are the Gods' gift to everything, and you like shinies a lot. Unless the drow HAVE said shinies in endless supply and feed you 29 cows a day or somehow under some very uncommon ******** circumstances manage to enslave you, the last thing you want to do is make buddies with inferior folk that live in caves... it could put a nasty stain upon your <******** fantastic majesty.

Methinks I agree. For Demons there are a few exceptions (take Jeggred from the War of the Spider Queen as an example) but they are exceptions, not the rule. And yeah, anyone that rp's as a dragon pretty much doesn't know what they're talking about.

personaly if they use the d&d ecl format for them which is for wyrmling-jeuvinile, there shouldnt be an issue, however i have to whole heartedly agree a great wyrm, no way in hell.
(this is an oppinion and therefore not subject to trashing so dont even try, however it is up for debate)

▷ xnow i wanna play an evil dragon with a god complex who convinces a little cult to give him shinies and sacrifices of each other to prove their loyalty. just some dragon gone crazy in the dark or something (BECAUSE NONE OF MY CHARACTERS CAN EVER BE SANE) that is convinced he's a god. or something. CAN I FLESH THIS IDEA OUT WITH YOU FURTHER, AND FOR THE MOST PART HAVE HIM AS A PASSIVE TOURIST ATTRACTION UNTIL WE FEEL THE NEED FOR SOME MUTUAL EVIL PLANNING?. (i'm thinking vierdah + crazy dragon-god mount = the little drows running around screaming?.) ((yes, i have been playing too much dragon age. lolwut, dragon-god.)
