Everybody please welcome our new crew member Divash! Due to the guild expanding and previously inactive crew, Nathan and I felt it would be helpful to have another crew, and we're glad to have her! biggrin
Not that this was really any surprise, as since she first joined she's been a candidate for the spot if we needed it. She's full of information on everything, especially Judaism, and is always willing to help the rest of us learn! Besides that, she's always kind to all guild members, accepting of everybody no matter what their beliefs, and tries to help keep the peace around here. And she consistently has proper grammar and spelling, too!
Congratulations for getting a position most deserved!
Update 8/26/06
Well, due to Angelic_Elfy leaving, at his request, he is no longer a crew member. (He will always be welcomed back, though whenever he wants! ^^)
So, everybody please wish him luck wherever he is going, and say good-bye. sad
UPDATE 6/5/06
Well, Kia, unfortunately, is going to be pretty much inactive over the summer with camp and everything, so we decided to promote 2 more crew members, and umm..I'm vice captain now. sweatdrop (note- this is darkphoenix)
soo....Welcome Nathan_Ngl and Silverah!! You are our new crew! biggrin
Update 1/24: For those of you who don't know yet, our former crew member angelic elf has been back in the guild with the username Spliner. He was hacked and using a mule account. Today, he got his regular account back, and his schedule is finally cleared up enough that he's agreed to be crew again. Hopefully, this will appease those of you who accuse me of being sexist, as angelic is male. He's also Israeli, and we were lacking in non-American crew as well. So there you go! I'm not sexist!
Update 12/24: Yesterday was the deadline for our former crew to contact me. Amitzah and angelic elf have been demoted, as they didn't get back to me on time. Kaophyre has promised to be active again though, so everyone say hi when you see her around! I'm very happy to have her back around the guild.
For now, I've decided to appoint only one more crew member. I was already considering this person when she sent me the first PM asking about being crew, and then someone else nominated her to me. That made my decision even easier. I'm happy to announce that darkphoenix1247 will be the new crew member for the JGG. She's been an active member for I don't even know how long, and is always participating in the discussions and enjoying herself. I see her as another one like me for crew appointment- almost expected.
For many of our newer guild members, I've been the only crew member who is here most of the time, and many of you have never met our founding captain, oh em jyu. Earlier, I sent an email to our esteemed captain, asking her to turn over the captaincy for the benefit of the guild. As of today, I am the owner of the Jewish Gaians Guild. I am in the process of making some changes.
The most obvious things right now will be the new sub-forums. The first is locked to crew only, so that we can keep in touch easier.
The second is for schmoozing. This is something that I know some guild members have been asking for, but I just would prefer to keep it out of the main guild forum. While I ask that you keep things appropriate and all, this sub-forum is where you can chat about your lives and everything. I acknowledge that as Jews we can't stick to just discussion, but need to have a little community going. So enjoy that subforum!
I am also considering choosing a new crew member, since I can't do everything. I think I already know who I am going to ask, but if you are interested then PM me.
Please continue to check this thread when it says that it has been updated. I'll post whenever I make any other changes in the guild.
I want to thank you guys in advance. Everyone in this guild is great, and I know that we as a guild won't have any problems with this transition.

But also, a fellow guild member nominating darkphoenix made her an easy choice. If I wasn't the only one who thought she would be good crew, then it must be a good choice.
