"Hi!" she said happily. Her hands were almost covered in blood and she held a small bundle.

Alex smiled.
"Sorry i missed the race. Dawn came to my door and almost fell down. She gave birth to her first litter. Want to see?" Alex asked. She was so happy this was her first time doing this. It was great being the goddess of animals!

Alex led him to the corner behind her bed and knelt down beside a yellow lad.
"Dawn meet Sean," Alex said and petted the dog. She placed the blanket down and picked up a baby dog no bigger then her hand. It squirmed a little but soon began to nurse as Alex put him by his mother's milk. She smiled brightly.

Alex smiled.
"They won't be able to see or hear for about 2 weeks. Dawn's going to have to stay here for some time but as the daughter of the goddess of animals I'll take good care of the family," she said. the nine puppies nursed rapidly on their mother's milk. "Hard to believe such a small body can be so hungry."
