Hi guys! Sooo .. yesterday, last night and now today my quiet little town is getting blanketed in SNOW! it's beautiful! this area of town looks lots better in the summer sun, but down a few blocks there's a bunch of big evergreens and they look lovely all covered in snow. anywayz..... I'm thankful for the snow today! Jesus' precious blood washes us white as snow.
Gods word tells us to be thankful and give thanks always to the Lord. If you'll notice in the 1st chapter of Romans it lists a bunch of wicked sinful ways starting in verse 21. It goes on to list super wicked sins, but what stands out to me sometimes when i read that is where it says
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;"
I just believe we should make sure that we're being thankful to God for all he's done for us because when we're not thankful, we're headed in the wrong direction. *takes breath* surprised Okay guys... so.. WHAT YA THANKFUL FOR TODAY? biggrin

Where is everyone on this post? This subject should be rocketing off the charts! God does something every day and He wants to be thanked for it. Not only that but what we testify publically about God doing in our lives shows Him to be real to unbelievers.
Come on guys lets kick this one up a notch or two!!!

Today I am thankful for the peace, comfort and provisions God has supplied a friend of mine. Her mother died very unexpectedly (young) and is being buried up North. God made sure that she had the finances to travel through the outpouring of love that came from friends and neighbors without her having to even state her need. Thank you God!

Well, let's see. Dad's still drawing breath, Meadow and I can probably afford the RenFest this year (meaning a bunch of bills are paid off, and we're no longer having to live off ramen). There's plenty more to be thankful for, but those are the biggies right now.

I'm thankful God got me up last night to pray, talk and read my Bible. I'm thankful that I mean so much to Him that He wants to meet me in quiet times like that. And even though I got little more than 2 hours sleep I feel as though I slept all night.

The biggest things: I'm thankful for God's assistance in defeating a demon that has been attacking me for a month or so. I'm thankful for God helping me instead of working wonders for me, so that I become stronger and more useful to him. I'm thankful for the clues he's giving me to piece things together. And many more. biggrin

I'm thankful that the weather here this morning was abosolutely beautiful, and I was able to sit outside on my swing sipping my coffee, while admiring the roses that survived the winter. Most people would say...thats a red rose, or a pink rose but when I look at them I see all the nuances of color in them and it never fails to remind me that The Master Artist was at work again creating a masterpiece just for me. smile

I'm thankful that I went in for a routine medical test (to check on my cancer) and the Dr. found out I had pneumonia before I even had any symptoms. And that I am still in remission smile

I've reported in the Prayer thread that my father has ... well, a number of medical problems, most notably leukemia and (more recently) pneumonia. And for months, he's had a painful and persistent cough ... "persistent" as in "every five minutes".
Well, I was visiting my parents yesterday, and in ninety minutes' time ... he coughed twice. Both times were far less than I'm accustomed to hearing from him. And he's feeling well enough that he and Mom are talking about going to Texas in a couple of weeks (we have relatives there).
I'd call that a "praise", yeah. Mind you, I'm not jumping up and down screaming "miracle!" yet; I want to hear from the doctors first. But I'm glad that cough is over, and that he's doing better.

I'm grateful that I'm startin' to see God moving around here. It may not seem as great as some things that have been reported here, but ... it's enough for me.
