i dont understand how to get an arcaine to learn thunder fang. i looked at his move list and it is a base move for him. i tried breeding. growlithe cant learn it. so do i just catch a arcaine that knows it??? i dont think you can even catch one... doesnt kno what to do... lol

I can tell you.
There is a move tutor in Pastoria City that will teach your pokemon 'forgotten' moves that it had known with the help of a Heart Scale. With some pokemon they have a few extra moves there, and Thunder Fang for Arcanine is one of them. I hope this helps you, also if you may need a heart scale, I'm sure I can spare a few.
On another note, Arcanine gains Morning Sun in Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
I'm gonna have to get me a Growlithe. xD

I never really used the move tutor.
I have a lot of heart scales from the underground.
thanks for the information and even for considering giving me some heart scales.
i cant wait for soul silver. i hope they give something out for reserving it...

I think they give you that Pokewalker thing, or that may just come with the game on it's own.

Half-aZn_Taco i would rather have the pokewalker thing that japan got.... oh well having lugia wouldnt be bad either. i think, IIRC, that the games Come with it packaged with them. but thats just what i assume, i've nto gotten any soruce to confirm/deny

O God i sure hope they make the pokewalker real , that would kickbutt!! especially it could even help out overweight or obese people who like pokemon =D everyone wins!

Yep, found out from the personnel at Gamestop that if you reserve a copy of either HG/SS you will get the respective figurine.
I got to see what they look like.
Pretty cool looking if I say so myself.

they raised the price on the game because the walker thing automatically comes with the game. i was at gamestop and thats what they said

heres the news, the new games(gold and silver) are coming out with this thing like a pedometer. it counts your steps as EXP points which are transfered to your DS. you collect items and money as you go. amazing. cant wait!!
