((This RP takes place on the outside.))
There was a sense of panicked expectancy in the air. It suffocated Gabby, while at the same time thrilled her. So much had happened in the past, she thought, so much leading up to these moments. She could hardly recount all the things that had been spoken of, all the plans that been made. Now were the first steps towards their goal. Now was the time to wait for The Sign. Gabby's orange eyes wavered over the expanse of land ahead, always watching, always waiting for something. She seemed hungry and terrified at the same time, paws kneading the earth beneath her. Her heart was unused to such stern situations--but of course she was ready to serve Nukta. She was always ready to serve Nukta...
Voices made the wild dog's splotchy ears shift to the sides, and she was snapped out of her momentary trance. Her head bent down automatically to show her subservient nature that had been forgotten in her deep thinking. Three lions were around her, all watching for the same thing as her. They were all watching and waiting, adding to the suspense. Gabby felt a tremulous breath leave her lips and she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, they were harder and held determination. She was there with them for a reason, all for Nukta. Whatever she did, she did for him.
...Nukta...
Why had he sent her out there--outside? Was she not...useful enough to be constantly at his side, her ears always listening, her body always ready to serve at the slightest murmur? She didn't understand...But no, no, it was not her place to understand. She...
The wild dog bit her lip and sat down, ears folding to the sides and eyes cutting a sideways glance to her comrades. She couldn't help the creeping thought of how strange a group they were.

It was indeed a strange group.
The dark pelted lion was pacing back and forth, a frown upon his lips, but the only reason for that was because he was impatient. He did not care that they were left on the outside, he was sure Nukta had his own reasons for doin so. If the others gave any hint of blaming him for being out here, he would not hesitate to growl at them, but he did not really care. He did not care, as long as he was given a chance to fight and get the adrenaline pumping through his veins again.
He hardly gave a glance to the wild dog or the others and simply continued pacing, waiting for the sign. The sign that would tell them that they were ready to bare their teeth and claws and make it a bloody battle.

The large brown lion sat back on his haunches and waited paciently. He had complete faith in Nukta, and would follow him to the letter. So wait he would.
His green eyes followed the dark male, almost as something to do. He was rather antsy, it seemed to Adebo, and kept pacing. He almost wanted to say that the sign would come when it would come, but Adebo was of a mind to not get on that male's nerves. After fighting that one male all those moons ago, he was a little wary about starting another battle.
Even if he was on the eve of one.

Faraja didn't mnd being left on the outside of the battle within, sure she was willing to help Nukta out - she had promised to after all and her thoughts kept returning to the strange lion she had helped all those moons ago. it seemed fitting that she would find herself here now, helping his kin reclaim thier lands. She wondered briefly what had happened to the blue beast but shook her head to clear these thoughts away. There would be time to find that out later. After the battle.
Her eyes settled upon the pacing male, his dark coat and flame licked legs moved restlessly - all but wearing a trail in the grass. "You need to calm down" She finally told him with a slight sigh "Your only wearing yourself out prematurely" She pointed out after a few moments of silence, her eyes flicking to the other two companions. The dog seemed just as eager, at least Adebo seemed to be keeping his cool.

Gabby opened her maw to say something, but quickly closed it. It wasn't her place to speak right now. Her words were unimportant. She would sit in silence as usual and observe the others. They were all waiting for the sign together. At least in that, they were a unit. But part of Gabby wondered if that would be enough...
No, no, it would. Because Nukta was in control. It was his idea to put them together, so he must have known they could work together. It would work. She had faith in him.
Gabby knew the other lions were needed for the plan, but part of her still wondered why her beloved leader didn't send her for some other task. She was quick and agile, a very good messenger. Yet she had been told to go out with those lions and wait for the sign.
The wild dog's ears twitched nervously at the sound of the lioness's voice and she lowered her head even more in a startled reflex. Her words were true, Gabby thought. The large male frightened Gabby very much, and she was constantly doing her best to seem as submissive as possible whenever the male came around. He was the last lion in Nukta's group she ever, ever wanted trouble from.
...No, not the last...

Upon being approached, the large red lion stopped, only to turn to fix the brow lioness with a stare that could be almost described as befuddled yet intimidating, and he gave a soft 'hmph' before deciding to heed her words. He would save his energy for the upcoming fight.
With this decision met, he sat in silence, still unwilling to strike up any form of conversation with those that were on his sides and could be described as his comrades. Honestly, he didn't really care, and the only reason he had listened was because it was a valid point. He was focused on the battle, and nothing else.
His tail however, still impatiently swished from side to side, as those orange eyes blazed.

((GAH EPIC FAIL. Sorry guys... ))
Adebo changed his gaze to the lioness who was far more outspoken than he was. Then again, Adebo had been of the mind that you spoke when your elder spoke to you for so many years, that he just was fine with not saying a word.
Faraja was right, of course. The red and black male did need to cool down. Adebo stood up and walked over to Faraja and sat down next to her.
"I wonder what's going on..." he said absent mindedly, glancing off into the direction the sigh would come from.
