She was normally an active creature, but today she just felt so tired. Maybe it was boredom kicking in, but whatever it was, it was odd. Very different from what she was used to. The day had seemed to drag on, and its sun hung high in the sky, and continued to beat down its bright warmth against her back. The black of her pelt seemed to make her warmer, though she was thankful she was all over black.. She was sure the heat would be unbearable. It was even a dry day, making her wish she lived next to the watering hole. Oh well, no matter. A trek across the savannah wasn't too out of the question.
She grumbled a little, though she began her journey regardless. She knew that she had to walk, and she might as well get over it quickly. She did hope though, that maybe the sun would depart and leave the moon in its place. That would certainly make this more bearable.
Her paws carried her rather quickly, and she walked at a steady pace. Hot pink eyes looked over the savannah as she sought out the prized water. She needed to move closer, it was just that simple. She may have found an old hyena den, but she needed to find something more suited for her survival.
She yawned, and looked around her for any sign of entertainment. Oh woe was her.. She was going to be alone for another day, and another long night afterwards.

Things had not been going as well as the dual colored male since his time spent in that blasted female warrior pride. He shook his head with disgust as he stalked across the Savannah not bothered by the heat of the sun or the dryness of the air. In fact he rather preferred it compared to the moistness of his pride's lands.
He had been spending so much time in the company of his daughter that he had decided he needed some space. He offered her no explanation other than he 'needed to think about some things' much to her obvious frustration. It didn't matter, to him his needs always came first.
He was always top priority.
Now though, his thoughts were muddled and unclear and he needed a distraction. He needed something, someone to entertain him. Someone that would be all too perfect to manipulate.
If only he knew how close he was to finding that person.

She had never really known much about the prides in the area. She came from a very solitary family, that had wandered on its own. Being seperated from them had likely done her no good.. But at least she was free, and she was happy.
She didn't see the black and pale blue male. If she had, she likely would have approached him and tried to make a friend. It was for her best now that she did not see him. She was easily a pawn in any game, and so she could be easily manipulated. Not something she actually realized, but it was something that had always been true of her life.
Heavy paws touched the savannah's grasses, and she perked an ear. Stopping midstep she began listening, and began feeling movement through the earth in her paws. Vibrations that strong, meant that there was a herd of animals coming. She licked her lips, but turned, and continued moving forward. She didnt feel like trying to get away from a stampeding group.
