AAH
So I play in my string quartet...first violin for this new piece of music we got
over the weekend someone used the band room
and they moved my stuff around
and I cant' find the MASTER COPY of the music we're playing. Yeah she didn't make any copies.
I have violin tomorrow, and if I don't get it by then I'm screwed.

do you guys think i should ask her how much it cost? I've looked everywhere...i think someone threw it out.

well on the bright side i found some old music that my bd said I could have...

Probably should've included
we haven't got lockers or anything, see. the only form of organization we have is a percussion closet D:
So, we leave our stuff according to sections. Our stuff got moved.

i probably should have clarified: why do you leave your stuff lying around at school, especially when you haven't got any lockers? it's just stupid. if you don't have lockers, take your stuff home.

I have to agree with you on that one...i'm lazy and forgetful xD
but
with no band lockers all the people with larger instruments have to go to the auditorium to get their stuff....
It gets confusing, because some of the non-band kids go there too, to hang out after school (don't ask, because I don't know)
and therefore i usually wait until Wednesday and Thursday to get my instrument, because people just...don't go then. Again, I don't know why :p

Well this may be just me, but at my school, you can leave anything in the msicroom and no one will take it.

Why would someone throw away music? gonk I can't even bring myself to throw away (or recycle, as I never throw paper away) copies of music that we don't need.

Is someone other than band people using that room? Maybe they don't realize the importance or cost of music.

(I'm really attached to physical pieces of music and value them greatly. Yet I've lost for band librarian two years in row.)

I'm sad to say that maybe you should look to find and buy a new copy. But only after you search high and low in the band room. Even if you didn't lose it, you technically had the responsibility of the music. Other people suck sometimes.

Keep your music in a folder with you, always make copies, and keep your instrument under lock and key. It's pretty easy to make a habit of keeping a keychain with you.

Lazy and forgetful or not, those probably cost a pretty penny and are worth protecting.
