 Nebula was still very new and hadn't gotten around much. Sure, she had been lost in a tunnel once, but that wasn't much for scenery and anyway she hated being underground.
The sylph had found herself in the Liff Forest. This place had called to her as she loved to fly among the trees. At the moment she sat on a very low hanging branch.
As much as she loved the trees Neb felt the need and longing to be with others. She needed the life force that others had. The sylph looked up and through the tree's canopy she saw the darkness and the stars.

Yeesh. How long had it been since I've gone out? thought Lucifer as he stretched his arms and wings. Twirling a ponytail with his finger, he continued to walk in the moonlight. It was a nice night, and the darkness was comforting to him. He grinned and continued on, picking a leaf here and there, only to cast it aside as nothing more than a piece of trash. He ran his hand against the trunk of a tree, scraping the bark along the way and orbited it until something blue caught his eye on a branch. Huh. A Slyph, eh? A pretty one too he thought, and chuckled aloud.

Nebula was about to fly up into the tree with she heard something. She wasn't sure if it was another Ghostling or something else. The Sylph looked around to see if she could spot whatever it was. It was just too dark.
"Hello?" Neb asked out from the tree she sat in. She wasn't sure if this was a good idea or bad. She was either confirming it was a friendly or bringing attention to herself for something unfriendly.

Huh, he hadn't been noticed...Lucifer grinned again and moved effortlessly behind the tree. His head still stuck out as his blue, demonic eyes fixated on the sylph.
"My, my, what have we here?" he said, in a low, teasing voice. It seemed to echo in the mysterious forest, as if disembodied.

Nebula heard the voice first. She looked around to try and find where it was coming from and from who or what it came from. He then saw the blue eyes in the dark.
"Um... I'm Nebula." Neb answered not sure if that was what his question was really looking for. "Who are you?" She asked as she floated down off the branch and closer towards the eyes.

Lucifer moved forward, undaunted by the presence of another Ghostling. She looked harmless anyways, why should he back away? Instead, he stood straight, his chin slightly raised, and grinned at her as she fluttered down. What a magnificent pet.. he thought, though she was no kitty-cat. He blinked at her and chuckled a little as he forgot his manners. How terribly rude.
"And I am Lucifer...Nebula is an intriguing name indeed." he said.

Nebula smiled at that. Okay, so he was a Ghostling too. Then there wasn't much to be scared of...or was there?
"Nice to meet you Lucifer. Thanks." The girl nodded. She was happy to have company as she needed the energy. "What brings you out on a night like this?" She asked as she looked back up at the stars shinning through the canopy.

"Ehhh, boredom mostly. Get's cramped when you stay home too long. Gotta go out for a walk every now and then." said the dark Ghostling.
He felt oddly weakened now that she was closer. He ignored that as nothing, however, and leaned against the tree trunk.
"What about you?" he asked in return, his eyes panning to look at her directly.

Boredom Nebula could see that. "Me? I don't know. I've just been looking around. I'm rather new." She didn't admit that she needed someone around for energy as it wasn't something she really liked to talk about.
"I wonder what's around that's not boring?" Nebula asked as she looked around where they were. It was getting darker and darker now that the sun was almost set.

New eh? Lucifer was pretty new himself but he was not about to admit that. Not to her anyways. He barely knew the sylph!
"Big trees I guess." he shrugged, peeling off a piece of bark. "I don't live here, so it's a change. And change relieves boredom for me." he added. He took the piece of bark, and a small blue ember began to burn on its surface. The flame spread and grew until all that remained of the bark fragment were ashes that Lucifer let fall onto the ground. He smiled as the remains floated away into the dust, the ashes that were a product of his newfound power. Thoughts of rebirth crossed his mind for a moment as the ashes rejoined the soil before those thoughts floated away as well.

Nebula watched as Lucifer burned up the wood with blue flames. Wow that was neat and handy too. "That was neat. I can't do that." she admitted although she knew they guy would know that anyway.
Nebula only sucked away others life force. She didn't want to do it...but she had to. For that she cried a single tear. The tear was the key. She could, once in a while, see things. Things about the one she was sharing the life force of.
Nebula's tear fell from her eye as she watched the ashes fell to the earth. She didn't seen anything that time. It didn't work always.

Lucifer clapped his hands together to get the rest of the ashes off. He smirked at his small accomplishment. He liked showing off every now and then. To pretty girls mostly. He refused to remember that the power came with a price. He just wanted to think of how awesome blue fire was. Simple pleasures in life, yes? When he looked up at her after she finished speaking, he saw a glint fall from her eye.
"Are you crying?" he asked. Why would she be crying? He just showed her an amazing trick, after all...

"Oh, ah it's nothing." Nebula told him as she wiped her face clean. "How do you make it blue?" The girl tried to change the subject. She didn't really want to talk about her tear. It was odd and then she would have to admit that she needed energy from people. She wasn't sure he would be happy or made about that.

Hm. Probably an overactive tear duct. or allergies. or something. He kept trying to piece together reasons and almost missed her question. Luckily, he managed to playback the sounds he heard and deciphered them into words. How does he make it blue? He wasn't really sure.
"It's always been blue..so I don't really know. I mean I don't do anything special, it's just that way.." his words trailed off as he wandered into thought. He picked at a piece of bark again, and wondered. How beautiful it would be if the whole tree was on fire.. His teeth showed as he grinned, but Lucifer stayed his hand.

"Really? That's kind of neat. It is pretty." Nebula said. I just must have been his power or something. Blue flames were very pretty. More so then the regular red and orange.
The world was almost dark now. It was getting harder to see. "Maybe you could make a torch for light?"
