~My first review~ .:Resident Evil 5:. Systems: Xbox 360, PS3, PC Rated: M *Why did I choose this as my first review? =Resident Evil 5, believe it or not, was the first Resident Evil game I've played, however, not the first survival-horror game I've played. So, due to me being a freakin' fanatic, I chose it. DEAL WIT IT! D8< .:Gameplay:. The controls, to some (like me), will have some getting used to. The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 4 = run, stop to aim with laser-sighted weapon, and fire. Yeah, yeah, yeah. - v- Lamely and lazily stated. :3
.:Story:. ~SPOILER WARNING~ Meh. The story was interesting, IN MY OPINION. D:
-in my words and rememberance-
Chris Redfield (omfg!), who is now in the B.S.A.A., arrives in Africa, in search of his old partner, Jill Valentine (YUCK), and to also stop the person we all know and love/hate, Albert Wesker. Once he arrives, he meets Sheva Alomar, a fellow B.S.A.A. member, and his new partner. Saying the word 'partner' makes Chris have flashbacks of Jill, who is presumed dead. They then find out that the citizens of Kijuju aren't normal, for they are infected with a new parasite. (That's all you get. :3 )
.:Voice-Acting:. A random category. 8D I'll just sum up the MALE voices. Chris - Not bad, although one of his lines annoy the heck out of me. 'kTHANKS' 'kTHANKS' ...memories... e_e
Irving - Was this guy supposed to sound like the Joker? Ovo;;
Wesker - *insert plenty of screaming here* .:Overall:. Great game.
Me gives it a 5. 8D
...DON'T JUDGE ME!

Fatal Frame III: The TormentedReleased: November 8, 2005System: Play Station 2Player(s): 1Rated M for Mature Story: Quote: The game follows Rei Kurosawa, a 23 year old freelance photographer. Her fiancé, Yuu, died in a car accident she caused by driving carelessly months before. While on a freelance assignment taking pictures of a supposedly haunted mansion with her assistant Miku Hinasaki, the heroine of the first Fatal Frame game, she sees her deceased fiancé Yuu in a hallway after taking a picture of it, after which she has a daydream of a snowy manor. After she returns home and develops the photo she took, an image of Yuu appears in the photograph. After this, Rei begins having strange recurring dreams. In these dreams, she finds herself at an old Japanese manor house during a heavy snowfall and observes her fiancé entering the house. Seeking him, she follows his figure inside, where the dream becomes a nightmare. Waking up gasping from a frightening encounter, in which she was touched by a female ghost covered in tattoos, Rei notices a mysterious bruise appear on her body, which begins to spread the more she dreams to form a snake and holly tattoo, just like the one on the woman and some of the other ghosts. Gameplay: Gameplay is set in 3rd person view, first person is optional but not recommended(It's kinda weird). You switch between the dream mansion and Rei's home. Exploring is a key part of this game, you'll have to go to one room to unlock another. The Camera Obscura can be used for more than battle, you'll need to use it to find secrets and move through out the game.Battle System: The Camera Obscura is your only weapon against the spirits trapped in the dream world. The difference from the other two games in the series is that the camera is set up differently (It's set on the triangle button) and seeing the spirits health is gone. You can find "Measure" but it's well hidden.Characters: Rei Kurosawa: A 23 year old freelance photographer (Main Character) lost her fiancé Yuu in a car accident, because of her driving.
Miku Hinasaki: Rei's assistant, heroine of the first Fatal Frame game.
Kei Amakura: A non-fiction writer and uncle of Mio and Mayu from Fatal Frame II, who was Yuu's friend and has not been informed of his death.Rating: 5/5 I love it, but I'm the kind of person that likes to be scared. You can really feel things build up in the game. (Then you start hearing sounds) The game does what it's meant to do, makes you feel like you surrounded by dead people. . . and it has the creepiest little girls out of all the Fatal Frame games, and a stroller grandma. eek Download/Preview: Game Trailer

Ok, I played Clocktower 3 and here's my review of it. Just remember that this is my opinion of it...
Developer(s) Sunsoft Publisher(s) Capcom Platform(s) PlayStation 2 Release date(s)
* JP December 12, 2002 * NA March 18, 2003 * EU October 10, 2003
Genre(s) Survival Horror Mode(s) Single player Rating(s) ESRB: M (Mature)
Players assume the role of Alyssa, a schoolgirl approaching her 15th birthday, on her quest to find her mother and save herself from the Subordinates (the boss characters). Progress through the game entails finding items to unlock new areas, fleeing and hiding from Subordinates and eventually defeating each Subordinate in battle.
Innocents slain by the Subordinates haunt each stage and will attack Alyssa if she approaches them, sending her into panic. In order to pacify these spirits, an item of sentimental value must be found and returned to the spirit's corpse, which always lies near the area being haunted.
After each scenario, Alyssa must confront the subordinate who has been stalking her. At this point her holy water bottle transforms into a longbow, allowing her to fight back. Each battle is confined to a single area, and the player must defeat the subordinate in order to progress. The health of both Alyssa and the subordinate is measured by two life bars which appear on-screen. Alyssa must dodge or duck attacks whilst firing arrows at her attacker. In order to inflict considerable damage, shots must be powered-up. These shots tether the subordinate to the ground. Whilst powering-up the shot, Alyssa must stand still and cannot adjust her aim, leaving her vulnerable to attacks and making it possible for her enemy to move out of her line of sight. If the boss is transfixed with multiple powered-up shots, Alyssa performs a highly damaging attack with her next shot, killing or severely wounding the subordinate. Ok, First off, The only weapon you have at your disposal(except for when battling subordinates and eventually her Grandfather) is holy water. In the "Boss" battles, the Holy Water bottle turns into a longbow. ????????? This is real scary.....notice the sarcasm. This has got to be 1 of the most pointless games I have ever played. Using the longbow was too difficult because you can't aim the dern thing. You have to wait until the boss is right in front of you. Secondly, in my opinion, the whole gameplay design is horrible. I had a bad time with maneuvering throughout the game.
Long story short, I give this one a 1. Thanks and have a nice day

~DUAL REVIEW TIME~ Game: Haunting Ground (or also known as "Demento") Developer (publisher in this case): Capcom Rating: M
.::Story::. You are Fiona Belli, an 18-year old college student. Her parents died in a car accident, and you are now trapped in a castle... YOUR castle. Your "mission" is to escape the castle. However, there are a few "friends" preventing your escape.
.::Characters::. (Copied from Wikipedia) The player-character and protagonist of Haunting Ground is eighteen-year-old Fiona Belli, who before the start of the game was involved in a car accident that killed her parents. Although Fiona is not very athletic, she makes up for this with her quick mind. She rescues and befriends a white German Shepherd named Hewie. Throughout her exploration of the castle, she encounters several characters: Debilitas, a large, mentally disabled man who works as the gardener for the castle; Daniella, an homunculus unable to taste, feel pain or pleasure who cooks and does the household work around the castle; Riccardo, the castle's groundskeeper; and Lorenzo Aureolus Belli, who does everything in his power to help Fiona.
.::Gameplay::. (Copied from Wikipedia) Fiona, the player-character, must be guided through Belli Castle, its grounds and outbuildings until she can find a way to escape. Along the way, players must solve puzzles, unlock doors and evade, hide or attempt to fight back against the castle's inhabitants. Fiona is accompanied by Hewie, a white German Shepherd dog. The two must work as a team to solve certain puzzles and outwit their pursuers.
During the game, the castle's inhabitants chase and attack Fiona, and if evaded long enough will cease for a set interval. While it is possible to retaliate with kicks, Hewie's bites, or alchemically created weapons, the game's focus is on the player evading enemies long enough to find a hiding spot. The castle's staff chase Fiona individually until defeated in a boss battle, after which a different enemy will pursue Fiona. Two enemies exist in addition to the castle's keepers, neither are dangerous to Fiona but can alert Fiona's pursuers to her location and cause panic. The first are small floating orbs of blue light known as Luminescents, which follow Fiona and emit a loud noise if they come into contact with her. The other enemy type are small grotesque, fetus resembling homunculi, who attach themselves to Fiona's legs while letting out a piercing yell.
Hewie joins Fiona early in the game, following different player-issued commands to perform actions like barking or growling when he detects a trap or threat. He can be commanded to stay, follow, attack, fetch and to shake hands. In order to maintain a good relationship with her new companion, Fiona must issue commands to Hewie, praising or scolding him depending on whether or not he obeys. Praising or healing him when he becomes injured also maintains his interest. Hewie will ignore Fiona's commands and wander off if not given enough attention, and if he is repeatedly mistreated he may even attack her. On the normal difficulty setting, Hewie can be knocked unconscious from sustaining too many injuries but can be revived. On the hard difficulty setting, he is slain after receiving the same level of injuries, causing the game to end.
When faced with certain scripted events or prolonged enemy attacks and chases, Fiona becomes fearful. If allowed to remain fearful for too long she will enter panic mode and run. Panic mode causes blurriness of the screen, saturation of the surroundings and a freeze-frame effect, and the control pad vibrates in time with Fiona's heartbeat. The player is unable to stop Fiona running and must try to prevent her from running into walls and objects. Running into scenery causes her to collapse and crawl away; at this point further damage will kill her. Hewie can only be called for help during panic mode, encouraging him to attack any pursuer and prevent Fiona from being killed. If enemies are avoided long enough panic mode ends.
.::Voice-acting::. Since the game takes place in London, England, everyone has English accents. I, personally, loved the voices.
.::Music::. Music is a key element of the game, in my opinion. The music is like your only way of telling if a pursuer is going to come after you, besides your companion, Hewie's, growling. Also, the music really does give you an adrenaline rush.
.::Final Rating::. I give this game a 5/5. Honestly. Even those it's like Clock Tower 3, it's absolutely amazing. I admit, if it weren't for one of my friend's on DeviantArt's knowledge of this game, I would've never played it. I'm glad I did. Game: Fatal Frame (1) Developer (publisher in this case): Tecmo Rating: T
.::Story::. Nine days have passed since Mafuyu, brother of Miku Hinasaki, had disappeared.
It all began about a month ago.
The media reported that the famous novelist Junsei Takamine disappeared while gathering research for an upcoming novel. Mafuyu, an aspiring journalist, suspected that something was wrong. Why would his mentor simply vanish into thin air? Mafuyu decided to conduct a private search for his friend, with the investigation eventually leading to the grounds of a secluded mansion. The Himuro Mansion stands silent and imposing deep within the forest. It's said that years ago the mansion belonged to a powerful landowner who had absolute control over the area. But now it's a shadow of its former self, dilapidated and desolate...
As Mafuyu searched the mansion, he found scraps of paper left by Junsei and his staff throughout the mansion. The writings recounted a number of ominous events that happened in the mansion's dark past. Eager to find additional clues within the mansion, Mafuyu rushed in and suddenly realized that he wasn't alone...
Miku came to the Himuro mansion in search of her missing brother. But she had no idea what she was getting into...
---Opening from the manual
.::Gameplay::. You play as 17-year-old Miku Hinasaki. Your only way of fighting the ghosts is with a special camera, called the Camera Obscura. As you take pictures, you get points, and as you find items, there will be things called Spirit Stones, which allow you to upgrade the RANGE, MAX LEVEL, and SPEED for your camera, and with enough points, you can purchase a special ability, like SEE, PARALYZE, PRESSURE, SEARCH, and SLOW... You can try to run away from the ghosts, but you'll be trapped in the room you're currently in since their ghostly energy is preventing your escape.
.::Voice-acting::. The voice-acting is terrible, in my opinion. Seriously. Miku and Mafuyu don't sound right in the head... and Kirie sounds a little "stale".
.::Music::. There is no music. Only environmental sounds.
.::Ending Rating::. I give this a 4/5. I admit, I actually got scared, screamed and/or jumped several times. This game loves to get its ghosts right up in your face... especially the ghost, Broken Neck. I recommend you play this game in the dark and alone, like I did.

Plot
Jennifer Willis is to have a interview with Dr. Henry West M.D., professor of necrobiology, at his house. Her boyfriend, Rick Taylor, comes along so nothing bad happens. Just as Rick is about to propose to Jennifer, the two are attacked by Dr. West's experiments, kidnapping Jennifer and leaving Rick mortally wounded. Rick knocks over a sarcophagus revealing a mask. Close to death, the Terror Mask calls out to Rick, saying it will save him and help save Jenny if he puts it on. Having no choice, Rick puts the mask on and is transformed into a hulking beast powered by the blood of others.
Rick follows Dr. West and Jennifer through other dimensions and time periods and learns of Dr. West's plan to bring dark deities, known as "The Corrupted", into this world by sacrificing Jennifer. Dr. West believes The Corrupted will resurrect his dead love Leonora, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Jennifer. The Corrupted intended to lay waste to Earth instead. It is revealed Rick was the one who supposedly killed Leonora, according to Dr. West, who witnessed it. In truth, she was burnt in a wicker man by a witch hunting mob, who were possessed by demons. In an attempt to save Leonora, thinking she was Jennifer, Rick was attacked by her reanimated corpse, forcing him to kill her.
Controls:SImple and easy to figure out.
Voice: Acting was good enough.
Music:Good
Overall: A very fun game. For me it gets at least 4.5/5
Other: How to sum this game up...blood. Gore. Gaint weapons. Innapporpite pics to find. Funny jokes. Grapichs of pretty much Boarderlands bu that was good game.
