Nara checked the map once more before closing her eyes. "Seems like it's right," she said quietly to the hooded man behind her.
The man gave a wordless assent, dropping a gloved hand onto Nara's shoulder for a brief squeeze. Nara's hand drifted up to pat his for a brief pat.
"Your right," the woman said, sucking her breath in with resolve. "We've had a nice break but it's back to work." Shaking free of her partner's hand the woman headed up to a small house in the middle of Barton. Taking another deep breath the woman reached out and rang the doorbell.
Iian trailed along behind Nara, silent as always.

Namue was presently in the kitchen, working on lunch, so the door was gotten by her elderly grandmother. The old woman smiled brightly at Nara as she looked out at her.
"Good day, child." she said softly, voice crackly with age.

Nara pasted a smile onto her face, something professional and friendly at the same time.
"Good afternoon M'am. I'm Nara from the Gaian branch of the Royal Library of Alexandria. We've recently received information about a possibly historically significant scroll in the vicinity and were wondering if you might know anything about it?" Nara pressed her hands tightly to her side, every sense telling her that it was somewhere inside that house. However, she had learned that it did not do to tell someone that a mysterious sense told her that they had a scroll with unknown qualities about it. Some had turned around and sold them to the highest bidder and it became even more of hassle to track the scroll after that.

Ama smiled and nodded. "We sent away to many libraries about my collection. I got it after my husband died." the woman said proudly, walking into the house and leaving the door open so Nara could follow. "You must ask my granddaughter if you have one you really want though. She keeps track of all of them." the old lady told her, pointing to the kitchen.

"Of course. I'm glad we got the right house," Nara replied politely, ignoring the soft snort from behind her. Making her way to the kitchen Nara knocked on the door frame, announcing her presence. "Excuse me, I'm from the library here about a scroll?" the woman asked as she continued on into the kitchen.
Iian followed silently behind her.

Namue looked up from where she'd just finished making lunch. "Yes! Yes, just a moment please." the woman said carefully, washing and drying her hands before showing Nara to another room.
"I found it the other day hidden in a tome." she explained, pulling out the drawer on her work desk and removing the scroll. "From what I gathered it was a rather old lewd story, which I have no idea if it would be of any value for a museum but it certainly is interesting." the woman showed Nara the item carefully, just barely touching it.

The pair followed Namue into the other room. As the woman pulled a scroll out from the desk, Nara suddenly backpedaled. One hand unconsciously darted up to scratch incessantly at her arm, raising red welts.
"I see," Nara's voice was strained as Iian surreptitiously supported her from behind. "Do you mind setting it on a table somewhere with some good light?"

Namue nodded, carefully carrying the item over to the kitchen table, which had a good deal of light on it from the windows and head light. "Is this good?"
She glanced up at Nara, looking confused. "Are you all right? You seem off Miss."

As Namue passed by with the scroll, the woman quickly skittered out of the way careful to give them a large berth.
Nara and Iian followed her back into the kitchen. "I'm fine, I just get some allergies," Nara smiled, waving her hand at the woman. Stubbornly, Nara shoved her hands in her pockets and smiled at the woman.
Silently Iian moved around the table, lining himself up with Namue. Nara nodded to her partner and carefully positioned herself as well. As she stepped into place, Nara's hands burst into mist. The three of them formed an equilateral triangle around the scroll and the mist reached out to draw the lines between them. Each figure was soon encased in the glowing mist which thickened until it was impossible to see any further than a few inches.
A thud sounded somewhere in the center of the mist, and just as quickly as it appeared, the mist disappeared. Nara's hands reformed and she staggered. Dropping to her knees, the woman braced herself against the floor, struggling to catch her breath.
Sitting on the scroll was an sweet little boy with intense blue eyes.

Namue stared at them in confusion. "What on earth was that?" she inquired, walking over to pick up the boy and stare at Nara and Iian like they were crazy. That was so weird.

"A soul being released from a confinement that continued for far longer than it should have," Iian said softly as Nara continued to wheeze. His voice sounded a little off and stiff. Gently he helped Nara stand, supporting the shorter woman's weight with his own.

"Right." she said with a nod, bouncing the little boy a bit and shaking her head. "Hope you feel better miss. Have a good day." she'd have to find this kid a home.

Iian drew a card from Nara's pocket and placed it on the table with a nod before maneuvering the woman out of the house and back the library.
