I know this deck needs a little work, mainly in the Spells/Traps. I'm pretty much set on the monsters (though suggestions are welcome). Any help is appreciated. Thanks biggrin

armycat's is a great list, but if you like to go pure-warrior (like me), try replacing one Cunning with 2 copies of Solidarity to give the Samurais a nice ATK boost

Haha yeah I know how to run them, I've tried in the past with proxies and using 5D's DS game, but I want to make a good build so I can finally try it in real life.

why should i? armycat's list was the most solid (not dissing phoenix's of course). if you're such a smart one, then show your list and we'll compare it

Solidarity is terrible. There's much more dependable and sufficient support. In every scenario with the card, if you had just ran simple monster removal in its spot, you'd have a higher success for more damage.

Six Scrolls of the Samurai is horrible, even more so when Gateway can now get Great Shogun Shien. You only need two Great Shogun Shien, also.

If you're going to go ahead and play Threatening Roar, switch it with Waboku. It baits Kalut, Honest, and when you have Zanji on the offensive you still get to destroy the monster.

Torrential Tribute, Mirror Force, and Trap Dustshoot are still all staple.

Thanks for the help. I was going to run TT, MF, and Dustshoot but I didn't have room. And I'm taking out Solidarity because Gateway can give them a boost. I agree with you on everything except Six Scrolls, cuz it can go for game sometimes.
