Can I ask what you used for a base, visor, and to hold it in place?

For Guy-Man's helmet the base is just cardboard held together with plaster. The viser is plexiglass held in with hot glue :P

It actually wasn't. The visor was soo annoying and difficult. Thomas's helmet is pretty easy though.

It looks more like a mask with a head wrap of some kind.

@Lemon: I don't even know what plaster is or where to find it. We've got a Lowe's and a Michael's. Not much else.

You should be able to get plaster at michaels.
and the helmet only covers the top of the head.
My version would be modified...
I'll be sewing a balaclava to it.

You can find bondo at an auto-mechanics store or probably Lowe's. Bondo is a thick play-doh like goop that will dry rock hard.

@Erekayu: I'll have to ask someone. I went yesterday and found some materials I could dismember and use. I've had to spend about $300 on a trip to the clinic and a dress for the prom and tomorrow I have to replace my windshield so I'm holding back for now.

@Lemon: Not quite rock hard. I applied some to a baseball helmet when I had a go at Thomas and there are a lot of noticeable cracks.
