4 had been walking around the city for a long time now. She was very lost and wasn't sure where to go. She was starting to hyperventilate and get dizzy from wandering back and fourth. She had almost run into several things, and had taken into an ally to get away from the humans who kept trying to catch her. She was behind a clock repair shop and she was sitting in a box of scrap, looking at the things trying to calm down. She shook in fear and she tried to draw something....but she was scared and just kept drawing monsters made of the scrap she was finding. She had found alot of small batteries for her flash light and some more paper. She pulled her drawing book close to her chest and hid in her sweater from it all, she made a silent sigh and looked around wondering what she was to do now. She tilted her head on her knees, book at her chest, and watched for something or some other cat to come by who might help her get home....or find a home.

Deucalion had called for a scavenge run in order to pick up some needed pieces and parts for the shop. Things were starting to get a little low in a few things. While it wasn't one hundred percent essential, the tom preferred to be covered just in case they should need the particular item that they were low in or out of. Now, they meaning himself and Yami, seeing as they were living together and what not. His sleeves were rolled up past his elbows and he was going to and fro collecting, inspecting, and pocketing those things that seemed like they would be vital. Moving down the alley behind one of his favorite shops, the clock repair shop, to investigate if there were any treasures hidden in the scraps that the store owners put out behind their store. Making sure he had plenty of room to slip things into various pockets to abscond with. The Selkirk drew nearer to a particularly promising looking box of scrap and jumped a bit startled, nearly dropping a mostly intact clock at finding a cat huddled in said box. "Oh, I didn't-" He paused noting her shaking, his brows furrowing slightly. "Are you alright?"
[A piece of firewood was dropped on the router and I'm currently piggy backing a signal off of the neighbors, so I may be scarce for a few days. Dunno. I hope not long. xo ]

(Oh noes thats not good! i hope its not too long <3)
4 shook as she scooted back in the box at the sudden face that came over the edge of the box she was in and covered her face with her book and tried to scoot out the other side but got caught in some wire that was in the box. It was tangled in her tail fur and around her ankle. She squirmed silently as she tried to get it out. Her heart raced and she fought off the wire hoping to get away before she was hurt again. She had heard him ask if she was alright but her flight instinct was so huge she couldn't help but try to get away. She was almost over the box and had the wire almost free when the other cat he was with appeared at her side.
Yami had been just a little behind Deu while he went down the ally, she had found a few partial watches and a small radio and a speaker that looked promising. She lifted her head, her ears coming forward as she heard him say something and heard what sounded like a cat stuck in a box. She set the things she had down and hurried over and looked around him, to see a scared cat in a sweater trying to escape some wire around her tail and leg. She pulled out her wire cutters and came around the box as the scared kid came over it. She caught the female, who was alot smaller then Yami was, and held her. "Shhh hun don't worry. We mean no harm." she said with a smile as she held her and reached down with her wire cutters and removed the last bit that was tangled in her tail. The wire fell away, and the back of Yami's mind noted that there was enough left for them to use. She smiled at her and set her down, making sure her book was ok. "Its ok. Do you need help?" She asked with a small smile trying to make the poor girl feel better.

[Moar signal thieving! >D ninja Bought a new router but it doesn't seem to be picking up the cable signal so the cable company will be called. >.<]
Deu blinked a little taken aback as the small girl hid behind her book and retreated, or at least tried to, to the other side of the box. She had gotten tangled on some wire within the box. He flicked his ears and looked to Yami who had come over, with no little sense of relief. "Am I that scary?" He mouthed silently to her. His curly red gold hair was loose for once but it was being kept in check by his goggles which were around his head like a head band instead of their normal place dangling around his neck. Couldn't have his locks getting in his face when browsing around for things that could be of use. No, that wouldn't do at all.
He could obviously tell the girl was distressed. Slipping the portion of a clock into the top of his vest, the tom slouched a bit to lessen his height a bit, hopefully, to make himself seem like less of a threat. Deucalion didn't normally slouch, preferring good posture over none, but the book bearing cat just seemed so scared. He smiled kindly to the unfamiliar feline and angle his head after looking up and down the alley way. There was no strong smell of dogs, nor non-territory cats, just a bit of human and the various trashcans and such things around. "No need to be afraid. She and I live around here. My name is Deucalion, or Deu, this is Yami. Are you lost or hurt, maybe?" The Selkirk tom couldn't help but glance down at the wire, noting like Yami, that it was salvageable. He shook his head to return his attention to the girls. "Hmm. Maybe we should take her to the shop and getting something to drink or eat. Or a blanket to wrap around her shoulders." He looked to Yami with faintly furrowed brows, looking for either her agreeing or perhaps another answer. He wouldn't feel right if they just left the poor thing to continue their hunting. The discarded stuff wasn't going anywhere, and if the garbage truck did come around, they would only have to wait for a few days before more stuff would take its place.

4 looked at the female who she now was wrapped around. She wiggled trying to get out but the female was quite a bit stronger then she looked. It didn't help that 4 was pretty weak cause she didn't eat very regularly, being a bad hunter. She looked at the male and then at the ground as she clung to the female and her book. She opened it a little and showed him the picture of the human with the scalpel and mask on. On the same page was her sketch of herself with an X over her mouth to show she couldn't talk. She flushed as she looked at the female and looked at the ground and then at her, hoping she could be put down now. She understood they didn't want to hurt her and wasn't going to run now. She shook a little still at the fact that she was making them worry though.
Yami looked at Deu and smiled as he got down to a lower level. She smiled at him and then looked down at the girl. She looked at the sketch and frowned. "Did humans hurt you? You cant talk now?" she asked. She set the girl down as she looked at the ground and brushed some dust off her that the female had left on her. "What is your name miss? Would you like to come back with us to get some food and water? We'll make it safe for you." She said with a smile as she looked at Deu. He was so nice to allow someone to come with him to his work shop, even though he wanted it to be privet from others.

Deu pushed his glasses up his nose to skim over the girl's drawing when she opened up her book. His expression went from kindly and hopefully reassuring to a serious frown, brows knit low on his forehead, as he took in the details, his ears drawing back slightly. Humans had hurt this little gal and she wasn't able to speak. Some doctor or surgeon. The tom curled and uncurled his hands in order to keep himself from growling, his tail lashing angrily behind him at the cruelty humans could exhibit. He took a deep, sighing breath to keep himself from getting too worked up and smiled again, his bright green eyes softening a degree as he reached out slowly and set a hand on her head when Yami set her down. "Would you like to come with us? We'll get you fed and taken care of. You look like you are in need of a little TLC. I ask because I don't want us to seem like some fairytale witches, scouring the area for things to bring back and fatten up for later. That's just silly." He offered a bit of a chuckle, hopefully to lighten the mood, namely his own.

4 nodded to them and looked at Deu as he talked about a fairytail. She frowned and opend a new page and drew a tail with fairy wings not knowing what a fairy tail was. She tried to think of a way to tell them that she had no voice cause of her mother was her fathers sister so she was inbred, making her small, with bad eyes and no voice. She had been hurt by humans, which is why she was so scared of everyone at first. She looked around and nodded wanting to go with them. food sounded good and someplace warm would be nice. She smiled at them softly and hoped she wouldn't be putting them out too much.
Yami felt her self bristle with rage as she told them this in her own special way. She growled and turned away and punched the box behind her. She hated humans. With their fire and sharp things. Making a poor girl like this was horrible. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down before she looked at the girl. she took the poor things arm and smiled. "Please come with us." she looked at the drawing of the tail with wings and laughed. "Deu do you know how to explain this one? I don't know much about fairy tails either. My humans weren't that good at talking to me and i wasn't around when they were little." She said with a smile.

The tom gave a soft sigh as Yami turned to punch the box. He felt her anger. He hated those human who burned, hurt, destroyed, but he hated them all as a species. No, there were a few good and interesting ones. Deucalion looked at the girl's literal drawing of a fairy tail and laughed a bit, nodding at Yami's question. "You're quite handy with that. I'd like to see some of your drawings after we get you settled, if you're okay with sharing. And yes, I can go into detail about what a fairytale is. A fairytale could be thought of in a few ways. One is a story about fairies told to amuse youngsters and another is an interesting but wildly implausible tale. Sometimes there is a moral to the story or not. Also, sometimes lies can be called fairy tales. Stories told as an excuse." He nodded. "Yep. Those are what fairy tales could be." Deu walked along the girl's opposite side, his hand resting on her shoulder. Due to the various items in his many pockets, he sort of jingled, rattled, and clanked along softly, which brought a bit of a grin to his face as he looked over to Yami. Even though the scavenger hunt had been cut short, it still had been a fruitful one. He then looked down to the girl with a smile. "Can you draw out your name, maybe? It'd be nice to know what to call you."

4 looked at them as they walked and thought about fairy's. She smiled a little, those sounded nice. She would have to look into that and learn how to draw one. She looked at him as he asked for a name. She nodded and drew a 4 on the paper. She smiled up at him softly and looked at Yami again. She liked Yami's hair, it was big and pretty. And Deu's had nice curls and pretty colors. She would have to draw them soon. She looked around as they walked out and wondered where they were going. She snuggled into Yami's arm glad to have some more nice people to help her.
Yami smiled over at Deu's answer to what a fairy tail was. She snuggled back against 4's hoodie at her shoulder and smiled. "Well its nice to meet you 4! I'm glad you warmed up really fast. I was worried we would have to chase you." she said with a smile as they walked back towards the aquarium. She smiled up at Deu, "Would you like to do the fishng or shall i?" she asked as she looked over Deu. She kept feeling her self getting closer to him, but he didn't seem to notice it...maybe one day soon he would tell that she liked him but till then she would enjoy this closeness.

Deu smiled as the girl, 4, drew her name on her paper. He dipped his head in greeting. "Well met, 4. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I hope you don't mind a bit of clutter. The shop is in relatively decent condition. Yami and I have been organizing and straightening lately." He nodded brightly, several stray ringlets bobbing along too. The tom looked from the younger she-cat to Yami with a bit of a smile at her question. "I have no preference. I can if you don't want to. I'll just have to empty my clothes of everything first." To add to his statement, he put a little hop in a couple of his steps to really clatter before returning to his usual gait, with a bit of a chuckle. Even though his main attention was on the path they were taking home, he could see in the periphery of his vision that Yami had looked over to him. She did that a lot, he noticed, but he didn't let on that he caught her. At first it made him a little uncomfortable, such keen female attention, but over time he grew to mind it less and less. If fact, he really did enjoy spending time with her and he didn't terribly mind her looks. If it were anyone else, he'd probably up and relocate, if truth be told. Their relationship wasn't quite like it was in the beginning. Then it had been mentor/pupil, now they were friends and, to the tom, felt evenly matched in the work they did, even in their off-hours dealings and interaction. He couldn't recall ever having anyone so close. Of course, he had devoted himself entirely to his work and learning as he grew up on the streets, but he supposed now that he was a bit older, he was letting himself relax and enjoy those special and rare things that came his way.

4 smiled at the thought of having fish. She couldn't swim at all so she never got to eat it inless someone else got it for her or she managed to snag some from the vendors. She laughed silently behind her hand as Deu jingled his pockets. She shook her head at him to let him know she didn't care if their place was a mess. She drew a happy face on her paper to show she was excited, and then even gave it wings as well. She was looking forward to being inside someplace nice again.
Yami smiled to her self as he jingled and laughed a little. "Ok you can go. I'll put all the stuff away, since i'm a little better at all the organizing. It will also let me have some alone time with 4 to clean up her clothes and face a little. Shes a little dirty and could use a good brush." she said as she pushed some hair out of 4's face. "Would you be ok with that 4?" she asked with a smile. the liked helping others, and she knew Deu was so nice at heart that he did too. She glanced at him again and smiled as her heart fluttered happily. She was glad that he had warmed up to her, though she was still hoping that he would notice her attention's in other ways soon and let her in as more then a friend.

Deu smiled at 4's silent laugh and smiley face drawing, looking to Yami as if half surprised that he was doing so well with a youngster they had just met. He was a friendly thing, but he didn't have much experience with small ones. Maybe it was a natural gift thing? He chuckled and shifted his attention to the smaller cat between them, tousling her hair gently before smoothing it again as Yami brushed a strand of hair away from 4's face.
The tom again looked to his companion, this time with a nod. "Sure. Heh, you're right there. Dunno what I'd do with out you now." Deucalion looked ahead to the place where the entrance to his shop waited. "I'll be sure to get enough for all of us. What we don't finish off, we can dry it for some other time." Once they drew closer, he jogged to the small window that lead into the shop, propped it open, and slipped in to be able to help the girls in. His curly coated tail swished pleasantly behind him as he extended a hand and smiled. "Ladies..."

4 smiled again at Yami and Deu as they walked. She looked over her short hair with her different collar bangs(But beige bangs and white hair) and noted a few mats that she could see even with the hood on. 4 blushed and nodded that it would be ok to clean her up a little, and brush out her hair. She had been run out of her tree that the nice man Lorne had helped her find. That was the only place that John and Ruki knew she lived in too...what if they worried about her? She would have to find them soon and tell them she was ok again. She looked up at Deu as he opened the small window and laughed again behind her hand as she blushed when he said Ladies. She reached out and took his hand and climbed in with his help. When she got inside the darkness she turned on her flashlight tapped to her eyeglass's so she could see in the dark.
Yami watched the female as they walk. Poor 4 looked very worried about something. She would get it out of her when they were cleaning, Deu didn't need to deal with the girly drama. She watched Deu pull her in and then took his hand to follow, she could do it just fine with out him but she wasn't going to say no to his help. She looked at Deu and winked. "You couldn't do anything with out me now, i'm every where. You would be lost with out me." she said with a smile as she pushed him and lead him towards the workshop as she took 4's hand and helped her along, noting with a smile the flashlight. Deucalion helped each of the girls in and closed the grate behind them. He chuckled at Yami's response and nodded deeply. "Of that I have no doubt. Probably up to my ears in half-rusty projects and mini-sculptures. You are that which keeps me going. Heheh." Looking to 4 as she clicked on her little flashlight, the tom beams. "Hey! Now that's the ticket. Nice thinking, 4." Sidling around to the front he made sure that he left the shop grate open and smiled down at the waiting table. Looking back to the girl as he shifted to ready himself to land on his feet, he spoke. "Hand 4 down to me. That may be a bit of a drop for such a small one. Wouldn't want to risk anything." With that, he disappeared into his shop and landing soundly on the table. Shaking himself, Deu rose and held up his arms. "I'm ready for you."

4 smiled at the male as he commented on her flash light. She smiled and nodded, loving her flash light. She tapped her glass's, hoping he knew she had horrid eyesight and had found these glass's when she escaped so she could see. She followed him through the tunnels till they got to the entrance and the drop. She looked down at it and nodded, she wasn't great at landing. She looked at Yami and then tossed down her sketch book for Deu and then turned so that Yami could pass her down through the hole.
Yami smiled at Deu as he commented on how she was important to his neatness and his work load. She smiled happy to be feeling so needed. She wanted to hug him so bad, she was so happy about his feelings for her, though she wanted more from them. She turned to see him go into the workshop and watched 4 toss down her book. She nodded and reached out for 4 and took her hands. She stepped over the door way and lifted 4, who was very light, and lowered her through the hole towards Deu so she didn't get hurt.
