The cave's IP address has changed. Depending on your ISP, it may be a few hours before the dragcave.net domain starts pointing to the new address (If the ISP is competent, it should take at most 30 minutes).

Dovealove has decided not to leave DC, although she is remaining retired from working on sprites and requests. She says she is very sorry for the trouble she's caused, and hopes that the end result of all this strife is a brighter beginning.

Old Valentine's Dragon Breeding: February 8-15 (See the calendar if you aren't sure what that means)
Valentine's Day Event: February 14th (All Day)

2-dragon limit is in place for both breeds

Balancing
The breed balancing system has been tweaked to give more priority to recent dragons. This should have the effect of making the system "forget" about huge imbalances eventually rather than stubbornly trying to correct them for months (against the wishes of the users.)

Forum 500-Internal-Server-Error Errors
Hopefully have been fixed.

Incoming Updates
There are some incoming updates (hopefully sometime this week). The list of changes includes:
Dimorphism (different male/female sprites) for a wider variety of dragons.
A secret new BSA
A change in the "minimum hatching/maturing" time limit from random 3-4 days to just 3 days (A.K.A. higher turnaround.)
Mod Mayhem
The next dragon release (Codename: Mod Mayhem) will be hitting DC in the next two weeks. Brace yourselves and cue speculation.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Save the Commons - A DC Forum project where certain common dragons are picked up off the AP, and frozen as hatchlings, or unbred as adults. The number of frozen common hatchlings and/or unbred adults you have gets a type of rarer dragon bred for you. For 35 frozen common hatchlings and/or unbred adults, you get a gold egg, and so forth ^^

The dragons that count as commons are these:

Balloon
Frill
Grey
Green/Pebble
Magi
Mint
New Pink
Purple

The current numbers of commons you need for a rare are these:

Geode: 4
Split: 5
Stripe (random colour): 6
Stripe (requested colour): 7
Ice: 15
Thunder: 15
Magma: 15
Vampire: 20
Silver: 25
Gold: 35

Eggy Giveaway - drawing every 3rd day at 6pm CST. I am signed up as a receiver, as well as a donater, of eggs.

Wilderness Watchers - Pick a set of wilderness dragons and check on them weekly to see if they have laid any new eggs.

Adoption Day Project - First Saturday or Sunday of each month, adopt eggs from the AP from the upper or lower RIGHT corner. Don't refresh to get certain eggs, just adopt the first you see in one of those spots.

Lineage Projects

Just a couple Lineage Projects that I'm in. If anyone else is in one, please post it, and I'll get the info posted here.

JusticarsChampagne is currently in these lineage projects:

1- Tethered Lineage - a line of Skywings, whites or golds, all with the word "Tethered" in their names. Starting pair should be CB, but can be 2nd or 3rd gen as long as dragons ONLY have the three mentioned breeds as parents and grandparents.



2- Celtic Blue Lineage - a line of Nocturne, Guardian, Stone, and Geode dragons, all with the word "Celtic" in their names. Starting pairs SHOULD be CB (except geodes, but they should ONLY be from Stone parents)



3- Rose Clan - no specific breed, but all dragons in this lineage go back to a series of dragons with the word "Rose" at the end of their names.

4- CAPTCHA Lineage - any dragon can be a CAPTCHA dragon. Rules are that you must name the dragon with "CAPTCHA, CAP, CAPT, 'CHA" and the two word CAPTCHA you type in to log into DC. If the length does not fit, you can refresh the CAPTCHA to get one that does. If you have more than one egg that has hatched, you can refresh the CAPTCHA. Otherwise, don't refresh.

5- ASPCA Guardian Angel Lineage - a line of Magi, Snow Angels, Silvers, Albinos, White, Un/Alt Black, White Stripes, and Guardian dragons, all female offspring must use Angel somewhere in the name and all male offspring must use Guardian somewhere in the name. (can use Guardian and Angel if starting pair(s) are CB, or gifted 2nd/3rd gen)



6- Silent Witness Lineage - a line of Blacks, Nocturnes, Purples, Pinks, '09 Valentines and White dragons. All dragons have Silent Witness in their names. (Starter pairs should preferably be CB, but can be 2nd or 3rd gen as long as parents are from lineage breed dragons)
