An average training field surrounded by trees, with sparse grass and a few rocks dotting the ground. An ideal location for a friendly training session!
Kazuki Hinata, Vice-Captain of the Thirteenth Division strolled into the training grounds, where she was to meet Evil-Taicho for her training in Flash Step. Having never properly met the Captain-Commander before, she felt unusually bouncy and excited.
"Hehehe... She could probably eat you in one bite." As usual, her zanpaktou, Harikaze (whom she had even considered leaving behind) took it upon herself to burst the shinigami's happy bubble as soon as possible. Hinata scowled slightly, but otherwise took no notice. She found a large rock, and perching herself upon it, settled to wait for Evil's appearance.

 ~* Evil Wolf*~After a few moments, the sound of wind rustling through robes could be heard. It appeared as if Evil had finally arrived but...Wasn't currently walking. She was stooped over to examine an especially interesting rock at the edge of the training field. She picked it up and held it up to the light, watching the light cast a rainbow on the ground. She grinned, then put it in one of the many folds of her Captain's robes. She hurried over to where she saw her newest trainee was waiting for her, Mock's Vice Captain to be precise. She pulled up abruptly a few feet from her and smiled. "Hello there! It's a nice day for Shunpo Training isn't it?" She asked cheerfully, her golden eyes glittering in good humor. ~*Commander-General of the Sereitei, Captain of Squad 10*~

"Commander-General!" Hinata exclaimed, turning and saluting cheerily. "Yep, certainly is. I should introduce myself properly- Kazuki Hinata, 13th Division's new Vice-Captain." She leapt daintily off her rock, before sinking into a respectful bow- a habit picked up from her days living in her aristocratic family.
Resurfacing with her messy mop of hair all over her face, she promptly retrieved two throwing stars from within her robes, and pinned it into pigtails.
"Hmm... So how does this shunpo training work?" she asked, tugging on some arm-bandages that were supposed to prevent dislocation.

~* Evil Wolf*~ Evil looked a little amused with the bounciness of the 13th Squad Vice Captain, but didn't laugh. She had been similar when she'd been a Vice Captain herself, so she didn't mind. "Well, it's all about Reitsu control." She said, demonstrating by allowing a small whiff of her own orange-tinted reitsu appear in her hand. It floated a few inches from her palm, looking very similar to a large candle flame. She closed her hand and extinguished it, smiling wryly. ~*Commander-General of the Sereitei, Captain of Squad 10*~

"Reiatsu control? Doesn't sound... too much of a pain," Hinata said, frowning slightly. She drew a small amount of reiryoku into her hand, mimicking Evil's flame (her own being green), before turning it into a small sphere, then allowing it to dissipate.
She had never found it hard to manipulate her reiatsu, having been born with the ability to sense and hide it considerably; the only exception to this was kido, where she had to be stuck in a room to concentrate if she wanted to fire a decent spell. Lately, however, she had discovered that she simply had been trying too hard- channelling too much reiryoku for the elementary kido that she knew.
Anyhow, she had developed a way to get around the problem; instead of concentrating on the right spell, just use it as an outlet for energy. Henceforth, her kido spells had turned into huge beams of energy, or (on the other hand), huge explosions.
Cocking her head to the side, the girl raised her head to Evil again.
"I highly doubt it would be that easy, though," she commented.

~* Evil Wolf*~ "You have to focus it correctly though, on your feet." Evil said with a grin, then shunpo'd directly behind Hinata. "You have to be able to maintain it and use the exact right amount of power to propel yourself in the direction you need to go." She said, then shunpo'd back to her previous position, not looking in the least ruffled. She had never really minded teaching Shunpo to people. It was fairly easy to learn and required little to no fighting, which meant less carrying people to Squad Four's Healing Room for her. ~*Commander-General of the Sereitei, Captain of Squad 10*~

"Er, right, on my feet..." Hinata's voice trailed off slightly as she concentrated. Unfortunately, on her first attempt, she channelled too much energy through her feet, and when she moved, just ended up falling face-flat upon the rock that she had been sitting on previously.
"Wa- ouch!" She emerged, finger tracing the small cut on her forehead caused by the sharp rock, which gushed a ridiculous amount of blood. Pressing a band-aid to it exasperatedly, she tried again more cautiously. This time, she moved- but only by half a metre, and was so shocked that she tripped upon landing. Still, it was improvement, and something to concentrate on while her zanpaktou made snide remarks about how stupid she was.
After around ten minutes, the Vice Captain had managed to control her shunpo enough to travel two metres at a time, but this did not seem like a great achievement, especially in the view of Harikaze.
"Why did I have to be landed with such an idiot... Oh please, are you even trying? Put more effort into it..."
"How am I doing?" Hinata asked Evil-taicho, cutting her zanpaktou's ranting out of her consciousness.

~* Evil Wolf*~ Evil raised an eyebrow. "Very good actually." She chuckled, leaning against a tree and watching her carefully. "You're starting to get the hang of it, just keep practicing and regulate the Reitsu in your feet more evenly." She said, crossing her arms and continuing to watch beneath the shadow of the large tree, her golden eyes sparkling slightly as the light hit them. ~*Commander-General of the Sereitei, Captain of Squad 10*~

Hinata nodded, before bringing her concentration back to her shunpo.
"Move your feet around more, idiot." The female shinigami blocked out this comment, flash-stepping from the rock down to the ground without error.
"Balance, idiot." She wobbled precariously as she flash-stepped back onto the rock. The sensation of landing after the swift movement took a while to get used to, especially on uneven ground.
"Oi, are you even concentrating, idiot? Last time you did that, you ended up splayed against the ground!" Once again, she had put too much reiatsu into her legs as opposed to her feet, and subsequently stumbled. Fuming, she straightened for another attempt.
"More reiryoku, IDIOT!" At this, her patience snapped.
"I GET THE POINT! STOP SCREAMING!" Hinata exploded, a green flame of reiatsu erupting around her. Unfortunately, she had just been preparing for a flash-step, so her sudden peak in reiatsu caused her to shunpo across the field and onto a large tree.
"Oof!" Falling from its branches, she landed unceremoniously into (luckily) a soft patch of grass. As she got up, it took a while for her to realise what had just happened. She had moved- finally moved more than three metres. She congratulated herself mentally, before deflating at the thought that it had not been intentional. However, just to test it, she spied the rock that she had been standing next to, and focused her reiatsu on her feet.
She came within a few feet short, but it was massive improvement from her original state.
"See? I actually did you a favour," Harikaze said in an annoyingly superior tone.
"Oh, shut up," Hinata replied, going back to her practising.

((ugh...So sorry for my short posts...I'm just out of it today i suppose. >.< )) ~* Evil Wolf*~ Evil chuckled, still leaning against the tree. "Much better, you're starting to get it." (( No problem! Eh... You don't have to just stand there if it's boring, you're free to dump me here and I'll just... practise xP
Okay, I'm going to end it quickly- since there's no point me just doing post after post of practising. My RPC's a really quick learner anyway. ))
Within another fifteen minutes, Hinata could maintain her reiryoku for long enough to shunpo for a precise distance. Her speed also picked up alarmingly- though she did not notice until she tripped and her momentum carried her almost the distance she had just travelled. However, she was still having a problem aiming. After her fourth time crashing into the branch instead of landing on top of it, she was almost resigned to the fact that her navigation was just not as good as her speed.
"Oi, idiot! Don't give up so quickly! Do you want to be useless again? You've never had a problem with speed, so don't get so inflated over that! No matter how good your speed is, if you end up on the opposite side of the field, it's just a waste of your own energy!" Grudgingly, the Vice-Captain admitted her zanpaktou was right for once. Steeling herself, she swung herself onto the tree and decided to aim for a spindly branch on the next tree. If she missed, she fell- if she aimed correctly, she fell anyway because the branch was no-where near thick enough to support her weight. She focused on the image of the branch, before closing her eyes to concentrate, and flash-stepping off.
Salvation! She actually landed where she was supposed to on one leg- though her happiness was short-lived, as seconds later, she was falling through the air. Gathering her senses, she performed another flash-step in mid-air, ending up where she had started on top of the rock. From there, she shunpo-ed onto four different rocks in quick succession, then back near Evil.
"Phew!" Hinata realised she was flushed with the effort. "That was... tiring, but I got there in the end," she addressed the Commander-General brightly.

~* Evil Wolf*~ Evil grinned, pushing herself lightly off the tree to stand in front of Hinata. She clapped her on the shoulder, her golden eyes glittering brightly. "Congratulations, you've just learned Shunpo." She chuckled. ~*Commander-General of the Sereitei, Captain of Squad 10*~

"Thank you for helping out, Evil-Taicho! I'm sure you had better things to do than stand around while I warred with my zanpaktou, but, heh..." She smiled, bowing for a last time. "Well, I think we both need to be off. See you some time later!" And with this, she flash-stepped off.
Seconds later, there was a crash and what sounded like all the leaves on a tree falling out.
"Idiot."

~* Evil Wolf*~ "No, it was fine. It gave me a little chance to relax so it worked out good for me as well. I'm sure we'll see each other again." Evil said lightheartedly, smiling. She shook her head, laughing softly as Hinata left with a resounding crash. She looked at the quiet area one moment before exiting herself.
