I AM THE SKY GOD username: Kuro-Mizuki. pet name: Anhur (Egyptian for "Skybearer"). gender: Male. species: Tiger. domain: Sky main color/description: A light blue all over, with white fluffy clouds spread all over his body. There is a sun-shaped mark around his right eye. eyes: Left eye light blue, right eye yellow. edits: Small white wings, dangly sun-shaped earrings, smaller gold hoop earrings, a gold necklace with a sun pendant. refs: Coming soon~ comments: Whee~!
Prompt Reply:
Anhur was not happy.
"HERU!" he shouted, pacing along the icy, flat ground, his tail switching back and forth like a snake curling in the grass. "HERU!"
There was no answer.
A sigh of exasperation escaped the Sky God's throat, and he snapped his jaws, his teeth clicking together irritatedly.
Where the hell is my lazy assistant? he thought, his eyes flashing dangerously. He sat down, the ground cold and dead on the mountaintop. He didn't have time for this.
Anhur lay down, his head on his paws. The sky above his head was grey, muddled, curdled wisps of clouds drifting about aimlessly, without thought or purpose. He couldn't control them like he used to; the Cumulus clouds in particular were very stubborn. They had trouble following directions. The Nimbus were surprisingly docile, but then again, they were just crowd followers and tended to do whatever the Cumulus did.
"Your majesty!"
Panting and out of breath, a small, light blue tiger came loping up the side of the mountain, gasping like he had no air left in his lungs. He collapsed to the ground in front of Anhur, his forehead bent to his paws in a sort of bow. "Please, I beg your forgiveness! I was attending to the Ground Goddess! She had injured her leg trying to get rid of some rogue lions attacking one of her provinces!"
His tail flicking from side to side methodically like a metronome, Anhur sat back up with a growl of annoyance. His irritation at his assistant's tardiness made him give out a roar of impatience. Heru cowered back, flinching into a corner.
"Ya damn moron." Anhur growled. "I've been waiting for almost two hours. Everything shot to hell and back while you were gone."
"What...what is the problem, sire?" stammered the younger tiger. "I thought that Omari was taking care of the Cumulus problem."
"It's the Stratus clouds this time." Anhur snarled, sitting back on his haunches. "They've decided to form a sort of coalition with the Cirrus because they're irritated that I told them they couldn't storm until this coming Friday. Now they're rebelling by throwing hail at me."
As if on cue, a small piece of ice the size of a mid-sized seed pelted Anhur smack on the side of his head. He toppled over, and with an embarrassed, angry snarl, he leapt back up, roaring at the leader of the Stratus; a thick, white cloud the size of a small hill.
"Oh...goodness..." said Heru, looking flabbergasted. "Why did you tell them no storms until Friday? That's five days away. You know how the Stratus get, your majesty. They tend to be a bit...rebellious."
"Rebellious, my arse" mumbled Anhur, looking put out. "They're just being stubborn."
"FINE!" he yelled upwards, his loud voice echoing along the mountaintops and reverberating up towards the clouds all gathering above him. Another piece of hail the size of a small rock beaned him in the nose. "IF ALL YOU'RE GOING TO DO IS POUT, THEN YOU CAN STORM ALL YOU WANT. I DON'T CARE ANYMORE."
There was a small silence, then a rumbling thunder of approval as the Stratus agreed, moving back away from the Cirrus. Within seconds, Anhur was completely soaked to the bone, his fur wet as the rain poured down on them.
Silence. Then -
"Oh, well done, sire." Heru said sarcastically. "Really, very brilliant idea."
Anhur clicked his jaws again, glaring.
"Shut up, Heru. And go get me some dinner."

I AM THE SKY GOD username: pet name: Gagan (Heavenly Sky in Sanskirt) gender: Male (it has to be, right? xD) species: domain:main color/description: - Mane color = really light grey (almost white), and then the edges are someone grey’d to make the mane look like clouds. (mm.. ‘silver lining’ of the clouds c; ) - main body color is sky blue and light green (look at color ref) can also go to lighter and darker shades, making patterns of sunlight as well as stars (see ref; used black/white layers and changed opacity of the layers [black for stars, white for rays of the sun?]) - the sash part would be like the sunset /sunrise (from yellow, to orange, to red, to purple; colorist discretion on how that looks like c: ; see reference for color/fading) eyes: Golden orange/yellow like the sun (two toned would be nice <3) edits: - little wings made of clouds; really light blue (almost white) coloring with again, grey-ish edges (more of a grey-blue this time C; ) (I think it would look cute xD) - a dove perched on his head with a branch of leaves in its beak (see ref pic) - instead of the basic sash for the lion, it would be more like… an angelic sash, wrapping around the body (see ref pic for colors <3) - charm with the chinese symbol for ‘sky’ dangling (or attached; also colorist discretion) on the sash (see ref pic for the symbol; color would be a silver-ish white) refs: comments: I hope everything goes okay o3o; everything really is colorist discretion o: What I put is just a general outline on how I thought he’d look godly x3! The dove represents the freedom of the skies, how animals can freely fly through them. The reason for the green/branches with leaves is because the sky can also represent the circle of life (ei. The water cycle), so I thought it was nice to incorporate that. The main body is the normal color of the sky, with a bit (again) of the circle of life brought in, and I decided the sash would look nice being the setting/rising sun, another part of the sky. The Chinese symbol for sky is well… just a charm. Prompt Reply: Gagan was sitting on a little cloud, just watching the land under him. He was doing that for days on end. Nothing really happened up in the sky; the only thing that changes is the wind that blows the clouds over new lands. Bottom line… Gagan was bored. The only thing really keeping him company was Cheep [it’s the name of his dove friend x3]. Today, even Cheep was off somewhere… She flew off in the early morning for who knows what reason.
Suddenly, there was frantic chirping in the distance that sounded like his little friend. Gagan hopped on another moving cloud and floated toward the sound. While he was getting closer to the noise, he started to see an area that was recently hit by a hard storm. Some trees had been struck by lightning and had fallen. Gagan stood up as he approached the ground and hurried toward the chirps.
“Cheep,” he cried desperately. “Where are you, my little friend?”
A small tear rolled down his cheek when he saw his friend. Cheep had been flying through the forest looking for something when she was caught in the storm. One of the trees had fallen and, luckily, hadn’t crushed and killed her, but only landed on part of one wing. Gagan snuggled with his friend with his nose and then looked at the tree.
He was disappointed in himself. The storm was something that came from the sky, something that he should have some power over, but he didn’t. Gagan cried as he tried to move the tree off his friend. The storm started again and softened the earth. He fell in the mud while pushing, and he couldn’t get himself up again. Slowly, little by little, he started to grow increasingly depressed. He felt like he was falling… failing at what he was supposed to do.
Without notice, a storm cloud moved toward them with a slight gust of wind and blew the tree off of his friend.
“How in the world -- ”
“Don’t be sad about what you can’t control,” a voice said to him in his mind. “Accidents are a way of life. Your love for your friend will keep her by your side. Don’t ever lose hope.”
The storm cleared and put his little friend on his head. Gagan looked up while Cheep chirped at him. He was so happy that she was okay. But… He couldn’t forget that voice. Who was that? It brought him back to himself.
That storm cloud… That voice was what had saved him from falling apart. He had almost lost his only close friend, but the voice had kept him calm and saved his friend as well as himself. He looked up at the storm moving away. He learned something today.
A little cloud came down and picked up Gagan and Cheep. He put down Cheep again and bandaged her wing. Cheep thanked him with a small chirp.
“Never again will I give up. I will fight for others as well as myself.”

I AM THE SKY GOD username:Midnightangel2473 pet name:Caelum gender: Male species: Tiger domain: Sky main color/description: Light Blue body with puffy white or gray clouds and maybe either a rainbow or lighting (obviously blue w/rainbow, gray w/lightning c: ) one ear will be night sky with a moon and stars and other one with be normal sky with a sun eyes: One blue other gray edits: Small wings (cloud or angelic looking) and then a small pendant (star/mood/sun your choice) Maybe some bracelets and earrings too c: Also just a suggestion but could he be nestled on a cloud refs: May add c: comments: This is just an idea feel free to fool around with it Thats just general along the lines kinda thing <3
Prompt Reply:
The world below Caelum was so calm and peaceful he sat in the clouds with a sigh of relief. He noticed that the crops in the east were starting to wither, non the less from the birds. He sent a tiny cloud over to the crops and gave them a light sprinkle.
Tener come here please
Tener was none other then the Sky Gods rightful servent.
Yes my lord asked Tener giving a swift bow.
I fancy a nap keep the place in order will you
Yes sir my lord, as you wish
Caelum nestled in his cloud and began to drift asleep. Taner was watching the land below but soon drifted off to sleep. As Caelum slept he began to dream, the land, it was so hot. The sun began to scorch but Caelum couldn't seem to get his powers to work. He tried and tried creating more and more clouds but nothing seemed to work. He became very wrestles tossing and turning in his sleep not realizing it was only a dream.
Down below a little fox looked up. The sky was becoming darker and darker as the Sky God slept. The little fox hurried home to tell his mother. All across the land more and more clouds began to form.
Just then Taner began to stur. He awoke abruptly in a panic sensing something was wrong. He looked down onto the world only to see darkness all around.
He rushed over to Caelum shaking him vigorously
WAKE UP MY LORD THERE IS TROUBLE
Taner shouted but it was no use. Down below many creatures were trying to get the Gods attention. Just then Caelum woke up in a sweat
Whats going on He bellowed deeply but soon became aware as he saw all the clouds that had formed and all the creatures that were crying to him
Caelum dashed up from his cloud just as Tornados started whirling below
We have to stop this right away The Sky god grasped his pendant for luck and started disposing of the clouds one by one but there were so many.
The remaining clouds shook with fury and started to rain its wrath down below. There was only one cloud left and this one was bigger than Caelum had ever created before. This one didn't seem to want to disappear that easily but Caelum knew he had to try with every inch of his being. After putting up a fight he collapsed to the floor exhausted.
This wasn't like any normal cloud he had ever dealt with. Oh no this was something built up from all those times he didn't let it storm. Little ones became distressed when they weren't aloud outside so Caelum had kept all the storms build up inside him only to be released with his dream.
The cloud hissed loudly creating a strong wind that shook the trees. Thunder cracked loudly and creature fled to any place safe that they could find.
With one last try and every might he possibly had he forced the cloud down. It put up a great fight but was finally defeated. To make up for the mishap he made the sun shine brighter then ever. All happiness and joy was restored and... -------------------------- Wake up my lord
Huh questioned the God confusedly
You over slept and some of the clouds are getting restless
The God looked around at the clouds which seemed to be anxiously awaiting to release their rain upon the world. He then turned to Taner and gave a look of disgust. I just had the strangest dream that I dreamt a storm out of control but then I mightily defeated it. He sat up high and strong with a proud look on his face.
My lord that wasn't a dream, that happened last week so you made an agreement with the clouds that they could rain at least 3 times a week in the valley if they wouldn't try to destroy everything again
Oh He said sinking back in his cloud then proceeded to go back to sleep satisfied with his work.
More like God of sleep if you ask me Taner scoffed rolling his eyes.

I AM THE SKY GOD username: Trira pet name: Zenith (Means the "Highest Point" or, more generally, "Above".) gender: Male. (It's kind of implied. X3) species: Lion. (I was tempted to do a fox, but... >w< ) domain: Sky main color/description:
Base Fur: A light blue that ranges to near black/ dark blue near his paws. The tips of his paws are black. Markings: Similar to tiger stripes, but with darts of color instead. The light blue parts of the main fur would have streaks of dark blue and silver, and the farther down his paws, it would be slashes of gold and red for sunsets/sunrises. The tips of his paws would have darts of white, for stars. Mane: Light silver and white, with patches of gold. Think of sunlight filtering through clouds. Sash: Similar to a Nightmare Scarf in appearance and it's winding motion around the body, except it's colors are from black to dark blue, with jarred slashes of searing white. (Storms with lightning. X3)
eyes: His left eye is silver and his right is gold. They reflect his close friendships with the Moon Godess and the Sun God. edits:
Long feathered wings. (Some longer pinion feathers stick out toward the tips. See reference for idea of wing shape. ^^) At the base, they are white-ish to light blue like the fur, then follow the same color pattern as the fur, ranging to black. The darts of color follow suit also. (For simpilities sake, one wing could be folded up against the back, still visible but smaller, while the other is extended, or they could both be furled close to the body, so long as what they are is clear.) When light is filtered through the feathers, it leaves the distinct impression of a muted rainbow in the place of it's shadow. Such as when sunlight passes through stained glass, that's how these wings work.
As stated above the sash is jagged and twisted around his body like a Nightmare Scarf. This is to represent the harshness the sky can contain, such as lightning storms and all other disasters which can occur in the sky. It's to show that the sky isn't always a sparkly, pastel wonderland; that it can be pretty harsh up there.
refs:
Wing shape. (Not color.) Pretty much just lengthy like these examples. With longer pinion feathers. (Not color either.)
comments: I really liked the idea that the sky isn't always a peaceful, calm place, but is a serene, beautifully dangerous, unpredictable zone. It can be calm and kind, or raging and spiteful. I thought Zenith's appearance reflected both sides of the sky rather well. ^^;
Prompt Reply:
Zenith prowled across his cloudy Domain, still unused to the tempest's power he now controlled. It did explain things though, as Zenith had wondered so much about why he seemed so much more...unstable, then the others of his now adult age.
He paced, trying to convince himself that he could in fact pull of being this, this, well, powerful deity. So much had changed from when he had emerged from his routine world inside the marry-go-round. There it seemed he had control of his life, he understood exactly what was going on. Ironically, now as a living, powerful lion who could "Control his domain, the sky", he felt like he had no control at all.
"You can do this, Zenith. All you have to do is, well..." He looked around the huge clouds around him, so many he could hardly keep track of any of them. Not for the first time, he felt powerless and tiny compared to these monoliths. His voice came out a whisper. "Watch over everything."
The ruler of the sky reeled in a circle, to break his pacing. The clouds were all gently scooting past him toward their next destinations. He had been pacing on one, actually. His inky black paws were cushioned by this zephyr-pulled cloud, a near solid surface for him. Anyone else would have fallen though, unless allowed on by the Sky God himself. He sunk a little without meaning to, one paw impaling itself deep within the cloud.
Zenith unfurled his long, feathered wings for balance, then yanked his paw free of the restraining fluff. "Sorry." He murmured to the cloud, soothing it with his other paw. Distracted as he was, Zenith failed to notice one of the larger storm clouds, a menacing, beast of a cloud, slink away on a quick breeze. It was eager to free itself and unleash it's torrential rain and hurricane grade winds upon the earth.
Zenith's wings cast muted, soft rainbows on his steed as he shook them out a little to stretch them. It was then that he noticed the storm was gone. "Oh, oh no, no no, no..." he repeated quietly, franically casting his vision around to see if he could find the missing cloud. He couldn't.
As all of the other clouds were docile, fluffy sheep of clouds, he left a herding cloud, the one he'd just been riding, actually, to keep them moving in the right direction, and panickingly left to find the storm. Gliding on his long wings, he spotted a slight dark patch in his vision and soared after it.
It was the storm cloud all right, but it had done some major damage without his attendance to control it. "Stop! Leave this place be, and go back to the herd!" Zenith yelled at the dark cloud. It hesitated for a moment, as if to take in the last of the damage it had done to preserve the memory, then floated back toward where the Sky God had come from.
The clearing it had been above was practically ravanged past repair. What had once been a little brook was now a raging river, a upturned boulders, ruined fields. And it was all his fault. Zenith began to desend, and even worse, made out the frightened creatures who had been living there.
I'm so sorry, I'm so, so, sorry." He gasped out to creatures, know it was undeniably his fault this had happened. "Please, let me..." He didn't know what to say, turning his head with a sigh. Practically pleading, he asked the terrified animals, who seemed to almost flinch at his voice, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"
"Are, a-are you t-the...the Sky God...?" A quiet voice called out from the back after what seemed like a stretch of eternity. It was a young mother fox, awe and terror in her eyes as she looked at him. She stood beside the communities' children. She barely finished her sentence when she trailed off again, but Zenith understood the meaning of her words. He nodded simply. "Please, then..." She looked like she could barely manage to talk to him, perhaps out of fear, perhaps out of awe. She was the only one with enough courage to speak up. "These little ones, they're in shock, I-I think. Please, is there anything you can do to...help them?"
He looked to the shivering children, then slowly padded his way over to them, walking on a solid surface for the first time in what seemed like ages. The gathered creatures hastily parted to form a path to the children. He paused next to the little creatures, then a thought came to him. There was something he could do. He motioned for the clouds to part in the sky, to let the sun in. The clearing was suddenly full of light. He spread his long wings in the light, allowing the beautiful spiraling colors to emerge into muted rainbows. The children looked at the rainbows, their eyes widening, recovering from the shock of what had just happened, dazzled by the simple colors. He looked in the direction of the other creatures, half smiling an hopeful smile, watching them slowly unravel their fears. "Now, please tell me, is there anything else I can do for you?"

Prompt Reply:
"Blue Blazes."
The sky god stood with all four legs down on the floor, hair slicked back, with irritation etched into his normally handsome face. He had planned today to be special. His work was perfection, none could deny that. None. He'd be damned if someone would be allowed to besmirch him. Carefully, movements smooth and deliberate just like his work the God fanned his legs out, squaring himself off. Was his every move to be ruined by idiots? He didn't know how he would handle the changes that had been coming along. Strange really, the God of Sky couldn't handle change... Hell, he spent all his time changing things. The sky was never the same twice, his work his art, his very essence demanded that he create change. But someone tampering with his change? No. They would pay.
What was the crime?
Sparkles. Tons and tons of sparkles. They were lighting up the sky here and there. He would admit that they dazzled the eyes, made the mouth drop open in excitement and with every loud boom brought an excited pitter to his heart. That was besides the point. Someone was blowing things up in the night sky, ruining his work. It wasn't truly night yet, the beautiful time before dark where he had the most time to stretch his talent. He'd been hard at work, scheming where to mix in a touch of red orange.. a hue of pink, a dash of green then BOOM! He'd been frazzled from his thoughts and works by the explosion.
How dare they. How dare they mess up his work. His dream, his goal. It was like taking a smack to the face and being expected to smile about it. No, he wouldn't take that crap, he wouldn't allow someone to mess with him like that. He was the God of Sky. He was a supreme being, made to create the shapes in the sky that children stared at, the sunset that lover's gazed at, the sunset that let the rest know the day was ending. His work was right up there in talent with the stars, the moon, the sun. No.. No! He was beyond that, they worked with him.. and now some strange interloper was messing it up?
The temper flared, the ripple of muscles as he crouched low as if about to attack before he stood up stock straight and glared upwards. His body was still squared off and his limbs locked up tight. The pure white of his eyes began to darken, to turn a dark misty grey to several shades darker. He'd had it with the sparkles. They had mocked him long enough. If he could not have the beautiful sunset he'd been creating, then nobody would enjoy anything. Storms were beyond his power, but he could pull the dark clouds over the sky. Blocking the skies, blocking light, blocking all that bothered him.
His eyes were almost black now, and the clouds he'd called for were rolling in dark and as angry as the God himself. How dare they? How dare they. The audacity was almost too much for him to deal with, it was too much for his mind to begin processing. The sparkles were getting harder and harder to see as they rolled in all over. Beautiful. Even in anger he could take a moment to appreciate that there was beauty in temper.
"I am Cumulous. God of Sky. Do well to remember."
Turning, he began to stalk away, exhausted and drained... eyes fading back to their pure white.
