She flew hard and fast, filling her lungs with cool, fresh air, feeling the pounding of her heart as she pushed herself faster and faster through the clear blue sky. There were no clouds to hinder her today and the crisp, perfect mountains being swiftly left behind basked in the golden glow of the sun.

Rokopelli had never been a great flyer, but today it seemed she had mastered it. How long that would last could not be told, but her joy seemed to aid her wings and give them strength. With a laugh, she tipped a rainbow-streaked pinion and dived, turning herself into a barrell roll that left her dizzy. Even still, she righted herself and arched upwards again, wings working hard to ensure the air of the wind. It was true that Gods and Goddesses did not need wings to fly, but they sure did help with control.

To say she wasn't sad about leaving the mortals behind was not true. She had come to love them both dearly, perhaps as one would love one's siblings. And yet, she had realised how much being tied to one who could not fly could drain ones freedom. She had felt sluggish and tired not being able to go where she pleased and now the whole sky was hers.

But not hers alone.

No, she sought her friend. Her best friend. The one who was always there when things got tough. The one who supported her no matter what mistakes she had made.

Silos.

She was sure he was around here somewhere. She could sense it. Sense him. And how much better her senses were now that her personalities were in tune.

~Silos~

She sang his name in her mind, let it extend out as the voice never could. She was desperate to see him and tell him all that had happened to her that day.

Ahhhh... he was wandering again. He growing tired of it, tell truth. Ever since Rokopelli had left to fix those affairs of hers, he'd been wandering, up and down the map, with little to no direction. He'd allowed his feet to carry him when he grew tired of flying; his wings were great for short flights, but he always felt worn and tired if he tried to do big distances with him. He had an inkling of a thought that this was due to the fact he perhaps had to use more magic than gods with bigger wings.

Silos was tired of wandering, tired of flying and tired of... well, everything at the moment. He also felt horribly restless, which wasn't helping much, what with the fact it contradicted the fact he was tired. Confusing at best, really.

He hadn't really paused to notice it, but he'd grown quite a bit - he still wasn't as large as other males, and would never be, nor would his mane ever lengthen beyond the wild mess that partially covered his horns, but still, growth was growth. He had accepted it, if subconsciously, and thus he had grown. The only thing changed about his appearance though, was the fact he now wore a necklace with two rainbow colored feathers. He'd gathered them before Roko had gone, if only because wearing them made him feel like she was there.

His surprise was apparent when his name rung in the air - he didn't really hear but, but he felt it. His eyes racked across the land as he hauled his walking, "Roko?" it wasn't sung back, almost as if he were not entirely too sure if he was mad, or insane.

She heard him, though he did not know it, and was filled with a sudden surge of joy. She was always pleased to meet old friends and adopted family, but seeing Silos again was something else entirely. She dipped her wings and hurtled downwards, levelling off before crashing into the ground. And then, with big sweeps of her wings, she slowed herself, panting from the exertion.

Flying was hard work!!

And then she spotted him. A little bigger, yes, but otherwise still the same.

She called out to him - out loud this time - and, attempted to land.

Landing had never been one of Rokopelli's strong points, and, underestimating how fast she was going despite slowing down, she ended up making a fool of herself. Her paws met the ground, but she did not stop. Instead, she slid a few metres, wings twisting this way and that. Eventually she came to a stop when she lost her footing and crashed headlong into some grass.

"Oof..." She lay there a moment, slightly stunned despite the fact that she really ought to be getting used to these crash landings by now, and then slowly began to right herself. "Should have slowed down..."

He should have been looking up into the sky, but for some odd reason he hadn't been expecting her to pummel down from up THERE, given her frequent crashing and the fact she wasn't the best flier in the world. Thus, his head kept whipping from side to side, trying to spot her upon firm ground, only to frown when he saw absolutely no one in the near distance.

And then... he saw her.

She landed a mere meter to his right. Or rather, she crash landed there. Silos was a tad too shocked to do anything but stare as the rainbow winged goddess crashed down and then slid across the ground, into a patch of long grass.

For a moment, he remain still, blinking, as if trying to figure out what it was he was supposed to do, but then he decided that, ******** that, he'd never really paused to think about things and today wasn't going to be any different. That in mind, he finally skidded to her side and aided her as she tried to right herself, "Well, you've not changed at all, have you?" but no, that wasn't true, something was changed, he just couldn't put his finger on what it was, "Or have you? Huh... something's different, what could it be?"

She was seemingly in a hyperactive mood today, for the moment Silos came to her side, aiding her back into a less embarrasing stance, she burst into an almost pauseless chatter - in answer to his question of course.

"Oh, Silos! You'll never guess what happened to us this morning! We were tracking that Goddess, you know, the one who could heal all. Anyway, we traced her to the mountains. The ones over there. Well, we FOUND her! We really did and she was beautiful, so white it almost hurtses to look at her. And she was the best. She listened to what we had done to Cassian and she told us to take her to where he was. So we did and then everything just got better. She helped his eyeses. Like, got them to work again! He'll be able to see properly now and he can get on with his life just like any other lion! But, that's not the best part - well, we suppose it is - but anyway, she didn't just heal Cassian."

She paused for breath, puffing out her chest a little. "She healed us!!" And she said it with such joy it seemed she might burst with it. "We don't know what she did or how she did it, but she told us that we were the only one who could fix Cassian's mind, so she told us we had to workses together. And we did and it worked!"

And with that she literally threw herself at him, trying to wrap her forepaws around his neck.

Yes. She was...rather happy today.

No sooner had he helped her up that she launched herself in a seemingly endless barrage of words and explanations. silos wasn't really catching even half of what she was saying, but she looked so happy that he couldn't find it within him to tell her to slow down so he could at least understand her. Instead he just listened and nodded his head, making note to ask her about the whole ordeal later when she felt more calm.

He caught something about the goddess that Heals, and Cassian and him seeing again, however, what really caught his attention was the later part of her rambling, and he found himself making a mental skid to look over what he thought he had heard, "Woa," was all he managed to say after she had finished talking, though unfortunately for him, his brain still hadn't quite caught up with him and she was apparently, not giving him time to recover; in fact, she tossed herself at him into some sort of hug.

It wasn't that she was heavy (after all, he'd grown a bit and he'd always been a tad bigger than her anyhow), however, he had been caught offguard, and when the female tossed herself at him, the god lost his balance and fell backwards, landing them (or at least him) in a rather awkward position. What was really frustrating was that he very much doubt she noticed how awkward it was, "Uhhhh... she healed you too? I mean you two? Both of you? Is that what's different?" there WAS something different - something off, but in a good sense. She seemed harmonious, like she was complete, "You're whole again, aren't you?" in his defense, he was trying very, very hard to ignore his position under her and concentrate on the conversation.

It was proving to be horribly difficult and he was going to make sure to pat himself on the back later for keeping it cool.

Silos was right. She didn't really notice how awkward their current position was. She was so happy that right now, nothing else mattered.

"That's right!" She replied, her wings tucking tightly to her sides as she spoke, grinning as if she were quite insane. "We're whole, for now at least! Roko has agreed to practise powers for good."

"Practice will help control." Roko added.

"And I promised that I wouldn't do anything stupid with them again." Pelli continued. "So we're going to work together."

"That's right!" Roko chirped.

And suddenly she seemed to realise that she was laying on him. Her mouth closed and her eyes widened and then she flustered. "Oh, oh, Silos! We're sorry! We didn't mean to flatten you? Are you okay?" And though she now seemed aware of this fact she didn't seem to make any effort to move at all.

He listened to her intently. In fact, it was possible he was hanging onto her words as if they were a lifeline of some sort, what with the way he was focusing on them. In his defense, he had two options. He could either put his full attention on what she was seeing, or deviate his attention into pondering their position, and well, that wasn't really going too well, so he'd decided on the former option.

"Practice is good!" he tried to chirp in cheerfully after her.

But then she finally seemed to realize their position (of course - gosh the irony, just when he was getting ... uncomfortably used to it too), and she was asking if he was okay. He was torn between answering yes, no and maybe, so he just opted for keeping his mouth hanging agape, "Uhhhhh...." he said unintelligent, because answering her question risked her moving... and also risked her staying and he wasn't all too sure which he wanted at that precise moment, "Your wings are very pretty," he offered instead, and then mentally kicked himself for snatching the first thing that had come to mind.

She blinked. Her wings were...pretty? She turned her head to look at them, almost as if she wasn't sure what wings were. Lifting them so that they arched outwards a little, she broke into another smile and turned back to look at him, giggling at the look on his face.

"Really? We like our wings, too."

Her mismatched eyes met his and for a moment all was quiet. Then;

"You have a pretty mane." And she meant it, too. It might not be as full as other adult males, but she found his incredibly adorable. It took a lot of effort not to reach out and ruffle it with a paw. She had a feeling that something like that might end up ruining this comfortable snuggle they had going on right now.

And what was this heat in her face? Was she...embarrassed? But why? There was nothing to be embarrassed about, was there? Was there?!

"Uhh..." She gave him a sheepish smile. "You're...rather comfy. We...we think we might stay here."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 21, 2010 12:53 pm

"They're very pretty," he offered again as she stretched them out and his eyes flew over to the multicolored plumage that lay spread just beyond reach. He wasn't kidding either; he really did conciser them to be rather pretty. It was true that he hadn't met many goddesses before, but he knew his fair share of gods (after all, he came from a litter of five godlets). None of their wings could compare to hers in his mind.

Her words cut through his thoughts and he blinked, generally confused, "I do?" a pause, "It's not a full mane," he told her, "It'll never be a full mane," he'd always thoughts girls rather liked full manes, and had found himself asking his brothers about it. Some had told him yes, some had told him no. Their debates never really reached a conclusion.

Oh, dear god, she was going to stay there?!

His mind went into something akin to hyper drive as he tried to figure out what he should do. Or what he should be doing. Sadly, nothing was coming to mind, "Uhhh.... what?" a pause, "You're... you're just going to stay there?" he sounded like he was half screaming, god yes, please stay, and half going, oh, please no, I don't know how much more I can take.

Silos was so nice! His compliments were so different from receiving compliments from others. They were...they were...what was the word?

Um...

No. Wait. She had the word but was it right? Could it be? Was she just confusing herself? Yes...probably. But then again, it did seem sort of...romantic. Romantic! That was the word, right? Right? Ugh...she was making herself more confused! Perhaps it was best not to think about it. Just...um...yeah, keep talking?

"That doesn't matter." She continued. "We like it very much. It suits you!" Besides that, him not having a huge mane meant that he didn't seem so big and scary like other males did. Being a small Goddess, she often found herself quite overcome by mortal males, let alone Gods.

She giggled again and nodded fiercly. "Yup! Right here!" She blinked and moved her muzzle closer. "You don't mind, do you?" Hm, yes, this was nice. Wait, was she being romantic, too? Or was this normal? Was this maybe not the right thing to do?

Um...

"Silos..." Woah, was she really going to ask him? No, she couldn't! An inner battle suddenly raged. Pelli withdrew from the question, but Roko didn't. Roko, with all her childish innocence wanted to know.

"Silos! Are you being romantic!?"

(( Pelli right now: O_____o !?!? ))
PostPosted: Thu Jan 21, 2010 2:08 pm

It suited him.

Well, he'd never really thought of it like that, but now that he did, he supposed she was right. It did suit him well enough! In fact, now that she mentioned it, it was rather perfect, wasn't it? And-

... she was closing it.

She was closing in a lot. Her muzzle was almost against his maw, and he was sort of pinned down, so that meant he had no way to retreat away from it, so he just endded up looking at her rather stupidly, "Uhhhhhh..." unfortunately, he had heard jack s**t of what she'd last said, to busy fretting over the fact her muzzle was, you know, right there.

What was that about mind? Was she asking if he minded?

He found himself unable to answer, because again, he was torn between yes, no and a bit of both (maybe that's how she felt all the damned time, which was... well, he kind of understood how she'd developed a double personality - a way to deal with it), "Romantic?" he found himself sputtering at her, because, ah hell... he was being anything but romantic at that precise moment, "I... do you want me to?"

Pelli was sputtering too, inwardly. And her sputtering amused Roko incredibly. To think that her serious, 'grown up' half couldn't bear to ask such a simple question! Although, really, was it that simple?

The little Goddess seemed just as confused as Silos did right now, and, when he asked his question she looked a little taken aback. What should she say? It felt wrong to say no, but should one just say yes? Say it without putting much thought into it? Was this rushing things? Were they supposed to be romantic?

Well...he was kinda cute and she did like him and thought of life without him did make her incredibly sad. So, what was this, then? Love? Ugh, where was Mummy Koya when she needed her the most? She almost felt like taking off then and there to go and find the grey goddess and ask her. But...she couldn't do that. That would be mean and...well, she didn't want to be mean to Silos.

"We'll go with....yes!" She grinned. "Silos should be romantic, that's what we think."

And then she moved her nose closer and pressed it against his - not delicately, either.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 21, 2010 2:34 pm

He had been so very busy kicking himself mental (stupid, stupid, stupid) for his question, that when the female's answer came, he hadn't been paying attention. Silos found himself blinking, as if the motion would somehow, beyond all reason, help him understand what it was that was going on (things were supposed to be much easier than this, damnit!!).

It thus, took, him a full minute to gather that she had, indeed, answered affirmatively and thus, gave him wiggle room because good lord, he had her consent, "Really?" he was answered when she pressed her nose to his, "I'll take that as a really," he murmured, and then paused, "I... can you let me up, Roko?" the words were hesitant, but he did press his head against hers - his moved his paws a bit, just to show her... that this position made it horribly difficult for him to move and thus, do anything but just lay there, "It's very hard to be romantic when I really can't move, love. If you get off, I'll... well, we'll see what happens."

"Oh! Okay!" And if she was offended, it certainly didn't show. She slid off of him and then rolled across the ground before picking herself up. Then, she shook out her rainbow pinions and turned back to glance at him.

She wondered what exactly romance entailed and wondered what exactly might happen. She beamed across at him, her mismatched eyes shining from beneath the dark braids of her that had somehow gotten draped across her brow.

"We're off now!" She chirped. "So now you can be romantic!"
