So, I've been working on my first REAL book. I intend to perfect it to the best of my ability and try to get it published. How would I go about getting a book looked out without someone trying to claim it to be theirs and how do I get it published?

Wish I knew. whee You'd probably want to hire an official editor or something before you sent it to a publishing company. Anything past that I don't know, sorry.

If I send it to a editor, how would I make sure that they can't just run off with what I gave them and fix it up themselves and sell it as theirs?
