Kivuli padded into the rogue lands for some time to think. The previous day he and Maua had gotten into a spat over her obsession with tracking down that Wild Dog she had had a scoff with. There were very few things that any lion, including Maua, could do to keep Kivuli angry for long. But this was one of those occasions. She knew better than to go out looking for trouble, they were Nobles, they didn't need to be off looking for some Wild Dog when there were matters within the pride that would need their attention. Shaking his head as he went along Kivuli knew that some time away would help clear his mind.

And while he wasn't quite willing to completely drop the subject when he returned home, he would certainly try to not let it get to him. He was bettee than that, and he knew it. It bothered him when things got to him so easily. He was a smart lion, his wisdom went well beyond his years and yet Maua's childish behavior had gotten to him. Thankfully he was a patient and understanding lion and knew that there was a reason behind everything. There had been some greater purpose behind her taking him to the watering hole, he just needed to figure it out.

Faraja padded along with little destination in mind, she rarely seemed to have a reason or rhyme to her travels as she'd always been somewhat of a wanderer. Wandering she found out sometimes got one into trouble...trouble like being pregnant, which she was now thank to a brief fling with a pretty blue pelted lion she'd run into a while back.

Of course she was still in the earl stages of the pregnancy - her stomach did not yet bare the outward signs of things to come, but she knew..she wasn't stupid and she could tell. What on earth had she managed to get herself into? Sighing slightly she walked along not really paying attention to where she was going until she practically ran into a bush and startled looked up to find that he'd not only come close to running into a bush - but another lion as well. A male with a rather brightly colored mane and contrasting pelt that well..he found it rather handsome actually...and then mentally smacked herself. After all she'd already gotten herself into a fine mes thanks to male.

"Oh..um, sorry" she told the male in a soft voice "I didn't know I had wandered so close to someone else" she continued to explain herself, fully aware that she sounded like a complete dolt. open mouth...insert paw, she thought to herself with a slight sigh.

After their little tiff the day before Maua and Kivuli hadn't spoken much and that was rare - even hen he was extremely angry with her Kivuli usually forgot about his anger by the time they went to bed. But not this time - and now he had wandered out of the pride lands to do who knows what and Maua - paranoid and worried due to his anger had followed. sneaking along behind him, making sure to keep him in sight while skittering from cover to cover a goodly distance behind him.

She had no idea where he was headed, but as she followed him she suddenly became aware that another lion was approaching...did Kivuli have a secret meeting she didn't know about? but wait no...that lion..she squinted...Lioness! didn't have a lick of purple on their hide, which practically ruled out any sort of official secret business. Why this creature looked to have a hide the color of mud..though she did seem to like trying to dress herself up in purple jewelery...oh my! Maua couldn't believe t as the thought jumped into her mind. Was Kivuli having an affair with a Costumer?!? Maua let out a little squeak of indignation and clapped a paw over her muzzle. Thankfully she was pretty sure she was far enough behind that Kivuli hadn't heard.

The sudden appearance of the lioness almost made Kivuli jump, but he fought his nerves and stood where he was. "It is alright." He told her. "I was not paying attention to where I was going." He had been too busy with thoughts of yesterdays fight with Maua to pay any attention to where he had been going. The fact that he had made it this far without running into anyone...or anything for that matter was pretty impressive.

He took a step back, not wanting to crowd the lioness, even though it had been pure accident that they had almost run into each other. "Allow me to introduce myself," He said once there was a more comfortable bit of distance between them. "I am Kuvunjwa Kivuli, Noble of the Suka'Fumo Pride. Though you may call me Kivuli for short. And who might you be?" Well the least he could do was talk to the poor lioness, perhaps it would help distract him from his thoughts about Maua.

Oh my! Fara thought to herself as he introduced himself, such a long name - and a noble to boot! That certainly explained his handsome shiny looks - obviously a noble would be a well fed, well looked after beast she thought silently as she admired him again before mentally shaking herself free. Don't be silly Fara she chastised herself, he's a noble in a pride and your just a silly wandering rogue. This ain't no fairy tale your living here - and besides you don't even know him, sure he seems polite but first looks can be deceiving.

"My..such a long name" She managed to babble out after a few moments of silence. "I mean...its a lovely name" She backpedaled before deciding it was probably best to just go ahead and call that exchange fubbed and move on. "My name is Faraja...though most call me Fara" She told him "And I'm afraid I'm just a rogue" Yeah sorry prince charming your not talking to any princess here.

Maua had managed to sneak her way a bit closer when the two - well it looked to her like they greeted one another, she couldn't tell by this angle but they seemed to get awfully close to one another before Kivuli moved back again. Maua fumed silently, if she got her claws on that mud colored wench she'd regret ever meeting Kivuli. Come to think of it - when had these two met? How long had this been going on?

Oh that was a worrisome thought! and Maua absently licked on her her paws as she watched the ongoing conversation. Well...at least they were just talking so far, asides from that...greeting...whatever that had been, Maua wasn't sure what she would have done if she'd actually been in position to see what they had actually done. She was pretty sure she knew anyways - obviously he'd licked her or something. Oh suns she hoped that was all that happened - gods forbid what she would do if they did well...anything else! Is this why Kivuli had been so tired lately? Had he been gallivanting about with this hussy?

Kivuli let out a small chuckle. It was clear to him that this lioness had been much like himself, lost in thought while walking and was still trying to gain her bearings. "Well Fara it is nice to meet you." And then paused for a moment. "No lion is just a rogue. Rogues lead just as fulfilling lives as pride lions do." Well perhaps not all of them, but just because one didn't like in a pride didn't mean they were less of a creature than those who did. Boy Maua would kill him for thinking that way. She always believed that those who were not in a pride or were of a lower rank were not worthy of anything bug smug remarks and mad stares.

Kivuli didn't think this way at all. And while he had grown up in the same pride as Maua and been taught the exact same lessons he believed that even the lowliest of creatures deserved some respect, perhaps not as much as Noble or one of high ranking did. But that was no reason to treat them like dirt. He shook him head, he was getting lost in his thought again, and the focused back on the mud colored lioness. "So Fara, are you just wandering around today or were you on your way to someplace specific?"

Fara gave the male lion a warm look - she had half expected a few gloating remarks when he found out she was nothing but a commoner in his world and here he was being so nice. That was a rare quality in allot of places she knew, and while she had meet her fair share of kind lions she had also run across quite a few nasty minded sneaky lions. Thankfully Kivuli seemed to be of the kind variety, Fara wasn't sure if she was in the mental shape to handle an encounter with a nasty creature today.

"Thats awfully kind of you" Fara told him "And a somewhat refreshing point of view truth be told" She continued with a bit of a chuckle. "I'm afraid I was just wandering today, I have had allot on my mind lately and needed to clear my head a bit, what about yourself? Pardon me for being nosy - but what is a noble doing wandering about these parts all on your own?"

Maua shifted her position slightly as she kept her eyes glued to the muddy lioness and her..thats right HER mate as they stood there appearing to have a nice quiet conversation right in front of her! Well granted it wasn't exactly right in front of her....and they didn't know she was here but still the point as far as Maua was concerned was valid. And well her opinion was often the only one that mattered.

Oh my! Maua's ears twitched had that mud colored family wrecker chuckled at something? Was Kivuli telling jokes? Why would he be telling her jokes? Was he trying to woo her still - well that would be somewhat of a relief...at least that would mean this hadn't been going on very long or escalated into anything more serious. Oh gods she thought t herself could you imagine the humiliation if this brown coated beast wandered into the pride someday claiming she'd had Kivuli's cubs or something?

A small grin formed on his maw. "Well Fara I believe that just because I am of high rank it doesn't mean that everyone else below me is worthless. True most think that way, but I have been a bit of a rebel in that way." Ah so she was just wandering. It seemed to be a common thing for rogues to do, wandering from this place and that, with no real goals in mind. So though wandered only in an attempt to look for a more stable place to live. Other wandered to get away from things, be it their thoughts, a certain place or in some cases a certain creature.

He was doing a bit of that right now, trying to get away from his thoughts. "I am doing much the same." He told her after a few moments pause. "My mate and I had a bit of a scoff the other day. So I decided to take some time away to clear my thoughts." Maua and he had had many fights in the past, what couple didn't? But this one had been more frustrating than any of their previous ones. She had deliberately gone out looking for trouble and dragged him along with her in an attempt to not break her promise to him. Kivuli would not let that happen again in the future. He loved Maua so much and he would not allow anything to happen to her.

"Theres nothing wrong with being a rebel" She told the male with a bit of a smile crossing her maw - she'd always been one to listen for the most part - but she had eventually left her home pride to strike out on her on, so she guessed that would color her a bit of a rebel as well. That was an amusing thought and she considered sharing this with the male until he spoke again and mentioned a mate.

Well that was disappointing her little mental voice put in ,though, to be honest she'd never really thought about trying to seduce this noble - she knew nothing about his pride or him for that matter - but he was handsome and hey she was allowed a bit of fantasy now and again right? "Ah a fight, I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it all works out for the two of you" she put in after a few moments of silence. She wanted to ask what the fight was about - but somehow that seemed a bit nosy when you'd only just meet someone.

Maua was getting tired of sitting out here in hiding - they hadn't done anything else in the last little while but talk - well and laugh a little bit, but other then that initial greeting she hadn't seen anything too terrible. Not that it made the situation alright, far from it...Maua was fuming. Fuming because she had a fight with Kivuli in the first place. Fuming because she'd had to follow him all the way out here. Fuming because she'd caught him having a secret liaison with not only another Lioness..but a lowly mud colored one and fuming because it was hot...and she thought she was sitting on a rock.

Yes it was definitely time to try and make her get away she thought to herself and easing out from her hiding spot she went to turn around and make tracks, her thoughts swirling about what she should do now and distracting her so that she wasn't paying near as much attention to what she was doing as she had been at the start. One paw landed squarely on a dried twig.

SNAP!

....Damn

"Tell that to the other Nobles." He said with a bit of a chuckle. "They hate anyone who rebels against their ways. Luckily I'm pretty good at hiding my rebellious spirit." He sat back on his haunches getting a bit more comfortable. "Fighting is inevitable." He told her simply. "And I know we will work things out, we always do. But sometimes you just need to get away for a bit, to sort out your thoughts or else you will stay mad forever."

He opened his mouth to say something else when a soft snapping noise caught his attention. Kivuli's head swiveled around to see the source of that sound. Jaw dropping open when he say Maua off in the distance, clearly trying to sneak away. Did she seriously follow him all the way out here? And why spy on him? Why not just make her presence be know? A low rumble escaped him, she probably thought he was having some sort of fling with this female and they would meet up whenever they had a fight. He sighed and turned his attention back to Fara for a moment. "Excuse me. I need to go speak with her." He motioned towards the white lioness with purple and gold markings.

Rising to his paws he began to pad his way towards his mate. "Maua!" He called out in an irritated tone. And just when he was starting to forget about their spat the other day she had to go and do this. "What are you doing?"

Fara had been about to settle down and have a nice good conversation with this male lion - he didn't seem to be in a big hurry to leave and she certainly didn't have anywhere to be. They both seemed to be trying to get their minds off of things and well so far this conversation seemed to be working. At least in her case, Kivuli still seemed to be lamenting his problems back home but she was sure with a bit of a subject change he could have a bit of worry free time.

Or...maybe not she amended her previous thoughts as a snap nearby caused her to look in the sounds direction - just in time to see the brightly colored Lioness clearly trying to sneak away. His mate perhaps? Yep..her thoughts were confirmed when Kivuli said he had to go and speak with her. Well so much for their talk she thought to herself and when the male had gotten a decent distance away Fara rose and trotted off - she had no desire to stay and be a part of whatever spat they might have now.

Maua shrank to the ground as the sound echoed far far to loudly over the plains. She had hoped beyond hope that Kivuli wouldn't hear the sound, but no such luck she found out, her ears flattening down guiltily as he called out at her in an irritated voice. Now wait a minute she suddenly thought to herself..why was she the one groveling on the ground like she'd done something wrong?!?

She was in the right here! It was Kivuli who had done something wrong and so gathering her confidence Maua stood up and spun around as he approached. Think quickly Maua she told herself..think quickly. 'I WAS coming out to apologize to you for yesterday" She spat at him, yes yes..that was a good start "But I see you've found solace somewhere else" She continued in a hurt tone, her gaze purposefully flicking back over his shoulder where the brown lion was quickly making tracks - the hussy.
