Lunar pulled some berries off the bush and she looked over her shoulder at the teepee. Things were changing, they always here. She felt imune to it, all this change. Nothing ever changed with her. It was like time stopped and moved around her. Foals were born, and grew, love was found. She smiled some, it was strange being on the outside of it all.

Chewing the berries she turned and away away from the teepee and onto one of the nearby paths, to talk her daily walk.

It had been a week since Carolina had first stepped out of her home in the forest to explore this area, and she had yet to regret the decision. Perhaps she'd been sheltered before, but it didn't matter now. The Usdia shook her head, carefully tossing her bangs out of her eyes before trotting towards the river for a drink.

Lunar looked over and she saw the other usdia. She had a brillant blue coloring, and pretty jewelry. But Lunar knew it was someone new, for she walked these paths everyday and never saw her, and this mare was very noticeable! She was weary though of approaching her. She walked hesitantly toward the mare, her ling hair, and tail draging in the ground. Ah, it looked like she was getting some water. "You might want to travel just a little further up the river for water. That area is very murky."

Carolina's ears perked at the sound of the other female's voice, and she turned to glance toward her. She couldn't even imagine having to care for such a long mane and tail. Her own tail was difficult enough to care for at times, even with most of it held together. "Thank you for the warning. I'm not really that familiar with the area," she replied gently, turning away from the river.

Lunar smiled some. "No need to thank me. I noticed you were new to the area. Alot of the larger horses cross the river here, so they've made it a bit of a mess. " She walked around and off the path to get a better look. She had a fancy tail. "May I ask where you're from? You have such interesting style."

"I used to live further into the forest. You don't see many others that deep in," Carolina explained lightly, her eyes shining with mischief. "They say Fae play tricks on you when you go so deep into the forest. Perhaps it's true, perhaps it isn't. Personally, I've never seen a single Fae."

"Thats interesting, what brings you out here then?" If she lived so deep, she was probably safer in there then out here... So was it possible there was something wrong? Lunar never went to far into the forest, she was small, and not equipped for self defense.

"Curiosity. I've never been outside the forest, and I wondered what it was like out here," Carolina said, her ears flicking forward and lips pulling back in a half-smile. "My name's Carolina."

Interesting. "I'm Lunar." She nodded over to the other mare. Yes, today was turning out to be different from all the others. Thanks to this other mare. "I've never been deep into the forest. Would you mind telling me about it, while we go a upstream to find you some water?"

"A pleasure to meet you, Lunar," Carolina said, nodding towards the other mare politely. "And I'd be happy to. It is... Quite different from out here."

"Right this way." Lunar walked toward her, and then veered off into a smaller trail then before. "Wel lI would imagine so. You talked about Fae's? What exactly are those?" She had never heard of them, often deep forest came with stories of Kalona, and skinwalkers for her.

"Fae. It's both singular and plural," Carolina corrected softly, falling into step beside Lunar with ease. "They are the guardians of the forest. Spirits as old as the very earth we walk on. While primarily good-natured, they are rumored to rather enjoy playing tricks on outsiders."

"Really?" She pondered over the thought. "Do you know what they look like?" If they were a type of earth spirit, thought they would be small, something you might see from the corner of you eye. If they were any bigger, the tricks they play would seem to be dangerous... "This is the first I've heard of them sadly." Lunar led her up the river; they didn't need to travel all that far from find clear water.
