It was a normal day at Daemonolgie; Hae-min and her assistant were in their alcove, going over the ledgers to locate twenty cents, Tae-yul was reading at his desk, Martel was upstairs doing whatever necromantically reconstructed mentors tended to do. Edward, he was thinking. This was normal, too; gentleman-scholars tended to do a lot of thinking, a lot of note-taking, and not much else. He had the end of a black eye (it was only a tinge of red) from when Tae-yul had punched him (apparently no one used Tae-yul's sister for demonic summoning but Tae-yul) but not much else seemed to have changed.
Except for that odd... happening.
Well, truly, it was almost normal for one or the other of them to wake up in the night; sometimes Edward even set an alarm to awaken at a certain awkward time, if he wanted to do a summoning but needed rest. Other times someone botched a late-night summoning and they had to tend to it as a group. And, rarely, but it did happen, they woke up for... other reasons.
Edward flushed a bit. Luckily, no one noticed.
But last night, a demon had appeared in each separate room, one after the other. None of their words of power had coerced anything more than a "she's coming" in Enoch, the angel's language, which was also spoken by high-ranking demons. What could scare a demon high enough to know the language of angels into... that?
It bore thinking about, didn't it. Idly, he wondered if anyone else outside the shop had seen that strange apparition...

She had given him hell for not appearing when she called him. But the strangeness of this shadow whatever it was, still bothered her. Asmo did not seem forthcoming with any answers. And she'd not seen Seere in awhile. Noone else seemed to know anything, but she was sure that Asmodeus did though he was not giving her information.
Was it just gut instinct that something was wrong? A light shiver ran through her as her mind went back over the entire episode. Something just was not... right about this. Not right at all and it made her think that something worse was coming.
Much like she had known upon one glance at Jeffrey what his attitude was going to be the moment he walked in the door- a feeling she was going to get slammed in some way. And it was going to hurt.
Shaking the feeling off, she simply told Theros she would be out for the day. Then Vincent pulled the car around for her. She barely noticed other to slip into the back seat. Her normal greeting was forgotten as other things kept her attention.
"Where to, Mischa?" he asked as he started the limo and began to move towards the exit.
"The Daemon shop, Vinnie. I want to talk to Edward about something." she replied, glancing distractedly out the window. Tugging her jacket closer, she continued to frown as she watched the traffic go by. It blurred as she rethought the night before.
It was several moments later when he stopped the car for her. "We are here." he said, moving around to her door to open it for her. She never moved which caused him to frown.
"We are here. Mischa?" he called, tipping his hat upwards to watch her expression closely for a moment. As a mercenary, he studied people knowing it gave clues to their emotions. She was bothered by something. Strange. Theros had said nothing about her being upset. Maybe he did not see it.
She blinked turning to stare at him. Her teeth suddenly tugged her lower lip distractedly. "Huh?"
"We are here." he repeated, eyes narrowing as he watched her.
"Um.. thanks, Vinnie." she said quickly, sliding out of the car and moving towards the door. "I'll be awhile."
Pushing the door open, she walked in, a smile twitching her face. Tae would not be happy to see her, but Edward and Hae would be. At least until she began asking questions about what she had seen.

Ein had left little explanation for his running off; what his family knew was that something was wrong with one of his friends and he was going to stay with them for the rest of the day to get it sorted out. That would hopefully give him some time to come up with a decent excuse.
The reality was that something had attempted to contact him in the middle of the night, the yuki-onna gave no response, and the next day the shower had vomited blood at him.
He was still shaken up. To get ready and at least pretend like he had a real shower, he had dunked his head in the sink and spent a copious amount of time washing his face and other parts of his body with a wash cloth instead of the steady stream he had wanted. The yuki-onna's presence helped calm him down after a while of laying on the floor, shivering, and at that point he had completely forgotten he had been in the bathroom with an otherwordly woman... naked. Normally that would have embarrassed and... excited him to no end but nothing was exciting him like that right now.
No. He was still shivering, shaking, still cold and dumbstruck. It had taken so long to wash the blood from the shower... out of the tub... and when he finally did, he got dressed and booked it to the one place he knew had to have the answer.
Daeomonolgie
"...Yuki," Ein paused in his walk, feet ready to cross from sidewalk to cobbles, "There's a man in this place who knows you exist, knows I summoned you... it was before our contract. That doesn't... null anything... does it...?" No eye contact was made during the exchange, Ein's honey colored eyes were locked tightly onto a fancy car moving up the street and a rapidly decreasing rate of speed. It stopped exactly where he was intending to go.
"...Extenuating circumstances occur. Some things happen and are not your fault. If I am found out, I am found out," she seemed to be reading his mind with the recent addition of a woman stepping out of the car just in front of the shop, "Our deal still holds true."
Relief swept over Ein like a rough tide and as the car pulled away, he crossed the cobbled street and stepped up to the grim door behind the woman. Not averting his gaze from the door, his peripheral showed him quite a lot; the woman, and a woman she was, was quite attractive and seemed rather affluent, exactly the opposite of himself. He was only a man based on legality, a scrawny, stringy man still clinging to the "innocence" that surrounded him. It seemed she didn't notice him as she opened the door without a word, or even a knock, and Ein stepped in after her.
"H-... hello?"

Mischa had been correct when she assumed that Edward would be pleased to see her; he looked up as he entered and smiled immediately, though it caused a twinge in the remains of the black eye. "Mischa," he said warmly, holding out both hands for her to take up the last few steps into the shop proper and ignoring Tae-yul's irritated look. "What brings you here?"
He looked at Tae-yul again and sighed, saying of the man's mood and his own black eye, "Don't ask, please."
The door opened again, this time admitting the young man who had summoned the yuki-onna. Ein? Yes, Ein.
"Ein," said Edward. "It's a pleasure to see you. I haven't seen you since you came to consult about your summoning--how did that go, by the way?"
Hae-min was out of her alcove, skirts of her hanbok gathered into one hand. "I will get tea," she said after a moment of shocked staring.
"Thank you," Edward called after her. Then he turned back to the clients, saying, "What brings you both here?"

A laugh slipped free as she took Edward's hands. She raised an eyebrow at the eye, tempted to reach out and touch his face and then smirk at Tae-yul. The temptation to tease them both passed and instead, she simply winked at Hae-min, her eyes amused. She'd tease Tae later. Eventually he'd come round and joke with her.
Maybe. Someday. When hell froze over.
"I can guess," she began, nearly said, 'Lovers' spat," but the door interrupted her. She smiled at the man coming in as Edward greeted him as a summoner also. Learning that he was a client of Edward's allowed her to continue and she greeted him. "Ein, I'm Mischa." she introduced herself, smiling warmly at him as she held her hand out before turning back to Edward and Tae to finish her story.
"There was something odd, Edward. I woke up and there was someone.. something in my room. I'm not entirely certain but they just kept rocking back and forth and muttering strange words. I couldn't even hear it clearly and they didn't even seem to acknowledge I was there. Asmo did not answer me when I called him and it was like light didn't even reveal it. It vanished when I walked closer. I thought it was one of his normal pranks on me. Or one by Theros, but this was just... it was strange and I don't think it was a joke by either of them. Anyhow I walked into his harem and hit him with a pillow. The big jerk was sleeping and more than a little irritated at being woken."
She smirked, shrugging, and then added, "I mean the casino was clear and seemed normal, but it was just so odd. He said he didn't know anything, but I'm sure that's not true. I thought maybe you would know more."
Her teeth tugged her lower lip. Was she only seeing things? Had her room really been that dark with such little light? Sometimes she doubted it. Had it been her imagination and nothing to worry about?

At first, Ein was very unsure. The first time he had come in, he was certain he had left Edward on somewhat irritable terms but the man seemed jovial at his arriving, and so the summoner stood straighter, nodding his greeting so as not to interrupt Mischa. When she extended her hand, he nearly missed the chance, but did offer a quiet "hi" and shook. He felt so socially awkward in this place, like it was somewhere he was never meant to go, but the yuki-onna's presence soothed him, she kept her cold hands on his shoulders, however invisible she was at the time.
He hadn't the slightest idea of who the other two people were; one seemed extremely sour for whatever reason, perhaps at their presence? The other appeared to be confused but cheery, eager to please. Ein watched her get up as she went to get tea, but averted his eyes to the floor and rubbed the back of his neck soon after.
Both of them perked at Mischa's story; Ein could feel the yuki-onna tense up around him, and his heart beat faster. His eyes were locked on the side of Mischa's face as she told the story of the shadowy figure, rocking back and forth, speaking in some odd language, just the same as them. There was, however, no mention of a bathroom scene.
Only when he was sure she was finished did he pipe in, "Th-that happened to me, too! It's why I'm here, actually... I-I mean, the summoning went fine... I think... so I guess that happening to me wasn't a side effect if it happened to you, too...?" Brainstorming aloud wasn't a very good way to go when attempting to get a solid point across. "But there was something else, too. Just today, I was trying to take a shower and it... well..."
The yuki-onna took over for him, intangibly passing through her summoner before revealing herself in an icy cloud. Her eyes were locked onto Edward, ignoring Mischa for the mean time; this was the man Ein had meant knew of her already, had given him the means to call her forth. "It sprayed him with a torrent of gore," she finished for him, hands tucked away into the opposite's kimono sleeves, her clothes and hair billowing with an unnatural air as she floated, legless, above the ground. Her very presence had caused a chill in the room, but now that she had formed herself, it was even colder.

The shop front hadn't changed a bit since the last time she had visited, and she had about as much knowledge about her current situation as her last one. However, this was about the only place she trusted to help her. Well, it was probably the only place that would know what to do. Hilaire looked to Lucifer, and then back to the shop. "Here goes nothing..."
She opened the door and stepped inside, only to find that there were a few others besides the shopkeepers. They were like her, accompanied by their demons. "Oh...if you guys are really busy we can come back later."
Lucifer stopped her from turning around. "We will wait until they are done. From what you were saying, its pretty important. Plus I don't want you to find some way to blame this on me later."
Hilaire simply rolled her eyes at him and nodded.

Tae-yul glared harder, if such a thing was even possible; then he was looking back to his book. Hmph. Like he would grace Mischa with his attention for longer than he had to to make it clear he didn't like the woman.
With a sigh, Edward shook his head. "You might guess, but I can promise you'll be wrong." How many people would think about blood sacrifices being the cause of dispute for anything? Not many... if anyone, this group, but they were still wet behind the ears in the way of summonings. He was not, so when he listened to the stories presented, he didn't look too impressed. Or that irritated, really. Just... intrigued.
"That's odd," he said lightly, "as we've had our mumbling friend appear here as well. Tae-yul believes it was my vengeance for the black eye, but... I wouldn't do that. The summoner's art is very serious and to use it for pranks displays a marked failure of character." The last words were said loudly, and Tae-yul looked up with bright red cheeks, then hurriedly returned to his book.
Yeah, that's what Edward thought.
He crossed his arms over his chest. Mischa and Ein both? Perhaps he should be looking for tales of mumbling demons in the lore... The story of the showerhead took him by surprise, as well. "Ein, would you and the yuki-onna kindly tell Hae-min in greater detail about the shower?" He placed one hand on Ein's shoulder and directed him to the little Asian woman, who looked up with a smile and beckoned the younger man over.
The woman on the threshold was one he hadn't seen in quite some time. "Miss... Montroe, was it? Is there something you needed," he asked politely, "I seem to be having an open field day today."

Mischa listened to Ein's story fully aware of Tae's glare which sort of amused her. Ein's tale was far worse than hers although the bloody shower was rather interesting, but she shuddered inwardly thinking that something like that waited on her. Seeing Asmo's face in the mirror a time or two had been quite enough of unexpected things appearing. Worse yet would be to see Tae's face there. She nearly snickered at the thought but bit down on her lip to stifle her imagination of such.
Pulling her jacket a bit tighter as the air in the room got colder, she was not too surprised to see Yuki-onna. Grim seemed to always be with Mandy so she had almost expected such. Though not quite so much the cold and she shivered lightly. With Asmodeus around, it was usually on the too warm side of things. He seemed to like turning the heat up in more ways than one, but only went with her when necessary though he seemed to be doing that alot more lately. Not today however.
"Can't say a shower like that would be enjoyable." she replied shaking her head. "Typically I get Asmodeus' face in the mirror instead of my own. His way of letting me know he's watching from time to time."
"So whatever that was appeared here and mumbled too. Did you understand what was being said, Edward? I mean if it was in three places, it must have had a reason to show up. I wouldn't have put it past Asmo to prank me with such, but if this thing has appeared to others, then it's not him. Though he still might know more than he's saying." Mischa asked as she nodded to the woman who had entered. "And is there anything to worry about? Repeat appearances perhaps? I'd rather this not bother my guests at the casino. And it appears that Ein had two visits whereas I only had one which might not be good for him. If it comes down to it, I could ply Asmodeus and Seere with some questions."

"Mumbling thing..." Hilaire grabbed Lucifer's hand and stepped further into the shop. The thought of it still frightened her a little, and his hand was of some comfort to her. "That...thing appeared here too? Are you serious? That's why I came here. Its like it consumed all the light, and it was just staring at me making noises. It scared the crap out of me honestly. Here I was hoping it was just a nightmare or something..."
Lucifer was in great shock that Hilaire grabbed his hand. The even more shocking thing was that she grabbed his hand in public. Something must be greatly bothering her to push her to such an act. He hid his blushing the best he could and tried to focus on Edward. "I didn't feel anything. I wasn't disturbed at all. Well, that is until Hilaire burst into my room...but aside from that I would not have known that anything had been there. That is some feet to accomplish, and it worries me."

Whatever it was, it had come to him in his sleep. To say the least he wanted answers. More and more as of late.. he wasn't content to accept things lying down. As much as Kornellius Yymir would have prefered to let things pass him by he wasn't so stupid to assume it would all work out in the end. If he wanted to know more about his past, it was ironic that the future would hold the answers.
Weren't there rules about how that didn't work? The two not going hand in hand..or something to that effect. Oh well.
He'd seen it many times, more studied then really set foot mind you. From what he could find in books and tomes the establishment was meant to aid in the summoning of daemons. Granted... Korbin knew it was more then that. Contracting and binding. Two words he avoided using. So why was he moving closer? Good question.
"So this place does exists." His dark gaze moved across the building, settling on the group gathered not to far from his current position. "Correction... understatement of the year. Of course it does. " He muttered, not really excepting anyone to take notice of him. He hadn't understood most of what he'd sworn he imagined last night, but the words unanimous with this shop had been clear enough. He didn't need a translator for that. "And if it appeared to one person... theres merrit." He concluded listening to the frightened whispers of 'odd happenings'. Huh. So he wasn't the only one?
Tucked under his arm was a large encyclopedia of different demons and dark creatures of the night. Lately he'd taken to in his free time reading, trying to understand that which chose to know him. Not that it did much good...maybe that was the ultimate reason he was here.
Knowledge. Answers. Call it what you will.

Ein listened to Edward intently, but was quickly turned over to another. As more people entered the shop, he could see why; whether everyone's problems were lining up or not, this man couldn't handle it all and the other male in the room didn't seem too keen on helping anyone. The yuki-onna frowned slightly, but accompanied Ein toward Hae-min after he said his thanks to Edward, growing less and less visible the closer they were to the Asian girl.
Clearing his throat, he took a seat across from her and tugged at the white hooded collar around his neck. Dealing with women was always a bit awkward for him, especially attractive women. Hopefully he wouldn't say or do anything stupid. His demon was picking up on this, however, and she wasn't impressed.
"Y-yes, hello. ...So, he said you've experienced the... mumbling thing, too?" 'you' being a general pronoun, as Ein had been referring to the shop as a whole, "Um... I was thinking, if it was an isolated incident, maybe it was in reaction to my summoning of and contracting the yuki-onna...?" The temperature dropped. "B-but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. No one... else mentioned the.. blood in the shower, though..."
The yuki-onna's ethereal voice came immediately after as her face appeared in white smokey tendrils above Ein's shoulder, pale eyes staring into Hae-min's own. Her positioning was as if she were holding her summoner close, without actually touching him. Laying claim. "He is distraught, as you can see. What information can you give to put his mind at ease?" it was obvious, she was wanting to rush this as best she could and go back home.

She smiled warmly. "I would offer you tea, but poor Edward is so overwhelmed it would be best if I stayed down here," said Hae-min, carefully closing her ledger. It was clear she was listening intently, bluish-gray eyes focused in his. The yuki-onna's gaze she met squarely, without flinching; of course, Hae-min had spent her entire life consorting with demons.
"Such things are normally intended as messages," she said plainly; "Someone is trying to speak with us. The mumbling, Edward says it was Enoch, as spoken by angels or very high-ranking demons..."
Then she giggled, one hand overing her smile. "Of course, that won't put you at ease..." The smile faded. "It will probably continue until the demon gets its message to one of us, I am so sorry. But we will always be here if you need to talk?..."
Leaning forward, she asked, "Is there anything I can do to help? There are things you can do to keep demons out; I could help with those."
Meanwhile, Edward was shaking his head. "Four places at once?... Well. I'll tell you what we know." He looked up at Korbin, smiled genially, and then continued: "The creature speaks Enoch, more specifically High Enoch--humans can't hear its syllables properly, much less identify it, but thankfully my contract with the banshee circumvents that... It was rambling about-- well, I didn't catch most of it. Nor did the banshee. The phrase we caught was 'she's coming'."
He shrugged, crossed his arms. "Who this 'she' is, I don't know. My mentor posits that it might be Lilith, Queen of Demons. This would be unfortunate..." Another shrug. "But it's unlikely. Any demon high-ranking enough to speak Enoch at all would be a direct relative within two generations of Lilith herself. They would have no desire to warn us at all."
With a shake of his head, he glanced at Korbin again. "And who might you be? I don't believe I have any appointments for this afternoon..."

"Oh, th-that's alright..." he left out the fact that he didn't really like tea to begin with.
Enoch... The languages of angels and high ranking demons.
That was incredibly worrisome.
"I, uh... I'm not sure, really. I don't know why it would want to try and get its message out to me..." Ein rubbed the back of his neck, feeling the yuki-onna's cold breath on it. He was, after all, extremely unremarkable and a relatively worthless individual, so this demon or angel, whatever it was, should have no need to contact him in such ways if they were already attempting to contact the proprietors of such an establishment a Daemonolgie. "What sort of things would you be able to give...?" Information couldn't hurt, he supposed, and anything to make his family less worrisome would be good, though they seemed to not notice either incident thus far.
The yuki-onna's efforts to intimidate the girl went unfulfilled and so she found her protective were for naught, and her eyes narrowed as she pulled back. There was another demon in the area, one with a name, even, but he seemed relatively unapproachable. Scoffing and floating away from her summoner, the yuki-onna returned to invisibility, temperature rising just slightly with her "departure".

Korbin for the most part was surprised by both the warm smile, and the greeting. Perplexing. That's what he'd have called it. Despite himself he smiled in return, inclining his head politely. He knew manners, even if people weren't his specialty. "No.. I don't have an appointment. My name if you wish to know is Kornellius Yymir, Korbin works just fine however." Korbin smiled sheepishly, he felt like he was intruding.
Stepping closer to the stranger (and ultimately into the shop) he glanced around, continuing to explain himself. " I suppose I'm here more..seeking answers for once." A small frown replaced his smile.
"You had said something..about a strange language?" Korbin's gaze fell onto his boots as he spoke for the moment. "I ask because I was led here after a number of...issues." Issues? More like waking up to a strange voice. "The name of this establishment was the only thing that made sense. I chose to follow the led." He still was leery about admitting he even experienced hauntings. Although that was fast changing. Especially now surrounded by these people.
