Nibal grinned as he 'rode' Kalseru underwater. Peri had mentioned something about letting him and Kal take some of the more advanced dragon classes soon and the boy knew that the green dragon would need some practice in flying first. And since water made you weigh less, where better to practice?
Of course, the cold temperatures outside had forced them to go to a nearby indoor pool, but they had the place pretty much to themselves. A few families had come in, but once they spotted Kalseru, they'd made their way to the door rather quickly.
Kalseru had not been happy about having to leave her necklace at home, but the sensation of mock-flight had cheered her up. She flapped her wings and angled herself and her boy up to the surface. Her forward movement caused them to break the surface and send them upwards for a few moments before they came crashing back down with a splash.
Nibal laughed, forced to cut it short as the green dragon dove again. He only wished the pool was deeper. Deep it was, as there were diving boards above their heads and the pool was deepest here, but with Kal's larger size, the pool seemed smaller than it truly was.
The pair 'flew' about underwater some more before Nibal signaled Kal to surface. He gasped, laughing and patting the green's neck. "Good job, Kal! You'll be able to really fly soon!"

The winter weather dampened Zach's spirits. It wasn't seasonal depression, but a longing for the ocean. Gambino was freezing, and no amount of poking or prodding or swearing would get Rene to take him there.
However, after much begging and bitching, she finally relented into taking him to the pool. He grinned as he changed into his trunks in the locker room, ignoring anyone who looked at him twice. You know what? ******** them. He was awesome, and he was going swimming.
Once he got into the pool room, he saw the boy and dragon, pausing momentarily, mouth open. Oh, Wow. Look at that. A dragon. A big, beautiful, wonderful dragon. He'd get a dragon like that someday, and it would be his own ******** awesome dragon.
Zach squished over to that end of the pool, couching down. "I'm going to get a dragon too," He said, not able to contain the excitement in his voice. "And he's going to be awesome."
The dragon was sort of pudgy, but he didn't care. It was a dragon. not as awesome as his ******** awesome dragon would be, though. And then there was the boy, who was brightly colored. Zach knew that color, somehow. That was a color of 'stay back!'.
It was a ******** cool color.

Kalseru turned to look at whomever had decided to speak. Must be someone brave as he hadn't run at the sight of her.
Nibal turned to look as well, grinning. "Really? Dragons are awesome." Kal snorted a bit and he patted her neck. "Kal here is the best one, of course." The green made a happy sound at that statement, spreading her wings to float while her boy talked with this other one.
The frog boy peered closer at Zach, then grinned. "Cool... I can see through you!" Wasn't that just awesome? And this other boy had something poofy on his head! Totally cool.
"What kind of dragon are you getting?"

Zach edged closer, slipping his feet down into the pool. "Yep. I'm squishy and see-thru." Dragons made him sort of giddy. He really, really wanted his dragon. Would be the best dragon ever.
Into the pool he went! Splash! Floaty float float.
"A ******** awesome one."

"Squishy?" That had to be cool too! Nibal watched as the boy's hair floated out. He wondered what having hair was like... Ter didn't have hair, but most people did. Except that one old creepy guy that P'las said lived at the park. He was kind of smelly too.
Nibal blinked at Zach's description of his dragon. "I... see." A few moments and he recovered. "Kal's a green dragon." Well, that was stating the obvious. "She likes water and swimming too. Like me. P'las teaches all the kids about dragons at D-corp. I get to take some of the cool classes really soon. Kal's finally old enough to do the fun things! Like flying!"

Zach floated about, not getting too close, just in case. You never knew with people.
"I hafta take school. It's dumb, and I don't like it, but I want my dragon." Zach informed him, ducking under the water momentarily. His headpoof stayed above water, floating while Zach dunked under. Back up he went!
"I haven't gotten to see my egg yet. But I'mma see him, and I'mma take a picture, and I'mma put it in my special box." His dragon was one thing that Zach really, really got excited about.

Nibal frowned. "Yeah, some of the classes are stupid... but some are fun too!" He thought of his skills classes and the melee classes with Kuyoja. Those had been fun. The magic ones weren't as much fun. "The dragon classes are lots of fun! And they get to learn cool things like breathing fire and flying!"
Kal snorted and Nibal corrected himself. "Well... Kal won't learn to breathe fire. But some dragons do."
"Special box? Cool. I should take a picture of you, Kal!"

"You should learn how to breathe fire," Zach told the dragon seriously. He hoped his dragon could breathe fire! Or even breathe rocks. That's be pretty cool too.
"You're very blue," He finally added to Nibal. "Very dangerous blue."

Kal grinned a bit and nudged her boy with her nose. She should totally learn how to breathe fire! Her silly boy didn't know if she would be able to or not! How should he know? He was just a silly blue boy! Not an awesome green dragon.
Nibal glanced down at himself as if he'd forgotten about his unusual skintone. "Ah, yeah. I'm part frog... blue poisonous frog." That made sense, right? "I make toxins on my skin." Downside. "But I can do really cool things like climbs walls with my sticky fingers and toes and use my tongue to grab things from far away!" The totally cool upsides!

"You should let me pet you, too." Zach told the dragon. Because dragons were awesome, and they needed pets.
"It's okay," He told Nibal. "You're poisonous, and I sting bad. I had to get a shot to make me not so poisonous, I think. But it still hurts when I sting, so I try to not sting people unless they're awful." He chattered on, kicking his feet. "But you're not awful, so I won't sting you or your dragon."

Kal perked up at Zach's comment. He wanted to pet her? AWESOME! The green swam closer to the jellyfish boy, clearly taking him up on his offer.
"Uh... thanks. I guess." This boy could sting people? And he had been poisonous. "I wonder if they can give me a shot, too..." Poor boy had no idea that D-corp had influenced his diet to make him poisonous in the first place.
