While psychic healing and natural healing should not replace modern medicine, it can aid in a lot of things. Here I'll post things you can do to aid in your health or others (as long as you have permission!). Once a week I'll add something new you can do to speed along good health. *Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor and my advice should not replace anything a medical doctor may tell you. If your doctor thinks you need antibiotics or something like that, trust him and take it. More often than not they are looking out for your well being. This is just intended as a supplement to whatever else you may need to improve your health*
General Healing If you are feeling under the weather spend a few minutes doing this breathing exercise. Do a basic breathing exercise where you breathe in for five counts, hold for five counts, and exhale for five counts (if you can do it for longer, go ahead, if not don't worry). As you breathe in imagine you are breathing in healing energies, as you hold your breath imagine it is helping, and as you exhale imagine you are exhaling the illness. Do this for as long as you feel comfortable. I don't really hold to a "do this so many times a day" rule with this, so if you only feel well enough for a few rounds once a day, that is fine. If you feel up to doing it two or three times a day, that's fine too. Using this basic breathing exercise, you can also just imagine being surrounded and imbued with white light as you breathe. Imagine the light aiding your body to fight off the illness. Keep it up for as long as you are comfortable. This should help you too.

i've heard that ginger is good for stomach aches (drink ginger ale) and that spicy food is good for colds (helps clear the breathing passages).

That's why if you go to the doctor or the ER when you're really sick they'll (at least if it's a good place) tell you to drink ginger ale, because even in that there is enough ginger to help settle your stomach and hopefully keep you from yakking. I haven't heard that about spicy foods, but I avoid those like the plague smile and I don't know everything anyways so it wouldn't surprise me. Lavender is good for anxiety and calming in general. It's also got antiseptic properties, so some people like to put it on burns and such. I actually have to look up if they use it in a tincture or oil or whatnot, I actually don't know those details. But be warned, especially with spike lavender, it throws off ketones. Which for most people doesn't matter, but if you're diabetic you can become sick from even smelling it. So if you or someone you know is diabetic, be careful with lavender.
Edit: I should add that I myself am diabetic, type 1, but I have never had a problem with either form of lavender before. And for me everything throws my blood sugar off kilter. So if it doesn't affect me it has to be a pretty rare chance of occurrence, lol.

It's my very first post with something! Yay! And I might wind up updating more often, but I'll keep the information in small enough bursts so that hopefully you won't feel overwhelmed. I decided to start you off with the chakras. Book recommendations for this subject are Chakras for Beginners by David Pond if you're new, and Easten Body Western Mind by Anodea Judith if you're more experienced (both of them are sources, as well as various internet sources as well). Enjoy! The word “chakra” is a Sanskrit word that literally translates as “wheel”. It is basically an energy point in the body. There are thousands of chakra points, but the main ones go in a line starting at the base of your spine (the root chakra) and go up to the top of your head (the crown chakra). Each one serves a purpose, and each one can become unbalanced due to many things; stress, diet, how kind we are to ourselves, even how we were raised affects them. However, it is an imbalance that can be corrected. Depending on what caused the imbalance and how long it has been going on it might need more than just one round of therapy, but if you work to get them in balance and keep them in balance you will be much better for it. I’ll start with the first chakra and work up to the last as the first is our base, and without a good foundation to support us we will crumble. First Chakra: Muladhara (root chakra) Location: Base of spine Color: Red Element: Earth Identity: physical Purpose: Self-preservation Underactive/deficient symptoms: Disconnection from body, notably underweight, fearful, anxious, restless, can’t settle, poor focus and discipline, financial difficulty, poor boundaries, chronic disorganization Overactive/excessive symptoms: obesity, overeating, hoarding, fixation, greed, sluggish, lazy, tired, fear of change, addiction to security, rigid boundaries Stones: red/black Oils: Patchuli, cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver The first chakra is located at the base of the spine. It is our foundation; it helps keep us steady when it is strong and weakens everything else when it is not. It allows us to reach to the heavens as it buries roots deep within the earth to help steady us. A healthy first chakra gives us security, while an unhealthy one breeds fear. A deficient chakra is weak, unable to support any of the others because it is not taking in enough energy. An excessive chakra draws from the others, leaving them no energy to use for themselves. Either way, if left alone long enough this imbalance can and eventually will cause an imbalance in the others. The easiest way to treat an imbalance in the first chakra is movement. Sports are the easiest way to energize a deficient chakra because it helps move energy through the chakra. Yoga is great for an excessive chakra because it helps the body to release and let go of pent up energy. Another thing you can do is color therapy. If you chakra is deficient, use red. If it is excessive, use blue. Hold one hand above the root chakra and imagine your hand glowing with the appropriate colored light. Imagine it imbuing and infusing the chakra. Hold the visualization for as long as you are comfortable or until you feel it is time to stop. If stones are your preference, take either a red stone (if deficient) or a black stone (if excessive) and lay down. Place the stone on top of the chakra and let it sit there for ten-fifteen minutes or however long you are comfortable. You can also hold it in your hand and let your body absorb the energy that way. If you prefer oil, take one of the oils associated with the root chakra and mix a drop or two in your palm with a bit of carrier oil (almond oil and olive oil are two good carriers), rub your palms together, and inhale the scent until you start to feel more calm and balanced. You can also use a bit of essential oil and carrier oil for a massage, as this will help as well. That’s basically it for balancing your root chakra. Depending on how long it has been unbalanced for, you might want to check your other chakras, and even repeat the therapy for just this one more than once to help it get back into balance. (Edited to add the bit about massage. Don't know why I forgot to include that. >_<)

Yay, she updated again! This time I bring you information on the second chakra. Should have said so before, but I'm keeping the information on each chakra to the basics for now. There is a lot you can do for each one, but I didn't want to overwhelm anyone with too much at once. However, these guides should still provide you with enough information to bring each chakra into balance on your own. If you have any questions, either ask them here or pm me and I'll answer to the best of my ability. If I can't, I'll try to point you in the right direction. Enjoy!
Second Chakra: Svanhisthana (sacral chakra)
Location: About two finger-widths (or one inch) below the naval
Color: Orange
Element: Water
Identity: Emotional
Purpose: Self-gratification
Underactive/deficient symptoms: rigidity in body and attitudes, frigidity, fear of sex, poor social skills, denial of pleasure, excessive boundaries, lack of desire, passion, and excitement
Overactive/excessive symptoms: sexual acting out, sexual addiction, pleasure addiction, excessively strong emotions, ruled by emotions (hysteria, bipolar mood swings, crisis junkies), oversensitive, poor boundaries, invasion of others boundaries, seductive manipulation, emotional dependency, obsessive attachment
Stones: orange/purple stones
Oils: Rose, rosemary, ylang-ylang, juniper, sandalwood, jasmine
The second chakra is centered around pleasure and pleasurable things. If it feels good, it stimulates this chakra. After all, what should come after making sure basic needs (first chakra) are met than to indulge in something that makes us feel good? However, it is easy to bring imbalance to this chakra, especially here in the Western world, as overindulgence and addiction is often used as compensation for other areas we feel are lacking.
Healing this chakra is more difficult than the first. Since this chakra is about emotions, the most important part of bring it into balance is allowing ourselves to feel. We have a right to our emotions, no matter how irrational they seem to us or anyone else, and no one truly has the right to take that away. However, overindulgence in emotion can be just as bad, as it will cause us to lose sight of what is truly important in our lives. So a careful balance must be struck to bring this chakra into awareness. One of the best things for this chakra is actually therapy, as therapy allows us to reclaim our right to our emotions if we are denying them, or to rein them in if we allow them too much freedom. However, it’s not always practical as therapy is expensive and out of a lot of people’s reach.
To heal with color, hold one hand over the chakra and imagine either an orange or purple light emanating from your hand to the chakra itself. Imagine it imbuing the chakra and bringing balance to it. Do this for as long as you are comfortable, or until you feel the chakra has been balanced.
To heal with stones, use the appropriate color stone (such as carnelian for a deficient chakra and amethyst for an excessive one) and, while lying down, place it on the chakra. Meditate for ten-fifteen minutes, or as long as you are comfortable, to bring balance to this chakra. You can also hold it in your hand and let your body absorb the energy that way.
To use oil, mix a drop or two of the appropriate oil in your hands with a carrier oil and inhale the scent until you feel more balanced. You or someone else can also massage a bit of the essential oil (as long as it’s safe to use on skin!) mixed with carrier oil on your skin and let it soak in.
It might take more than one session to bring balance to this delicate chakra. Don’t fret if that is the case, just continue working on it and eventually you will see results.

Third Chakra: Manipura (solar plexus chakra)
Location: Solar plexus (above navel, below breastbone)
Color: Yellow
Element: Fire
Identity: Ego
Purpose: Self-definition
Underactive/deficient symptoms: Low energy, weak will, easily manipulated, poor self discipline and follow-through, low self-esteem, poor digestion, collapsed middle, attraction to stimulation, victim mentality, blaming of others, passive, unreliable
Overactive/excessive symptoms: Overly aggressive, domineering, controlling, need to be right, have last word, manipulative, power hungry, deceitful, attraction to sedatives, temper tantrums, violent outbursts, stubbornness, driving ambition (type A personality) competitive, arrogant, hyperactive
Stones: yellow stones such as topaz, citrine, and amber
Oils: Juniper, lavender, bergamot, rosemary, vetiver
Manipura deals with power. It is our right to say “yes” when we mean it and “no” for the same. It is our power over ourselves and our power over others. When it is weak, we give up our power too easily, allowing ourselves to be hurt when we have the right to say no. When it is too strong, we dominate others, controlling them so that we may feel control ourselves.
Inner work heals this chakra best. To heal a deficient chakra, we must allow ourselves the right to say “no”. We must allow ourselves to say “yes” when we truly want something that is genuinely offered. To heal an overactive chakra, we must reign in our urge to control others, to accept they have the same rights we do to make our own decisions.

Lucky; you get two posts this time. Enjoy!
Fourth Chakra: Anahata (heart chakra)
Location: On the chest
Color: Green
Element: Air
Identity: Social
Purpose: Acceptance of ourselves and others
Underactive/deficient symptoms: Anti-social, withdrawn, cold, critical, judgmental, intolerant of self or others, loneliness, isolation, depression, fear of intimacy, fear of relationships, lack of empathy, narcissism
Overactive/excessive symptoms: Disorders of the heart, lungs, thymus, breasts and arms, shortness of breath, sunken chest, circulation problems, immune system deficiency, asthma, tension between shoulder blades, pain in chest
Stones: Green stones such as peridot, emerald, also diamond and rose quartz
Oils: Cedarwood, rose, sandalwood
The heart chakra governs love; the love we feel for ourselves and the love we feel for others. Without love of ourselves or others, we cannot grow; life cannot bloom in dead ground. This chakra feels strongly, and can be easily weakened if the ones before are weak as well. When it’s underactive we behave poorly towards ourselves and others, denying both us and them the right to feel love because we feel we don’t deserve it. If overactive we are unable to separate ourselves from others; we become “bleeding hearts”, unable to put some distance between ourselves and our loved ones. We do this to reassure ourselves about our place in this world, when that reassurance should come from inside, not other’s approval.
If there is a deficiency in this chakra it is best to check the ones below it too, as it could be a blockage that has started lower but worked its way upwards. To heal the heart chakra, we must learn to love, both ourselves and others if deficient and others without damaging ourselves if overactive. To learn to love is a hard thing, especially when we have not seen what love can be.
I started to practice healing more than ten years ago, I'm a bit rusty now as I fell out of practice, but running this thread helps me brush up on what I once knew. If it would help I can post helpful books in the first post. Actually, I think I'll go do that now. ^_^

Here is my piece on the fifth chakra. hope it helps!
Fifth Chakra: Vissundha (throat chakra)
Location: neck/throat
Color: blue
Element: sound
Identity: creative
Purpose: self-expression
Underactive/deficient symptoms: fear of speaking, small weak voice, difficulty putting feelings into words, introversion, shyness, tone deaf, poor rhythm
Overactive/excessive symptoms: too much talking, talking as a defense, inability to listen, poor auditory comprehension, gossiping, domineering voice, interruption
Stones: any blue such as blue topaz, blue tigers eye (also red stones to bring an overactive one under control)
Oils: Lavender, patchouli
The fifth chakra is the root of our creativity, or rather our expression of it. We are all creative beings, it is finding the outlet for it that seems to hinder people. Sounds carry to the etheric field, and this is where this chakra comes into play. Vissundha is easily offbalanced by yelling, screaming, verbal abuse. In some cases, it causes us to retreat, to weaken, weakening our voice and our ability to express ourselves and thus our creativity. An overactive one is too forceful; it does not let others get a chance to express themselves, choosing to dominate instead.
To heal this chakra, we must learn to express ourselves in a healthy manner. We must learn that we can speak our minds, and let others do the same. To heal a deficient chakra with color you would use blue, but for an overactive one use red to calm it. The above exercises for stones and oils apply here if you would prefer those instead

alright folks, last two chakras! Enjoy!
Sixth Chakra: Ajna (third eye chakra)
Location: middle of the forehead
Color: Indigo
Element: Light
Identity: Archetypal
Purpose: Self-reflection
Underactive/deficient symptoms: Insensitivity, poor vision, poor memory, difficulty seeing the future, lack of imagination, poor dream recall, denial, monopolarized (one true right and only way)
Overactive/excessive symptoms: Hallucinations, delusions, obsessions, difficulty concentrating, nightmares Stones: dark blue stones such as lapis lazuli
Oils: Lavender, Jasmine, Patchouli, Frankincense, Violet
Ajna is about seeing, not sight. To see physically is one thing, but to gain insight is another, and this is what Ajna deals with. Illusions are the trademark of an unbalanced third eye, though the route it takes varies. An underactive one does not see things are they truly are, while an overactive see things that are not there at all. This chakra is commonly thought of as one that leads to such things as clairvoyance, which isn’t too far from the truth. However, developing this one with no attention to the others can (and probably will) lead to an imbalance. To bring balance to this chakra, we must simply learn to listen to our innermost voice. We must pay attention to what our intuition tells us, and seek to overcome barriers blocking the road to psychic development. Through careful work and discipline, we can learn to master that which this chakra is most known for, and thus bring balance to it.
To heal with color, decide which you need. If you chakra is deficient, use indigo to revitalize it (though be wary of a bad mood; if you are feeling depressed or down it’s best to avoid this color as it can aggravate and deepen the mood). If it is overactive, use orange to help calm it down.

Seventh Chakra: Sahasrara (crown chakra)
Location: top of the head
Color: violet
Element: Thought
Identity: universal
Purpose: self-knowledge
Underactive/deficient symptoms: spiritual cynicism, learning difficulties, rigid belief systems, apathy, excess in lower chakras-materialism, greed, domination of others
Overactive/excessive symptoms: overintellectualization, spiritual addiction, confusion, disassociation from body
Stones: Violet or white ones such as amethyst or moonstone
Oils: Benison, Camphor, Chamomile, Cinammon, Jasmine, Lemon Grass, Sandalwood, Yarrow
This chakra deals with spirituality and how we deal with it. If we are raised in a healthy, accepting environment we learn to judge things on their own merits, not because they are different, strange, or not in our own beliefs. However, if we are raised in an environment that is rigid in it’s belief structure, it closes this chakra down, making it harder to open ourselves to new things, and thus shutting us off from ourselves as well.
To heal and balance this chakra, use concentrative meditation; this is where you concentrate on something (be it a sound, an image, or movement) to force the mind to focus. Such things as gazing at a mandala, repeating a mantra, rhythmic breathing or concentrating on a thought are ways you can achieve this. Bringing the other chakras into balance first aids this as well, for if there is a blockage energy cannot flow, and where it cannot flow it cannot be found.
To heal with color, use violet for a deficient chakra or orange for an overactive one.
