Cookie was a very hard child to keep at times, Lam had found. The little girl, while very friendly, was also very bouncy. Both in the literal and metaphorical sense. She was very energetic and active, but also had a power that allowed her to zoom around after bouncing twice. Because of this, the blonde had to keep a very firm handle on her daughter, lest the chimera-kitten end up zooming into something dangerous - seeing as she couldn't steer at all.
However, if a child's nature is to bounce and fly, then letting them indulge now and then is reasonable. With that in mind, Lam had taken her daughter to a very large indoor playground known in town for having a huge moon bounce room. This was the type of area she could set Cookie loose to tire herself out to her heart's content, and that's exactly what they were going to do.
The pink haired kitten looked around and curiously mewed as she was put inside the moon bounce. It felt weird and softer than most things. She poked it experimentally and looked at the other children for ideas.

After Shadai had learned of Azrael's part in helping Cody rob a store, things had quickly gone downhill. Mainly, he was rarely at home or around the pink-haired spawn to prevent future escape plans and as a sort of punishment in a roundabout way. Instead of being at home, he was put in day-cares or was forced to be babysat by Ary while she was working.
Needless to say, both became tiresome and now he was at an indoor playground where there were cameras and adults everywhere. After trying to escape for almost an hour, Azrael gave up and ventured towards the moon bounce. It was the strangest contraption he had ever seen and one of the most fun. When a younger creature entered, his interest instantly shifted from bouncing and showing off to her.
Bouncing over, the little demon crouched next to her and doing a little flip at the end as he stopped. "Hello there," he said, grinning proudly at his little feat and at finding such a strange little girl. At least... he figured she was one. She was kind of strange looking.

Cookie watched the older child in wide eyed wonder and clapped emphatically when he had finished his filp. "Boing!" she exclaimed, mewing some and curling the end of her tail. If it meant anything at all, it meant she was impressed. When he actually greeted her, Cookie waved and mewed. It seemed there was only one word she really said said.
(sorry for the small post XP Without Lam around, Cookie's not too chatty)

If there was one way to stroke his ego, it was applauding him on a recent feat. It took the prideful pumpkin demon a moment to realize that the girl didn't exactly... well, speak. Crud. "Been here before?" Azrael asked, suddenly finding her lack of speech as a sort of game. She could probably only answer yes or no questions, so most if not all of what he said had to be answered with a yes, no, or pointing. The little demon smiled, thrilled at his new hidden game of his. Oh, he was totally the most clever demon around, for sure.

Cookie looked at him, blinking and curling her tail. Been there before? Had she? The kitten child mewed curiously and twitched her ears, having absolutely no idea what the correct answer here would be. She hadn't been there before, but it wasn't an idea she could quite comprehend. Eventually, she decided she hadn't and shook her head.

Azrael frowned slightly. Ok, now he had to wonder how much she actually understood. Oh boy, this was going to be difficult. "Alright. Wanna bounce? Really fun," he asked, figuring her shaking head meant she hadn't been here and not that she had no effing idea as to what he just asked her.

Cookie knew that word - bounce! "Boing Boing!" The infant said, nodding emphatically, and started to move a bit with the moon bounce. It wasn't quite like how she was used to bouncing - it moved with her rather than being super firm under her. And that was just weird! She mewed in confusion and tried to push off a bit but ended up falling on her face.
"Boing boing?" she said, looking confused.

Azrael couldn't help the soft giggle that escaped him as the infant attempted to jump and fell flat on her face. "Sorry, bit different than outside," he said, bouncing a little to let her get a feel of how the moon bounce worked. It was a difficult concept to grasp at first, and probably even more so when one wasn't all that big in height and such.

Cookie pouted but watched him bounce and tried for herself. Instead, however, all she ended up doing was making the floor squish in and out. But she should be boinging by now!
The infant looked sad and held up her arms to Azzie to be picked up. He could pick her up and bounce with her, then she could boing, right?

Azrael frowned slightly as Cookie failed to bounce properly and give the usual sign that all kids used when they wanted to be picked up. Without Aenira being around the house and wanting to be carried a lot, he was pretty sure he'd be clueless on what she wanted.
Careful of her claws, the little pumpkin demon gently picked her up and held her. "Guess it's a little harder when you're small, huh?" he asked, knowing he'd receive little as a response. Once she was settled in a place where she wouldn't fall or severely injure him, Azrael began to jump and bounce along, slowly gaining momentum and height as he went and got back into the rhythm of it.

Cookie giggled happily and curled her tail as they bounced, clinging to Azzie as they did. Why couldn't she bounce like this on her own? She was supposed to be able to! "boing boing."

Azrael grinned as Cookie giggled and seemed rather happy to be bouncing. Ah, well, if she was happy he had to be happy right? After a few minutes though, the little toddler slowed in his bouncing and eventually came to a stop. "I'm tired. Wanna try bouncin' 'gain?" he asked, wondering what else they could do together.

Cookie nodded and wriggled out of his arms to try bouncing on the floor again. She remained unable to bounce as she normally did, but going with the regular rhythm of the moon bounce, she at least managed to move a bit that way. Though, of course, this resulted in her giggling even more.

Azrael couldn't help, but grin at the strange little girl's attempt at bouncing. At least she managed to move and not fall on her face. "You're doing really good. Keep it up!" he encouraged, suddenly wondering why she was so fascinated with bouncing... Oh well, maybe he'd find out later when she could talk or something.

Cookie smiled up at him, trying to bounce again. She didn't have her usual lift but she did manage to boing a bit. "Boing boing!" she giggled, clapping before relaxing against the floor again.
