Okay, okay. We all love crossovers don't we? (Maybe not) Anyways, this thread is a place where people can pitch cross over ideas/questions involving Phantom and ANYTHING else: Books, Movies, Music, Etc... since we all know Phantom has been taken and run with in a million directions by movie makers, clearly we make odd connections in our minds as well. I'll start off with the first thought, feel free to respond and add more, I'll post the questions people pose on this first post here.
Ponder This...
-What if a baker and his wife gave Erik a potion which would suddenly make him not ugly anymore. That is to say give him an ordinary appearance. However, this potion would not only make his appearance ordinary, it would make him entirely ordinary: no outstanding skills of any kind, no outstanding voice or composing skills. Do you think he would choose to take the potion? Why or why not? What if one morning he suddenly woke up like that? (Heh... Tulip loves the Witch in Into the Woods if you couldn't tell.)

Wait. Is this BEFORE Christine leaves him, before he MEETS Christine, or while he's fawning over her? xd I guess depending on where he is in life it would sway his decision, wouldn't it? But hmn... I guess halfway through the book... like Act II of ITW... XD

Wow, you summed it up so much better than I could. Anyways in the words of the witch "I was perfect, I had everything but beauty, I had power, and a daughter like a flower in a tower, but I went into the woods to get my wish and now I'm ordinary." Erik and the Witch have that in common I think. Erik is a total genius, if not also suffering from psychosis, but the one thing he doesn't have is beauty. Not even beauty, he doesn't even look normal.
The Witch and Erik should start a support group....

That makes bo sense, but I'm not going to argue with you about your standards of judging musicals. I only know about ITW because I have to perform a song from it for a class next semester.

Well I'm a freak and I'm not denying it XP, what song by the way?
Also as for my odd ideas about musicals, if it makes you feel better I could things like Phantom, Les Mis, and Miss Saigon to be a step beyond them. Simply because my family raised me like that.

Okay, pitching crossover ideas...picture Erik in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. Where/how would he be? A Chosen/Forsaken? Dead? Haunting Rhuidean?

If Erik was in Star Wars he just might feel normal.
Makes me wonder... If Erik was in Star Wars would he be fighting for the Empire, the Rebels, neutral, or would he be hanging out on Tatuine (Damn, I forgot how to spell it XD)
