Itachi comes back in the end of chapter 477 in naruto manga. I think that it's either a genjustu or Itachi implanted a clone into sasuke waiting for sasuke to fight danzo.

Karin is based off the main character of an anime with the same name. About a vampire who has to much blood and has to give it up at times or suffer from chronic nosebleeds and it can heal others
