This is a thread for questions pertaining to Wicca, Druidism, and just general Paganism. You can ask anything from questions with one answer, to questions with multiple answers, to just plain opinions on something. Have fun.

What does everyone think about Faeries? Do you believe in them/have you ever seen one? Just curious because I'm a firm believer.

I personally am I firm believer in the existence of Faeries, however I'm not a big fan of Fairy Wicca... although that's a completely different topic XD
I hail from Ireland and Scotland, so how could I not believe in the wee folk?~

Nope. I don't think anyone should "dabble" in anything they don't fully understand, you know?

Well I mean dabble as in somewhat studied or had experience with it. Faerie magick is actually a very happy and easy magick. It's mostly the idea of contacting the wee folk through meditation, ritual, or other means.
Actually, I'm going to write an article on this! 3nodding

I believe and have seen, though I've seen only one small group. It actually wasn't that long ago, Friday actually. It was at my Great Uncle's Funeral. (That's why I haven't been so active.)

King of the Necrothreads, here...
To be blunt, Faeries are real. They are around, just incredibly ( read : well-nigh impossible) to spot, unless they want you to.
Now, someone out there will undoubtedly say, "But River, you are a smart, well-read, amazingly attractive and completely 'with it' type of guy. How can you possibly justify the existence of Faeries?" Those people, obviously, are in the wrong place. But the question is valid.
I personally believe the Faeries are as real as they wish. Complicated, but true. Three hundred years ago, belief in the "Wee Folk" was commonplace. But then that great bugaboo and general party pooper, Science, came along and said otherwise. And since Science throws the best parties (they have really good Beer), modern man fell for it.
But remember, all jokes aside. Don't take the Good Folk lightly. Terry Pratchett, after doing extensive research for his novel Lords and Ladies, made the great quote "elves are bastards". They aren't the nice, fluffy, Tolkein-esque folk singing hippies. They mean business, even if that business is Merry Pranks.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to crash one of Science's parties. They may have great Beer, but my Mead and Acorn Bread is outta sight, man....
Peace, RM

Sorry if I spelt her name wrong!! YES! It is an amazing book. I've not finished it yet because when I'm reading something I tend to get sidetracked, but when I do get to reading it, it's hard for me to set it down.
