Anyone read Memoirs of a Geisha?
I'm on page ~200, and loving it.
NORUININGENDING.
And Pumpkin makes me giggle.
(If you haven't read the book, you must think I have a fetish for over-sized, orange vegetables. gonk )

An american author writes about a Japanese Geisha. An american director takes the Geisha story, and casts the main character to a Chinese. LOLZ?

I read that book.
OMGILOVEDITSOMUCH.
It's so good.
I can't wait to see the movie. I think it looks great.
But everyone keeps on bitching in their reviews that thier accents are horrible.
That frustrates me. A lot of them learned english for this movie and they learned how to speak it with a Japanese accent.
Personally, I think they nailed it. :3

Mozzarella Spamster Yeah, me too.
I'm seeing it on Christmas Eve with my friend.
xd blaugh heart heart Make that friends. Me, you, Louis and whoelse? Djurdja, anyone else. Think Marsha.
And, Otan-Wakka, yes, I agree. When I read the reviews, no one actually comments on the movie. They just say how the "dancing was only a stereotypical version of Japanese dance." And how Ziyi Zhang is chinese, and everyone hates her.
