Khaless opened one amethyst eye slowly, looking idly around the cave she and Kirill stayed in. She nuzzled her mate briefly to wake him, then stretched out her front paws languidly, back arching down. She shook herself slightly, resettling fur mussed from sleeping. Khaless padded outside the den, the violet on her coat glinting with the late afternoon sun. She sat on her haunches in a small patch of sunlight, ears flicking as she caught the sounds around her.
She half closed her eyes as she waited for her mate, letting the late sunlight lull her as she waited for Kirill. To any watching eye, Khaless would have looked still half asleep. She was, however, anything but sleepy as she listened to the forest around her.

Kirill let out a low, very unsatisfied grunt as he did every time he was wakened by his mate. But not for the idea of Khaless being the one waking him, but for leaving his own dreams. Lazily standing he rolled his shoulders cracking his joints, yawning with a grumble he slowly made his way out of the cave and sat next to his mate. The charms on his spikes chiming softly.
Giving Khaless a soft nuzzle he looked about the area making sure everything was how it should be. He liked his mess where it was. Licking at his snout he took a deep breath and allowed his tail to flick about contently.

Khaless returned his brief nuzzle with a small lick, her eyes warm only when they rested on him. She stretched again, loosening muscles that lay dormant dormant during sleep. Khaless flexed her paws, enjoying the soft rasp of her claws against the ground. "We should hunt today." she said quietly to Kirill, her eyes watching the forest.

Kirill looked to his mate with something of a questionable look. "We only just finished our rations the other day." Speaking softly yet sternly he turned to make his way up to the top of the hill the cave was dug into. "A day of fasting after a meal as large as our supper last night is good for cleansing." Falling to the ground atop the hill at his look out his eyes began to scan the horizon and near by open areas. "We will hunt tomorrow."
Kirill called out his last statement to his mate at the bottom of the miniature mountain. Intent on his duty he fell silent as he carried out his task.

Khaless snorted softly, almost amused at her mate's insistence they did not go anywhere. Nonetheless, she stayed seated in the small clearing, eyes following Kirill as he took his customary path upwards. They'd chosen this place to form their pack because it was such a strategic, protected place.. and secluded, far into the forests. Khaless' tail moved slightly, restless. Unike her calmer mate, Khaless was continually moving. She shook herself slightly as she stood back up, padding up to Kirill. She didnt seat herself next to him though, choosing to stay standing to one side of him. "I might go out anyways.. This place is still new to us, there are still places in these woods we havent been." she said lightly, almost itching to get moving.

Kirill watched his mate intently, emerald eyes glaring at her astonished at her defiant nature. "You should learn to contain such energy to help you through times when we have no food." Crossing his wrists he returned his gazer to the forest, pressing his ears forward. "If you do so wish to run off then by all means." Kirill said deeply as a shudder ran through his spine causing the charms to chime. Shifting slightly as he awaited his mate's decision Kirill allowed his tail to flick side to side.

Sirius trotted around nervously, looking his green head all about, constantly searching for danger, his young inexperienced eyes darted about to and fro. Frankly the little pup was just plain scared. Through the workings of some higher force, perhaps it was fate, Sirius happened upon the two adults Kirill and Khaless, the two fresh leaders of a new pack, which of course, Sirius hadn't heard of. His stomach growled as he passed by the two. Turning his small head in their direction, he pawed over to them, and looked up into their eyes, his body shaking, "got any food to spare?"

Khaless, still standing, turned herself around lightning-fast as the pup's scent reached her. Her fur bristling, Khaless barely restrained a snarl. When her eyes met the tiny green pup's, though, her fur started to settle again. He was just.. a baby. She looked sideways at her mate, questioning. If they'd let the pup stay, they were going to have to hunt after all. "We dont at the moment, little one, but food is easily gotten." She looked down at his trembling body, wondering how he'd even made it this far into the woods, he was so young.

The young cub took a couple steps towards the rear, towards escape, towards solitude once more. The hairs on the nape of his neck stood up, as each paw stepped back. "Easily gotten, eh? Not from me it won't be!" Sirius growled as he continued back a little more, a few steps more and he would dart off, he was just far enough to have a good head start if that adult tried anything.

"The idea that you think we are cannibalistic is down right degrading." Kirill's voice near shouted over the pup's words. Standing slowly and standing next to his mate, being a fair amount taller at the shoulder he looked down to the quivering fur ball. Taking his time in examining the adolescent he grunted softly. "With that said quit your pathetic act. You should know fairly well if we were going to eat you you would be coughing on your own blood at this very moment." Sitting calmly he could tell his mate would end up being soft around a pup and rolled his shoulders. "If you can stay out of trouble and a distance from me you may stay until the morrow when we will be hunting."
Kirill said rather sharply as he turned and padded back to his look out point and fell to the ground with a thud and returned to his job. Tail flicking about as he did so, he focused on keeping an eye on his home.

Sirius walked a good distance from the two, curling up under a tree with a mean look in his eyes, ferocious. Sure he was shy, and sure he was scared, but he was not going to be talked down to the by some adult he had never met. Although it was too early for him to know it, Sirius was going to hate authority in all of it's forms. Sirius did not like condescending types, and it seemed Kirill was gonna be one of those types.

The stream played a most harmonious music as it flowed down the rocks into a small pool. Enelye lay next to the pool staring into it, trying to catch a water bug. Rolling onto her back she twisted her body side to side reaching for an itch. She was one her own. Hoping onto her feet she spotted a bird that perched near her. Crouching she pounced onto the finch biting it with her pin needle teeth. It wasn’t much of a struggle nor was it much food. Enelye managed to get by with what she caught and found. Still she was rather skinny, almost sickly. Devouring her meal she walked to the pool and lapped up the refreshing water and cleaned her mussel of blood. Laying down again by the stream she closed her eyes, falling fast asleep.

Khaless loked at her mate frostily, her violet eyes snapping. "There are more than just that one," she tilted her horned head to indicate the green pup, "cant you scent them in the air?" She watched him intently, having caught the scent of another youngling, not far off. The restlessness Khaless was ingrained with could be useful this day. "We arent alone here anymore, and I suggest that we care for whoever we find.. The young grow up." She said it smoothly, knowing, even if it would be hard to care for pups, that within time they'd be adults who would be useful to them as a pack. They would need strength in numbers if ever predators reached them in these woods.

Kirill snarled momentarily and stood. Begining his way down the hill he called back to his mate. "I will fetch the other.. and I am aware that we need to expand." He called out as he stretched at the bottom of the hill sniffing around the entrance to their cave. "They can fetch us food to see if they are worth.. something even a child can preform." Calling to Khaless as he entered the trees making his way toward the other. Paying no mind to how much noise he made as he trotted toward the drinking pool.
Stepping from the trees he looked over to the newer of the two pups. Spikes lining his spine stretched and poped, causeing the carms to chime announcing his presence to the female pup. Stopping for a moment as he noticed the young one was fast asleep he shook his head and slowly moved to her. Snapping his jaw rather loudly to awaken the pup he awaited her reaction.

An odd noise woke Enelye up. Her eyes shot open as she jumped up onto all four paws growling at the new intruder only to noticed she only came up to his knees. With that she coward and ran behind a large boulder, tail between her legs.
Peeking her head around she observed the invader. He was much taller than her, green and black coloring but seemed to be the same as her. Like her.
Striding out from her hiding place she did a circular line around him. Getting close she sniffed the air. Then she sat down in front of him waiting. He never moved, only his eyes seemed to be doing movement. Moments passed and Enelye spoke. “Whatca want?” Bring up her hind leg to scratch at the base of her ear.
